There is absolutely no info on Franconia pens online. I have a similar pen but without any markings. Did you find out what pens are these exactly?

Than you for posting this. What a passion! This model of wonderful Pelikan was given to me when I was a teenager, by an old lady, many years ago. It was a keepsake from her son. I used it in high school and college for writing and drawing portraits, I respected it, but after a dozen or so years I sat on it accidentally breaking it. So I immediately bought the same model in excellent shape for something like 100 dollars because I loved my fountain pen so much.

On the warranty card it reads: Pelikan congratulates you for the winning of this high quality fountain pen. If you wish for another nib size, we will change it into one of the 8 regularly available sizes within four weeks of getting the pen. Of course you can expect a long lasting warranty for this piece of writing equipment in case of any eventual material- or manifacturing errors. You inspired me to try and collect iconic pens from each design phase, I now have one of almost every model from 1932-1965 (Rappen, 100 (4 chicks from 1935 and war version from 1940s), 100N from the 50s, 100N taylorix reserved for me, IBIS 130, 300 reserved for me, 400, 120, 140 (green striped 1960s, early bordeaux with broad clip, black and black Taylorix with a blue and green one reserverd), 400N, 400NN (green striped OBB and a tortoise brown reserved for me)) and a lot from after that (several 60s/70s rolled golds, silvexxas etc., early m481 with friction fit nib for example)

Prices in Greece are probably very close to American prices, even if it doesn't have to travel that far from Germany, even if the monthly salary in Greece is probably a quarter of American salary or maybe less than that. I am wondering what are the prices in Germany? It is the manufacturer country but the monthly salary is 3-4 times that of Greece. Greece is the most expensive country in the Balkans. The cost of living here is unbearable. Back in the 70's-80's everyone could afford to spend even a whole month of vacations in Greek islands, now you can't even go there for 3-4 days. They have been turned into a tourist trap for rich people who made up tens of euros per month.

Nice Monterosa unboxing. About the paper bits stuck to the backside of the sticker: There is a label remover from the bran CRC that if you use a q-tip and spray on it and then touch the bits of paper, the chemical will go through the paper and dissolve the glue on the other side. Gently lift the bits from the sticker and let them dry. Glue them om the box later. Hope you have kept the sticker.

4001 Royal Blue is THE INK in Germany. The ink we all started with in 1st grad (nowadays pupils start with fountain pens in 3rd grade), the ink all public servants have to use and the ink you will find cartridges for in everybody‘s desk drawer.

That’s 1/3 of the price it retails for in the US. We really get shafted on pricing here in the states on anything related to fountain pens. Not to mention that our ridiculous price is for the 30ml bottle

The version 12 set has a dotting wheel in the top left corner, hese are found in the more pro sets and are true works of art and will last several life times, thank you for sharing.

My m400 nib also has cracks on both sides． Are nibs from this era prone to breaking? However，it's a soft nib that bends well．😁
