I love when people rearrange! I'm all about trying to find the right presentation that inspires each person the most. I LOVE seeing how others interpret the stories, whatever that may mean. Thanks for sharing, Mel!
Love this and I hate to be a “copy cat” 🤣 but I love what you did in every way and I’m definitely doing this when I get mine!! You have such an eye for color and I loved all the colors but was feeling like do I need them all and it was a little overwhelming…this makes complete sense and just makes it easier!! Thank you for doing this and what Temptalia created was gorgeous and I hope she doesn’t take offense to people doing this!!
You're a brave woman! I cannot even think about depotting and moving pans around in palettes....I can't bear the thought of the name not matching the shade 😅😅
This is what my plan has been since I bought them. Everytime I saw them, I kept wishing like colors were with like colors. But, I prob wouldn’t have bought them all had they been arranged like this. So, I def think it was smart business wise to make them like they did.
Ooh got some Divine Rose vibes from that first creation. This whole collection is honestly good value for some SG shadows! July can’t come soon enough.
Lauren Mae beauty definitely has gotten me into moving shadows around. It got to the point I had so many palettes, I couldn't never really use them all enough. But theres all kinds of inspiration in creating my own version of a new thing. Very cool
I love what you did here! The first rearranged palette really reminds me of the Pat McGrath mothership divine rose 2 palette with the roses and that gold shade 💕💛
Mel omg i love the way you moved the shadows they look so good. You really have a gift of knowing on how to group shadows to look good. I wish you made another pallet with sydney grace i would buy it in a heart beat ♥
After watching your rearrangement, I think these palettes are difficult to rearrange unless you arrange by color scheme (as you did). I don't like monochromatic palettes. I respecting Temptalia's color stories even more now that I think about how she combined the colors and finishes. I think I will actually keep the palettes the way they are arranged, and challenge myself to create different looks.
Oh Mel, I also rearranged my ND palettes to get more inspiration. It should not be meant as an offense to the creator since you do not talk trash about the actual product. I like your layout also a lot better than the original.
So bizarre to me when people take it as disrespect because they're MAGNETIC, and palettes like ND have holes in the back to make removal easier! The creator designed them to be depotted/rearranged!
I rearrange my ND palettes also. That's a big reason I got them! But I must admit, even though my arrangements work better for my everyday use, hers look more artistic and inspiring!
I like your arrangement so much better! I didn’t buy any because I didn’t like the blues and greens, but I totally would have purchased that pink palette you created
I love the 3rd palette arrangement (the greens). For some reason it reminds of the phases of the moon! Also, love seeing your views of color. Stay safe💚💙💛🙏🕊
Mel, this took a lot of work and I appreciate it. I love how you rearranged them. You are so talented, God bless you and keep you safe, healthy and happy.🙏🏽🤗✌🏽
This was the first thing I did after I filmed my video ROFL THEN put them back because I figured people where going to ask for looks and put them all back in LOL BUT EVENTUALLY I'll be putting them back into my own SG collection for the way I personally want them. You have a lot of expertise in doing this so this was super helpful for people :D love you!
Mel Girl I pray one day you have your own makeup brand I absolutely just love your artistry about makeup & how you can put colors together with eyeshadow that you wouldn’t think go good together but they look fabulous I really wanna try this now great ideas to write names down so you can put them back together if wonted
I don't do this a lot but I loved watching you and your creative process! I love the way you organized them and the first one reminds me of an updated ABH Modern Renaissance. I'm so glad you shared this thank you!
I love what you did. Looks less intimidating when you look at how you have them arranged. Well done you brave girl. Tons of love and Blessings. XOXOXOXOXOX
Hello Mel! I love the way you arranged these shadows! I just received mine today and had to start playing with all these wonderful colors immediately! They are AMAZING!!! Wishing you much peace and sending you and your family love!🙏🏻💗💐🌟✨💫
I'm waiting for mine to arrive, but I really like how you rearranged the palettes. Your arrangements make sense. i'd rather pick up a 'green' palette than have to pull out all three when I know I want to do a green look. I'm looking forward to trying this with mine when they get here. I love Sydney Grace eyeshadows.
My rant with these palettes and why I didn't get them is that the color stories are all mixed up. Had she released the palettes by color story like you rearranged them, I would have gotten the green the minute it dropped out and maybe the more neutral one... I hated that for me each palette had less than half shades that I wanted.
I have to say for the price point, I bought all 3 palettes. With the coupon from Mel and free shipping. Where else will you find 3 gorgeous palettes of this quality and pigmentation for $89?
Mel , I really like what you did here. My three pallets are on their way to me right now. As soon as I decided to order, I was sure I would depot them and put them into a magnetic pallet. Two empty pallets with 18 pans each arrived today. I took screenshots of each shade on Temptalias website and devided them into color groups ( like so many of you) One pallet is going to be greens and blues and the other reds/pinks / purples . The screenshots allowed me to play around beforehand , so I have a color scheme ready when the pallets finally arrive. This way I don’t have to put tiny labels into the magnetic pallets ,but know exactly where which shade is placed.
I bought Natasha Denona’s Metropolis and never used it until I depotted and rearranged the shades. A lot of them seem similar so seeing them directly next to each other really helps see the nuances in each individual shade instead of just looking at a palette and going, “oh, these are eight identical blues.” Color order and sorting by color families helps me recognize tones and differences that helps me do my makeup way more easily, and that always factors into the palettes I purchase. It’s always a bit disheartening when some people say that needing or preferring color order and separation just means you’re not creative or visual enough- I’m in the same boat with your statement of “I have no problem with bringing out all of these palettes to do one look, but I will get more use out of them *this* way.” I really love how you rearranged these! The blue palette especially is so beautiful.
I must admit, I am a huge Sydney Grace fan and actually passed on this collection. But, after seeing your transformation, I'm hooked!! Pulleeeease consider doing eye looks with the color combos, Mel!
I love the packaging of the palettes, but I want my favorite color story (Quintessence) in my favorite palette packaging (the one with the dog, moon, and ocean). So, I'm planning to use sticker tabs and write the names of all of them in the back and put all the Quintessence shades in that palette. Then, I'm going to fill the other two palettes with a mix of Temptalia's shades and my other favorite Sydney Grace shadows. At least if I put names on them I can feel secure that I can always put them back as they originally were.
Congratulations! I know how hard this must have been for you, and I imagine it took a lot of strength. From experience, it helps when you put them back in the right order and see them there and your brain realises that you 'can fix it'. It makes it easier to take out individual shadows if you need them.
Omg Mel! Now I can see these palettes working for me! Before I could not, although I found the colors lovely it just seemed like "too much"! Thank you so much for sharing! I have a lot of respect for the work Christine does on her site and I wanted to support this launch, now I can!😘
This is a lovely idea and a fantastic execution Mel. This would make it easier for novices like me to reach for a palette more often. You look Gorgeous as usual. You and your family are in our prayers.
Hi Mel as you said no disrespect to the brand and collab but I love what you did..it's so much easier to grab one and do a look without going through the original color scheme trying to figure out which way to go. For someone doing makeup a long time..no problem and the original pushes you to mix up different colors and experiment go out of your comfort zone but because I'm always rushing to get out the door..what you did works for me. Don't think I'll be buying all three
Love the arrangements you made, they give an all new look to the collection! I think this is why they made them magnetic, this way, everyone can play in their own personal way. It’s just fun! 🤓
One of the reasons I'm super excited about getting the bundle is being able to rearrange the shades. I'm so glad you made a video of this, Mel. I love Christine's entire thought process behind all three palettes. Her vision is truly unique and personal (it was a tribute to her loss of a beloved pet! People should take that more into consideration before making nasty comments about the color stories--I know I've read too many of those) but also refreshingly inclusive and considerate of true makeup lovers who prefer dark, bold colors because they flatter their skintone more. The backlash actually reminds me of light-skinned women complaining about the ABH Jackie Aina palette last time and how the shades were too dark for them smh I urge everyone to go to Temptalia's blog and read her entry on the creation of these palettes so they'll have a better appreciation for the artistic vision behind them (Christine and her husband actually designed the triptych artwork!). That said, I'm a fan of matte and transition shades but I do own a lot of those already so I'm not complaining. I love and respect the vision but I'm also thrilled to make my own interpretations of Quintessence, On The Horizon and Radiant Reflection. Your setting an example for many makeup enthusiasts out there is much appreciated. Thank you and I wish you feel better, Mel (whatever it is that you said you were going through) 🤎 P. S. I apologize for leaving a long comment, I'm just passionate about this collab so much and what it stands for. As a woman of color, it's not all the time that I feel considered 😭🤘
This was so interesting and fun to watch! I plan on getting the on the horizon palette but never wear blues so I may buy some brown singles and switch out those blues to compliment my style better. 💕
Early squad 🥰 Hello Mel ❤ I'm so excited to watch the vid, rearranging palettes is also something I *never* do haha, even the thought gives me anxiety! 🤣 But I love seeing how creative ppl can be and create stunning color stories that way 😍 I'm sure you'll do it perfectly as well with your mua artist eye 🥰 Sending lots of love! X
I’ve never rearranged a palette, but I LOVE what you did. I only bought two of the palettes, and now I’m thinking hard about rearranging them, maybe even with my SG singles.
Thank you!! I think I have 3 , maybe just 2 but I have done videos on my tattoos ❤️ I believe my name was different for the first one so just search Puffins Wife Tattoo story and it should come up ❤️
miss you all the time my favor forever by the way I am 65 but i still love your video even you are not with anymore but your beautiful soul you are such an angel fly around all the people they love you
Great idea about moving them around Mel! I had all three palettes out to pick out 1 or two out of each palette to make one look. I did something similar to you but used the gold and heart dog in the green palette instead. Totally agree with u about mielkey way, used that in the blue version and purpley shades
Wow!!!! Mel you’re amazing in so many ways. Thanks for doing this and sharing - I am now excited to get these I just ordered them using your link & code. 😘👌🏼💖 Stunning!!!
That's super fun! I've only just barely played with them so far. I like switching around my loose collection, but I haven't tinkered with my palettes yet.
Hey Mel 💖💜🦋 Oh my gosh! I’m freaking out that you did this 😂 I also have a hard time depotting. You did an amazing job though!!! It makes me want them now.
I actually bought two of the palettes with the aim of depotting them and putting into a magnetic palette. 🙃 I do it with most of the palettes I own. I love creating my own colour stories, it's so much fun. But I sure can appreciate the original version as well. ☺️👍
Hello Mel, Sorry to hear your going through something. I hope it gets better soon. As for me I’m ok. I have to say at first I didn’t think that was a good idea to move the eyeshadow pans around. But when I seen the end result. I was amazed. Everything fit so well. Thanks so much Mel. You are always a sweetie pie. 🥰😘🙏
I’m really amazed how beautiful was the 3 results, Mel you should be working in the creative department in a High end brand. Your creativity is amazing. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
This has convinced me to buy them. I honestly felt overwhelmed with the original color story. They are absolutely beautiful palette art and I love the colors but I couldn’t mentally figure out how to use them.
This is my cup of tea all the way. That’s why I don’t buy palettes and when I do, depot immediately. I prefer to create my own color stories. I ordered all 3 with the intention to put labels on them and rearrange and/or swap out shades altogether from my singles collection 😎
Thanks for the demo. I was thinking about doing this to my palettes. I'm worried about mixing them up and regretting it later. I depotted a bunch of my Colour Pop palettes. It allowed me to pull out the duplicate shades. What I was left with made much more sense to me. But, SG is a lot more expensive. Plus I like the palettes. When I use them for a look I do pull all 3 out. There's too much choice sometimes. Not sure about depotting them.
I haven’t ordered these yet, but they are still on my list. The only palette I cared to have the deep version sold out first! I love your rearrangement!!
These combos make me much happier. Like I'd see the other 3 originally and be like I like that colour... and that colour... oh but all together it looked unappealing to my eyes and how my brain works. Your combos are more my style
Good Morning Mel! 🌞 Personally I like your arrangements much better. They make more color sense to me and would make it much easier to use the colors. No disrespect to the creator, but the original configuration was too chaotic for me. Thank you for doing this! Have a wonderful weekend! Lots of Hugs 🤗 to you and to your Mom 🤗❤️
I love when people rearrange! I'm all about trying to find the right presentation that inspires each person the most. I LOVE seeing how others interpret the stories, whatever that may mean. Thanks for sharing, Mel!
Can’t wait to get mine and do this! They are beautiful! You did a phenomenal job! 💕
I’m glad you liked it ❤️ and congrats again! Xoxoxo
I’m such a dope and wrote my last comment not seeing that I was writing my original comment under you Temptalia lol
You're a brave woman! I cannot even think about depotting and moving pans around in palettes....I can't bear the thought of the name not matching the shade 😅😅
This resonates with me so much! Names and shades gotta match for me or I get so stressed 😂
This is what my plan has been since I bought them. Everytime I saw them, I kept wishing like colors were with like colors. But, I prob wouldn’t have bought them all had they been arranged like this. So, I def think it was smart business wise to make them like they did.
lol! I am going to have to figure out a way to get them labeled on the palette 🤣❤️
Hard #same!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Noooo I can’t rearrange my palettes! I have to have the shadows match the names or I won’t reach for the palette. It bothers me that much 😅
Mel, your arrangement of these palettes are just stunning!
Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
Ooh got some Divine Rose vibes from that first creation.
This whole collection is honestly good value for some SG shadows! July can’t come soon enough.
DR I was the first thing I thought of too! 🥰
Not gonna lie, if the palettes were arranged this way or similarly, I would have bought them! As it is...🤷🏽♀️ thank you for this cool video!!!
Lauren Mae beauty definitely has gotten me into moving shadows around. It got to the point I had so many palettes, I couldn't never really use them all enough. But theres all kinds of inspiration in creating my own version of a new thing. Very cool
Lauren is amazing 🙌🏻❤️
Is it bad I like your arrangement better? The palettes all looked so similar to me before
No. I don’t think it’s bad. I had people rearrange my palette as well. I think it’s helpful to see it differently. ❤️❤️❤️
After watching this video, Mel, I’m even more convinced you were born to be in the makeup space/beauty industry😍Such creativity 💕
Your arrangement is so much better, you and actually made the palettes appealing.
I love rearranging palettes! I’m constantly rearranging and combining my colourpop 9 pan palettes
Are they magnetic?!
This made a lot more sense to me. I often want to depot my palettes and rearrange in graduating colour order. Makes more sense in my own brain.
I just received my 3 light palettes yesterday. They are so beautiful! I love your arrangement better, it makes way more sense to me😊
After watching your rearrangement, I think these palettes are difficult to rearrange unless you arrange by color scheme (as you did). I don't like monochromatic palettes. I respecting Temptalia's color stories even more now that I think about how she combined the colors and finishes. I think I will actually keep the palettes the way they are arranged, and challenge myself to create different looks.
I love that you showed how to depot eyeshadow without ruining the eyeshadow. I think you did a fantastic arrangement those colors are very pretty.
One thing I love about ND is she clearly means to allow people to move things around.
I rearrange my ND palettes also. That's a big reason I got them! But I must admit, even though my arrangements work better for my everyday use, hers look more artistic and inspiring!
I like your arrangement so much better! I didn’t buy any because I didn’t like the blues and greens, but I totally would have purchased that pink palette you created
i wish i could buy just the green one 💚💚💚
Missing your pure light. ❤️
Mel Girl I pray one day you have your own makeup brand I absolutely just love your artistry about makeup & how you can put colors together with eyeshadow that you wouldn’t think go good together but they look fabulous I really wanna try this now great ideas to write names down so you can put them back together if wonted
I wasn't interested in them before but seeing you're presentation of the shades I really want them all! Thank you!
I'm thinking about putting all 36 shades into 1 big pallett but this packaging might be my favorite ever.
NOW I want all three palettes. Genius rearrangement.
XOXOXOXOXOX
Xoxoxo!!! ❤️🥰❤️🥰❤️
That green palette is speaking 💚. All are beautiful. I like how you moved the shades around.
The way you arranged the greens...I'm in love 🥰 and I NEED it now! Happy weekend Mel!😊Besos💋💋
Oh my gosh!! Makes them look like colorful PM Palettes! Makes me want all 3! You did such a amazing Job moving the colors around!!💜
I'm looking forward to trying this with mine when they get here. I love Sydney Grace eyeshadows.
I’m so glad this is still up. I was struggling with how to put it together then I remembered this video.
Miss you Mel❤
My rant with these palettes and why I didn't get them is that the color stories are all mixed up. Had she released the palettes by color story like you rearranged them, I would have gotten the green the minute it dropped out and maybe the more neutral one... I hated that for me each palette had less than half shades that I wanted.
Completely agree. I’m trying to be more mindful about purchases and I don’t want to buy what I won’t use.
Same same same.
I have to say for the price point, I bought all 3 palettes. With the coupon from Mel and free shipping. Where else will you find 3 gorgeous palettes of this quality and pigmentation for $89?
@@runninghorses1773 You are the one who actually just explained to me why I may “need” these. Thank you? 😉🤗
I can’t agree more! The first and second palettes here, I would purchase both. I’m hesitant to get all three to get the shades I want. We’ll see.
Mel , I really like what you did here. My three pallets are on their way to me right now. As soon as I decided to order, I was sure I would depot them and put them into a magnetic pallet. Two empty pallets with 18 pans each arrived today. I took screenshots of each shade on Temptalias website and devided them into color groups ( like so many of you)
One pallet is going to be greens and blues and the other reds/pinks / purples .
It’s always a bit disheartening when some people say that needing or preferring color order and separation just means you’re not creative or visual enough- I’m in the same boat with your statement of “I have no problem with bringing out all of these palettes to do one look, but I will get more use out of them *this* way.”
I really love how you rearranged these!
WOW gotta say really love the way you rearranged your pallets!! They look gorgeous and definitely more wearable!!! 👏💗
This is stunning! I'm planning on rearranging mine after I've used them a bit and know what I reach for. Thanks for the inspiration!! ☺️
I loved the way you rearranged the pallets; it made me want all three and to do the same. They were much more appealing rearranged.
The backlash actually reminds me of light-skinned women complaining about the ABH Jackie Aina palette last time and how the shades were too dark for them smh
I urge everyone to go to Temptalia's blog and read her entry on the creation of these palettes so they'll have a better appreciation for the artistic vision behind them (Christine and her husband actually designed the triptych artwork!).
Thank you and I wish you feel better, Mel (whatever it is that you said you were going through) 🤎
I love!!! I might just copy your arrangement when mine come in!
OMG!! You did a beautiful job! Wish they had arranged them just like you did! I would get these in a heartbeat!! 😍😍WOW! ❤️❤️❤️
Omg! You make me want to buy all the palettes just to arrange them the way you did 😍 LOVE
Mel that was amazing, i wasn't interested in these palettes but now i am 😍 palette 1 was my fave x
I’m glad you did this! It’s something I do from time to time because my “eye” needs a different arrangement sometimes.
Xoxox!! 😘😘😘
I’ve never rearranged a palette, but I LOVE what you did. I only bought two of the palettes, and now I’m thinking hard about rearranging them, maybe even with my SG singles.
I would love to see a tattoo tour one day. Your tattoos are so beautiful!!
Thank you!! I think I have 3 , maybe just 2 but I have done videos on my tattoos ❤️ I believe my name was different for the first one so just search Puffins Wife Tattoo story and it should come up ❤️
I miss you so much Mel.
I plan to keep mine in the palettes but I do love your arrangement choices here.
miss you all the time my favor forever by the way I am 65 but i still love your video even you are not with anymore but your beautiful soul you are such an angel fly around all the people they love you
That blue palette is amazing. Love.
I didn't order this set - but after this video I immediately bought it!
Great idea about moving them around Mel! I had all three palettes out to pick out 1 or two out of each palette to make one look. I did something similar to you but used the gold and heart dog in the green palette instead. Totally agree with u about mielkey way, used that in the blue version and purpley shades
I’d buy that 1st palette. LOVE!!! 😍😍😍
Love the colors you put together in your personalized pallets. ❤️
Wow!!!! Mel you’re amazing in so many ways.
Thanks for doing this and sharing - I am now excited to get these I just ordered them using your link & code. 😘👌🏼💖
Stunning!!!
That's super fun! I've only just barely played with them so far. I like switching around my loose collection, but I haven't tinkered with my palettes yet.
I love the green one. So pretty arrangements. I can't wait to get mine
You are just so stinking cute! Love you, Mel!
I love this idea! And I love what you did, you are so talented, I love the way it turned out.
Hey Mel 💖💜🦋
Oh my gosh! I’m freaking out that you did this 😂 I also have a hard time depotting. You did an amazing job though!!! It makes me want them now.
You just made these way more appealing to me! Thank you!
these palettes are just soooo beautiful.
Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
I feel the same about the names!!!! I looooove how they turned out
I'm waiting for mine and so excited! I absolutely loveeeee the palettes you created
Mel, I really into rearranging the eye shadows to better suit our individual preferences 🤔 I truly love your eye shadow pallets it's beautiful 💗💜
So fun, I wish all palettes could be easily rearranged. I did it to my ND mid-size palettes.
I love what you did! The first palette looked like a Pat McGrath to me!
I’m really amazed how beautiful was the 3 results, Mel you should be working in the creative department in a High end brand. Your creativity is amazing. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I love how you arranged them!! I’m super tempted to do the same!!
You did great job!! I like this more than in the original way 😍😍
I love Mel's version much more than original one
Thanks for the demo. I was thinking about doing this to my palettes. I'm worried about mixing them up and regretting it later. I depotted a bunch of my Colour Pop palettes. It allowed me to pull out the duplicate shades. What I was left with made much more sense to me.
But, SG is a lot more expensive. Plus I like the palettes. When I use them for a look I do pull all 3 out. There's too much choice sometimes. Not sure about depotting them.
I loved the rearranging you did. I’ve got them and thought about rearranging them too!!
Beautiful job love the colors you put together ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I would pick up that green palette in a hot minute! Great job!
I take it if these palettes are worth rearranging, that they must be ‘Mel Thompson approved’. 🤟🏻
Now that you've rearranged the 3, I WANT TO buy them all!
The second one you did reminds me of the moon over the ocean 🌊💜💜💜
Please swatch your rearranged palettes on IG. 😁
Your rearrangement is incredible!!! Wow. I might copy it exactly.
Good Morning Mel! 🌞
Personally I like your arrangements much better. They make more color sense to me and would make it much easier to use the colors.
No disrespect to the creator, but the original configuration was too chaotic for me.
Thank you for doing this!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Lots of Hugs 🤗 to you and to your Mom 🤗❤️
