- In this video I will talk about the design evolution of the Pelikan models starting with a model from 1931 and ending with a 1997 model.
This video contains these models of Pelikan:
1. Pelikan 100 Black 1931 (1931-1944);
2. Pelikan 100N Green Marbled 1949 (1937-1954);
3. Pelikan 140 Dark Green Gruner 1954 (1952-1965);
4. Pelikan M30 1966 (1965-1970);
5. Pelikan Silvexa (1958-1962);
6. Pelikan Steno P470 1983 (1973-2000);
7. Pelikan Souveran M800 14C Gold Nib 1987 and 1988;
8. Pelikan Siver Set from he early 1990's;
9. Pelikan M150 from 1997.
You inspired me to try and collect iconic pens from each design phase, I now have one of almost every model from 1932-1965 (Rappen, 100 (4 chicks from 1935 and war version from 1940s), 100N from the 50s, 100N taylorix reserved for me, IBIS 130, 300 reserved for me, 400, 120, 140 (green striped 1960s, early bordeaux with broad clip, black and black Taylorix with a blue and green one reserverd), 400N, 400NN (green striped OBB and a tortoise brown reserved for me)) and a lot from after that (several 60s/70s rolled golds, silvexxas etc., early m481 with friction fit nib for example)
Thank you so much! I was recently able to purchase my “grail” pen, the M600 Souveran green stripe and it’s so nice to see the history behind it and how Pelikan has developed over the years. I am a new subscriber.
Thank you for your support! I am glad that you are the proud owner of the beautiful Pelikan M600 Souverän with it's classic green stripes! For me it is the perfect German piston filler with a wonderful gold nib.
It is good to know that my videos are appreciated!
Omg your videos are amazing. I'm new to fountain pens and I already learned a lot about montblanc and Pelikan old fountains! Thanks for your content!
Welcome to my small RUclips channel and welcome to the wonderful world of collecting writing instruments!
That's quite the impressive collection. Thanks for yet another excellent video!
Thank you! My collection of Pelikan writing instruments is constantly growing... I love them all!
What a fabulous collection! And demonstrates so well how the design has changed.
It's very clear you love your M800 Souveran, but my favourite is the no-nonsense 100 from 1931.
I aspire one day to purchase an M805, but it seems a long way off yet.
Thank you for sharing.
Thank you! I love my M800 but I want one day to buy a M1000 or a M800 Stone Garden from 2018.
I have beautiful pieces but I always want another one and another one and another one...
I am happy that I can share them with you! 🙂
Nice collection and explanation, I have a remarkable Pelikan vintage and new pens too, my absolute favourites in whole collection (different brands) are 100N, Rappen and M1000(EF). All are super fun to write with!
Hello! My collection of Pelikan writing instruments has grown quite a bit since I've made this video. I have also the Rappen but I don't have the big M1000 yet.
Wonderful explanations about Pelikan fountain pen history. Thank you.
Thank you, Isik Yazan! 😃
Pelikan is my favorite German brand of fountain pen. I have a very nice collection of Pelikan, all the way, and including, the Toledo.
Congratulations on your beautiful collection! Pelikan is a special brand.
This is such an excellent video. Thank you.
I love Pelikan fountain pens, recently i love vintage Pelikan even more!
Your M800 is beautiful, thanks for the upload!
Thank you!

Thx my friend, very nice video 🥰😍🥰🥰💐⚘
Thank you, my friend! 🙂
I am glad you like it! 😉
Thanks for the video. Gorgeous pens..
Thank you for your view! 🙂
Magnifica collezione!
Grazie mille! 🙂
Beautiful video. Very interesting, the changing number of chicken. I wonder if there is a history behind it.
Thank you, great contribution.
I am glad you've like it! 👍
Thank you so much for this wonderful video!! I love pelican!
I am glad you like it! Pelikan is a wonderful classic German brand.
I have an M1000 from that era. It is the best pen in my collection.
I don't have yet a Souverain M1000 in my collection. I own only a M800 from the first two years of production (1987-1988) with a beautiful 14C 585 Broad nib. Some people think that the 1000 is a large pen but I love big and masive pens.
Thanks for the history
Thank you for your time!
Hi, I have a vintage 100N and when you shake it it is dropping some ink which is a bit annoying. I am considering a Pelikan 101N Lizard, I wonder if you have knowledge about lizard version doing the same dropping issue. Thank you.
Klasse Video! Abonniert, Grüsse aus der Schweiz
Danke sehr! 🙂
Grübe aus Rumänien!
The fact that their so called "modern" designs from the 60's to 80's look more out of style than the older ones like m1xx series 😂😂
If they ever build a trycicle b
From 4 chicks to 1 chick in the nest and that little baby still couldn't fly away from its parents' home. Doesn't that represent the late millennials and gen z 😂
Hello Mr Pen Collector, is it possible to identify the actual year a Pelikan pen was made, Are there any markings to help dating a pen, of course you have already indicated the date of the number of chick's on the logo is a clear clue
Please, made this video in Hindi with Pelikan Pens price in the Indian Rupee.
I am sorry, my friend, but I don't know Hindi.
no merz & krell, no toledo ;/
Not yet, my friend, but they will come. 🙂
Hi
New here. My father and uncle were POWs in Germany and came to the US in 1951 with pens.
One is a brown one that looks like a 400n and come with a matching pencil. The other is a green striped which looks like the 100n but has eyes and stripes. Is there a website that can show me more?
There is a website called Pelikan collectibles which lists all models if I’m not mistaken ☺️
