Good morning, Tim, WOW, I nearly spilled my first coffee. I didn't see an instruction booklet. But I can see a hobby farmer buying them, as you would be able to do countless jobs instantly. Cheers

Thanks for your information. Time will tell regarding breakdowns, quality of build and design.

Side guards are needed to stop you falling off when swinging around, imo, we have dingos and if you don't have them some times you can get thrown off due to having to hold on and work the levers. How many fingers do you have holding on while working the machine?

The question is what the longevity of these cheaper units is, and what parts supply will be like in 5 or 10 years time. UHI just imports generic Chinese machines and slaps their logo on it.

You would be VERY surprised how many parts on name brand machines are made in China. In the same factories. UHI seem to source pretty good stuff.

@@FarmLearningTim I have no problem with that, it's just that models change rather rapidly, as the Chinese products improve quickly. It's just that after sales support is not yet high on their priority list and it is up to UHI to stock the right parts for many years to come. I am very well aware what is made in China and I'm not anti them at all.

You do know these big companies actually have contracts with these "chinese made machines". I own a Kymron XTL30 and it is exactly like any of your big name brands that cost 30 to 50k. I'm happy with it and have finished over 100jobs no problems.

@@kenji-xj2ft good for you. Please do not compare a machine from CAT to a Chinese-made machine. Chinese is good, just not as good.

I bought a yanmar mini excavator and it has been very difficult to have someone service it so for the price I think is worth it I paid big bucks and it has been a disappointment
