Someone pointed out the parallel between episode 3 and 4 with Athena punishing Medusa for what Poseidon did and then with Annabeth for what Percy did, thought it was very interesting
Awesome video ‼️ Poseidon was also embarrassed and angry at Percy’s impertinence with the medusa head and that’s why the water in the fountain didn’t help heal Percy. The gods are the worst parents ever and I get why Annabeth is super loyal to Athena because her adhd and RSD has her thinking that her father and her stepmother hate her so she thinks that if she just keeps Athena happy she will protect her and be there for her even if she is not present. As an ADHD and dyslexic girlie I can totally relate with RSD and people pleasing just to get validation 😅
someone pointed out on some other video i watched that the fountain didnt work cause the poison was too strong and percy needed to be completely submerged in water for it to heal him. i dont think poseidon was was mad at him/them. the person who said that about the fountain also pointed out that we saw water a couple times after they got off the train. the arc's first reveal is through water reflection. then we see the fountain. meaning poseidon was keeping a watch on percy the entire time. also, i personally believe, co sidering poseidon and athena have beef, medusa's head embarassing athena would lowkey bring laughter/joy to poseidon ESPECIALLY since his son sent it amd his own history with medusa. p.s. as an adhd girlie myself i really appreciate the rsd rep! its subtle and accurate. i remember reading the books and getting at rick everytime percy went "oh i do this cause i have adhd" every few paragraphs later. it just felt very "hammering us on the head with it" kind of writing, while here it "reads" better.
I think it just wasn't enough water to heal him, the poison was too strong. Chimera venom is very powerful. Also natural bodies of water are more powerful. The fountain probably would have healed a cut, but not something that strong.
Athena honors her children as her soldiers, every rules, as Annabeth said, is clear to follow. Poseidon, on the other hand. Yes, he might like some of his kids, but he would not hesitate to throw any of the others into the bottom of Tartarus. They are different, but both cruel by nature. Let’s not forget they are gods, it’s impossible for them to be parents of children… at least not the ones as human as halfbloods
Also if you like the series and want Disney to sign off on season 2 or to for them to do the books please make the show go viral because Rick Riordan has already started to plan and write the screen adaptation of book 2 Sea of Monsters and you are so right that book 2 and 3 the storyline just picks up and gets super exciting ‼️💯😻🩵

This episode was good and, for me, too short.
It was very good but yes, very short too. Which was not so great.
