Here's my *Defenders Season 1* and Season 2 video. They're getting rid of some things so it sets up some easy Kingpin-Slam Dunks for Season 2. They'll build a new arc starting with each show's next season. Phase 2 starting soon! Posting new *The Flash Season 4* footage next :)
danny has the mentality of a 8 year old kid playing with crayons. he doesn't deserve a second season. he should be the sidekick to luke cage and nothing more.
End of Season 2, He'll probably have them during Defenders Season 2, when ever that ends up dropping. He's already wearing the comic book costume minus the head piece.
I really liked it, but I have complaints: -The Black Sky was a let down (although it was an improvement for Elektra's character, I liked her better than DD season2). Like, it's just someone who is good at fighting? I thought there would be more to it than that, something like a mystical weapon of mass destruction. -The Hand just felt... Smaller. Less dangerous. Where did all the ninjas go? And what was up with that Japanese guy. When Stick said he was the one controlling Nobu and he was a real piece of shit, I kinda expected the guy to be more menacing/sadistic and more powerful than Nobu. Instead he was the most forgettable. -They wrote off the Chaste. WTF? That guy Stick talked to in season 1 of DD, who everyone said was Stone, that never got paid off. How disappointing. -Madam Gao's power is pushing things. No one else does this and it's never explained. No other members of the Hand have any sort of powers. Just Gao. Just pushing things. WTF -Sigourney Weaver needed more to do, more backstory. More badassness. What she did have, she killed it, she was great. And her getting killed off, not a problem for me. I just feel like she could have done more. Compared to Kingpin or Kilgrave, she's didn't have enough to make her a truly great an unforgettable villain. There was just something missing. -The last episode and the big fight in a dimly lit cave. With dragon bones that are holding up the city or some shit? I never really understood what the hell was going on with that. I know what they needed the bones for. I just didn't get how the city was in danger. It didn't make sense. -Also, that earthquake in the beginning of the season is never explained. Unless I missed something. They never said why the Hand caused it and for what purpose. -Iron Fist sitting on the rooftop at the end would have been 100x better if he had finally put on the mask. That's all I can think of for now. Like I said, I really liked it. I liked seeing these characters come together. Their interactions with each other were exactly what I was hoping for. The fights were good, a lot better for Iron Fist. They made him slightly more tolerable (and I say that as someone who liked his show, but recognized its shortcomings and flaws). But I feel like this could have been better. Maybe 8 episodes weren't enough? I don't know. 13 was too much for the other shows. They need to find the right balance. Still looking forward to all the other Marvel/Netflix stuff in the future. I hope they can keep improving.
Charlie, Emergency Awesome has became my Go-To resource for all my comic book TV and movies!! I never read comics (much) as a kid, but was a HUGE cartoon watcher in the 80's and 90's. The way you can bring people "like me" up to speed with those who have read all the comics is, well, awesome!
No, the producers explained that the 5 fingers of the hand are dead. The Hand won't come back for a long time, but they only killed the leaders, the organization still exists.
Kalim Grayson I hope she's alive such an interesting character , reports say the actor doesn't know if she's coming back if she wants her to. She has to tho she can't just leave like that u agree

Like I said in the video, it's about 4 episodes of story stretched out into 8 episodes. The actors were fantastic, they just need to work on more story.
Emergency Awesome Agreed, I love the characters interaction especially between Luke Cage and Danny. Yeah, they need to work on the story better in the future seasons.
Pacing seems to be the primary issue with the Netflix MCU. Should that be corrected, then we can truly witness some of the best television in recent years. Daredevil needs a full season of 13 episodes (cause he's the best) Jessica Jones needs 6 episodes (God the first season was so filler-y) Iron Fist and Luke Cage need to get one TV show (Heroes for Hire) there simply isn't enough to either character on their own. Plus these two seem to be the more upbeat of the Defenders so, we can expect some comedy.
The only problem I had with this series is alexandra, everytime she was on screen I hoped she would beat the defenders up. Sadly it never happened, I was so dissapointed when she was killed off because we never got to see what she could do...
It was pretty good but too much focus on side characters. Also the villains weren't that great, I knew it would happen when they hired Sigourney. As great of an actress as she is, her and Gao won't look good throwing 360 roundhouse kicks to The Defenders. I want them to get back to someone who is a PHYSICAL threat, like Fisk vs. DD.
Arianny'sFartBox I thought she was a bad pick for the role, but of course it had to be a white person in charge of this ancient Asian criminal organization.
The actor of her says she doesn't know what's happening with her she hasn't been told if she's coming or not. but theirs no way they can kill her off like that, she will be back for sure in my opinion idk ab s3 I hope she will but we'll have to see
Charlie Cox steals the screen whenever he is on it. However, my second favorite part of the series was Danny and Luke. Such a great dynamic and just fun to watch. Heros for hire would be awesome. Also super pumped they gearing up to do the "born again"storyline for DD season 3.
Lol seriously. The least imposing member of the hand in Madame Gao, is the scariest. She blinds her followers, talks like she's actually ancient , plus she has powers. Do we even know where her power comes from?
Since Daredevil is my favorite of The Defenders, and this series really had his arc from and center, I was very pleased with it. It wasn't perfect, but overall I am happy.
Is the midland circle building collapsing big? Like MCU event changing big? I know it's not like the battle of New York big but I'm wondering if it will have any sort of impact to the MCU
Tony keeps saying to Spidey to keep stuff liek Vulture to others, and peopel assume he means the Defenders, which is not true, he emans the polcie, FBI, etc
I loved the part where Jessica is holding the weight of the elevator. I think all of them don't know their full potential but I enjoyed it. Not sure what happened to Electra and how Matt got out.
I felt Defenders was really good. Felt like a single, slightly long movie. Daredevil and Jessica had great (non romantic) chemistry, as did Luke and Danny. Would love to see them on screen again.
(SPOILER) I hated that they killed Alexandra so soon. Sigourney is such a grear actress, she should have been the ultimate villain, not Elektra, in my opinion.
Ep.6 easter egg: When Matt is playing the piano, it's the [Defenders] opening theme. And, that high note he hits (the revealing one, which causes Jessica to get up and walk over) is the exact same note/point in the theme when Jessica's silhouette appears. The first time, it's her solo. When the theme repeats [in the opening credits], it's Daredevil's + Jessica's silhouettes together. My favorite easter egg of all time! Major kudos to their music dept.
Charlie id just like to say your awesome dude ive binge watched defenders the other day i thought i was good few holes in the plot tho. You cover a vast majority of things i watch thanks man this is my first comment on your channel to show some appreciation for what you do 👍
He's dead dude. Elektra killed him. They killed 99% of the Chaste too. This was their way of getting rid of those story elements and clearing the path for new villains in Defenders Phase 2.
Carlin Oreste I really don't think he is dead, when he was meditating you see him drinking a small bottle of red liquid, something similar to the substance the hand use for resurrection. Maybe he stole it from them and found away to use it. I think his death was weird, it showed the scene with Stick and Elektra when she was a bit younger, idk it seemed a bit suspicious to me.
Nice overview. I liked most of it. First 4 eps were best. I'd put it up as maybe tied for third place in Netflix Marvel so far. My favorite series so far is DD season 1. My favorite Defenders character is Jessica Jones.
Here's my predictions for Season 2 of Defenders: The first half of the season maybe a couple of episodes that are The Defenders POV of the events from Infinity War and Avengers 4 if they appear in those films they probably might have small roles but pivotal ones to the story. Than in the second half it's the aftermath of both Infinity War and Avengers 4 and it deals with what happened to everyone involved with those films like maybe some of them have PTSD or Nightmares from the events in those 2 films and maybe the Kingpin if he is the villain in season 2 has risen to ultimate power after possibly siding with Thanos in both of the films and he makes all of New York feel his wrath while all the Defenders can't save the city because of what they did in those 2 Avengers films but they must overcome their issues and stop The Kingpin's wrath before things get really worse.
My thoughts on the heroes: 1. Daredevil is the one they seem to do the best with. Story, skill level, character, fighting scenes. I got no complaints, other than the fact his relationship with Foggy and Karen is kinda lame. I didn't like it in the second season of DD either. 2. Luke Cage is the only other one that seems powerful. Or at least shows his powers. The way he reacts when he gets damaged is vastly inconsistent though. His personality seems good, and he did seem to vibe with Iron Fist pretty well. 3. Jessica Jones is pretty much nothing as far as powers. She is purely there for smartass comments, opening locked doors, drinking, and occasionally hitting something kinda hard, or tossing someone into the ceiling. Her strength levels are vastly inconsistent. Her character isn't bad, but it started to get old after awhile. Her around the others made her smartass comments happen way too often which made me get kinda sick of it quicker. She better alone just based on that. I will say she seemed to have the best chemistry with DD. Her and DD are cool, and IF and LC are cool. 4. Iron Fist is definitely better around others. He is like the opposite of Jessica in that aspect. Seemed like his fighting was a bit better too. He is pretty much Daredevil with a different skin on, and worse fighting abilities though. He is just a regular dude who barely used the fist in that way. Maybe he used it 4 times in this show as opposed to the damn 3-4 times in his longer solo show. Show and story as a whole was kinda meh. Not bad but not great either. There was also no scene in particular I thought was very badass. They couldn't even give me one notably cool moment. Sigourney was meh too, and I know she better than that. Elektra was great in DD, and I get why her personality wasn't really there in this show, but them taking that away made her character lame. Plus watching her lay out people she had of business laying out was kinda ridiculous.
Best part about Defenders was the character moments. They're all great characters and seeing them interact is a lot of fun. I also really like smaller characters like Misty Knight, Colleen Wing, and Stick. The Hand felt like such a waste, though. It was really built up over DD Season 2, IF Season 1 and a little bit of DD Season 1, but in the end, none of the five fingers ended up seeming very threatening. They all died in pretty lackluster ways and did little to really appear all that intimidating. I liked Alexandra because she seemed interesting, but even she ended up not being a threat at all. I'm excited to watch more of these characters, but Defenders as a whole didn't meet my expectations.
Raining Potatoes It's not as bad as people make it out to be. I enjoyed it too. Wait, I thought you were talking Iron First the show. He was just fine in The Defenders. The only one that wasn't too serious.
Raining Potatoes I didn't like the 1st 5 of Ironfist but really enjoyed the rest. It's not perfect as none of the Netflix MCU series have been either but I've watched it through twice
Personally Speaking... I was more invested in the characters of the Iron Fist Series, then I was the Story or action scenes. I mostly mean the Meachums, tho. I was far more interested in seeing how far into madness Harold was descending down into, What Ward's Drug addiction was doing to him; and Joy's transition into where she was at by the end of the series... Colleen was great too! And I'm curious about Danny's friend from K'un-Lun. Now I'm curious about Danny being the new DD...
Honestly Jessica was my least favorite, she should be a kick ass character but she can't fight and they made her seem pretty much useless, she showed off her strength only a couple of times.
c ski ...ha ha, Jessica not fighting fits her character in not actually caring and then only partially doing so. I agree that it sucks but, that's the horse she rode in on, lol.
You just did a better job explaining the last 2 episodes of Defenders than the show. I can't wait to see the Kingpin return. I just rewatched Daredevil season 1. I think he's the best villian in marvel
Adam Rowntree exactly. Plus Matt and Jessica got their powers (super senses & flight) from magic chemical splashes but a dinosaur-like beast? Impossible!
When iron fist wasnt so serious and having casual convo, like in the restaurant scene, he was great. I like dany rand, i just dont think everyone enjoys his seriousness, mix with naive passion. Excited new seasons cant come soon enough.
Still hate Jessica Jones, she's annoyed by everything and not interesting. Iron Fist is an idiot, impulsive, not the super martial artist he should be, a man-boy like the way he's described on the show. These two shows should be canceled, leave only Luke Cage and Dare Devil.
Daredevil season 2 kind of reflected Defenders. Start of DD s2 with Kingpin and Punisher as focus - real gritty, hard core but realistic stuff were the best parts, but then they introduced zombie ninjas and it got pretty confusing. DD and Jessica Jones and even Luke Cage esque narratives are the better stuff, whereas Iron Fist and mystic stuff can get a bit out of control. Alexandria was a really good villain, so more development of her as a Kingpin type villain would have been better than going down the Iron Fist mystic route. It was always going to be a tough job to balance four very different characters, I think Jessica's thoughts of wtf is this ninja stuff going on was slightly reflective of us watching it. I actually think if there were more than 8 episodes then they could have used the side characters like Foggy and Jessica's friends a bit more to help out in the background. I liked how the four bumped into each other at the start and when in scenes on their own they had the feel of what their individual show is like e.g. Jessica's scenes felt like an episode of JJ. Bottom line mystic stuff and gritty realism don't really mix, or at least is very difficult to blend.
Yea, Daredevil was the best in both season. The other seasons were good enough, IMO, with Iron Fist maybe having the most problems and I suspect it's like many weak entries into superhero flicks in the past, probably a lot of interference from studios. Anyway, even he was much better in Defenders. I really liked Defenders, actually, and though it also had a couple problems, overall it was very enjoyable and entertaining. It also drove forward several stories and gave time to both the main characters and the secondary ones as well. I sort of wish they would have fleshed out some details and extended it to 10 seasons, but I also understand that Netflix is sort of trailblazing here and feeling things out as they go along. From what I can tell, it seems like many are really clamoring for a decent Punisher series, and they did well by him in the second Daredevil outing. I'm VERY much looking forward to seeing that when it comes out. I hate to say it, but when they insert too much of "social justice" into some of the later shows, that really detracted from the stories and contributed to their weaknesses. That's something that should be worked on. For example, it seems that they could have celebrated the culture, history, and spirit of Harlem without laying on the unnecessary guilt. They started to go the racialism with Defenders, but thankfully that didn't go anywhere.
I was expecting much more out of the Defenders but I did not hate it. Two biggest problems is that the minor characters like Foggy, Karen, and Colleen were underused, insignificant and played no real role in the plot other than pedestrian road cones. Even Claire's dialogue was repetitive and only served to remind the audience what we already know about our heroes. A real shame since I like all the actors and thought they did a great job with poor script writing and weak story telling. The second problem is that they must add more mythology and supernatural elements to Iron Fist. The history, culture and phenomenon that surrounds this character is his appeal and it is almost completely dismissed. I know the budget is low but show Kun-Lun in its hay day and it wouldn't hurt to show a dragon and not just talk about it. And not a European dragon the old style Oriental dragon. Show how the monks train, what trials Danny went through. I know hero shows and movies want to stay grounded in reality to be more edgy but this is comic stories and we love to suspend disbelief in the name of fun. Make Iron Fist fun and mystical.
I could not agree more. Made me squirm way too often. I only watched Luke Cage before this, so I was excited to watch the other series. Not Iron Fist! Couldn't give a crap after seeing him in this.
BludieTV I liked the part where Matt just says "then stop acting like a child" and iron fist gets up off the table and is all like "WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY!?" Lmao nigga chill
After finding out the hand (your sworn enemy as being iron fist) killing your parents will make you feel some type of way. He also doesnt know how to deal with his emotions
It's not her fault her character was annoying in The Defenders. Same with Foggy's character. Writers made them both whine about Matt wanting to be DD...
Kevin Accetta she annoys me in daredevil too believe me. Everyone likes her and she can do everything perfectly and it just makes me dislike her more haha
I guess I can understand that. I don't particularly like her character either. Would've preferred if she only stayed for the first few episodes of DD S1, but then I found out she's from the comics.
The writing was horrible for this series. Stilted, trite lines hanging awkwardly in the air all over the place. The Hand sound more like spoiled children than supervillains. Even Stick and Gao sounded awful. This was a total disservice to all of the actors. I hope they get a better writing team going forward. Such a disappointment. :-(
I'm wondering if we'll see more of the military in Phase 2. That would allow them to focus more on Cage and Jones in Defenders 2. Kingpin could still kick (and punch) around in the background, but have him slowly rebuild his power base and be the big bad in D3.
Hey Charlie, great job as usual. You fill in the gap in a lot of things, in a lot of ways. Love your work. Quick question...What do you think will happen to all the next seasons of the Marvel series on Netflix now that ABC/Marvel is dissolving their deals with Netflix and doing their own streaming service?
Iron First only seemed better during the fight scenes because the other Defenders were there to take the focus off him. Also he was gagged/KO'd for a decent amount of the series. I want them to do a soft reboot of the character tbh. I get replacing Finn Jones probably isn't realistic, but let's tone down him explaining his origin story every time he meets someone and give him a bit more humour and less seriousness. I'd be totally fine if the tone of S2 Iron First somehow didn't resemble the tone of S1 at all.
Charlie if U see this do u think elektra will be back?, I've seen reports of her actor she doesn't know what's happening w her character what do u think they'll do w elektra
Loved The Defenders season 1. Just finished watching earlier this week. I liked everyone. The banter and pairings worked great. Daredevil with Jessica was great. She definitely gave us some much needed wise-cracking to go with his serious matter-of-fact side. Luke and Danny were good together. The definitely had that pissing-contest going in the beginning which brought a different kind of humor to each of their characters. Dany was also very serious like Matt when trying to explain what the Iron Fist is (as if everyone already knew what he was telling them). It was funny to see him not get that they didn't understand or even care. Definitely looking forward to season 2. The Kingpin would definitely be a good villain for the next season.
I think they need to reduce the count. 10 per season as oppose to 13. Defenders do 6 instead of 8. There was times when I felt the episodes were lagging. It would also be nice if they gave more depth with their villains. All in all a decent start. looking forward to phase 2!
The Hand it like Hydra, AIM, or Atlas. You might get rid of the big and obvious people, but it is in so many places in secret, you will always run into them.
I loved the relationship between Matt and Jessica, not sexual in any way but you can see both care for each other. It's just something really nice and their interactions are really special when they're on screen.
I think they should just drop the individual series of Iron Fist and Luke Cage and go with Heroes for Hire. Finn Jones, in all honesty, is just not the best actor and I couldn't even finish Iron Fist, while Luke Cage, I feel, is just not nearly as interesting as DD or JJ.
was kinda upset at the end. trolls, no i have never read the comics, but these shows made me want to read the comics. yes I have to agree with you Dare Devil was the strongest in this season. Good video Emergency
I loved the defenders Sigourney weaver was awesome!!!!!! All the hand villains where great! I liked the chemistry between all the defenders, loved how they used Danny as the foil! His fight scenes still need some work not as smooth as the rest.
Even though its a punisher question than a defenders question, What arc from punisher max do you think they will adapt, also whats your favorite Punisher Max Storyline?, ive been reading the complete collection and im up to vol 4 and its amazing
Emergency Awesome went on a defender binger....you have me hooked now🎉
yo I love this show
also thx for the flash ring
awesome! 🖐
I don't have plans to make any live action Death Note videos.
Danny:"There was a dragon"
Luke:*laughs*
Luke:"No there wasn't"
👍🐉
hah ha ha funny man becouse he said it hah ha
Weirdly, i imagined that conversation between Daenerys and Luke 😐
Rados Kovac Well in that case "let's get coffee, Danny"said Luke
danny has the mentality of a 8 year old kid playing with crayons. he doesn't deserve a second season. he should be the sidekick to luke cage and nothing more.
Elektra may be the Black Sky, but Luke Cage is the Black's Guy
Deathmonkee coffee guy**

How long do you think they'll take to give Iron Fist the double glowing fist power? Like how many seasons?
End of Season 2, He'll probably have them during Defenders Season 2, when ever that ends up dropping. He's already wearing the comic book costume minus the head piece.
Seriously. At this point I hope he learns it off-screen so we don't have to wait through another season to finally see it.
he hasn't gone through puberty yet.
that jump suit from the end of defenders is not his comic costume. if thats the closest were going to get im going to be very upset.
One glowing fist for each season.
I really liked it, but I have complaints:

I agree with everything you said they were a few let downs which is a shame. It was good overall but could've been so much better
Thank you!! You listed my exact thoughts!

Since Electra and Mathew lived so did Madame Gao?
No, the producers explained that the 5 fingers of the hand are dead. The Hand won't come back for a long time, but they only killed the leaders, the organization still exists.
Kalim Grayson I hope she's alive such an interesting character , reports say the actor doesn't know if she's coming back if she wants her to. She has to tho she can't just leave like that u agree
I've honestly had enough of the hand and glad their gone.
Oh I see, maybe that weird ex-friend of Iron Fist will come back with the remnants of the hand.
Of course she lived! They are not going to have her exit dramatically into the shadow only to have her die off-screen.
Iron Fist needs more development as a charcter overall ngl. We need that suit as well asap. Daredevil has been great as always.
Was a decent season, would prefer it if their solo shows were 8 episodes & the defenders being 13 episodes. I can't wait for Agents of SHIELD & Defenders to crossover (if they do crossover) and hopefully it happens before Infinity War!
RajveerN1 definitely more likely than crossing over with the movies. Ghost rider and Punisher tho
RajveerN1 SHIELD wouldn't work. Too flashy.
Mighty Havoc
Yeah will be great!
Bob Pickleson
What do you mean??
I really don't think it will happen! But it could since the avengers exist in both.
GrenadR Yep, both in the same universe & they've done promotional photos.
I can see AoS being in the movies so if we get defenders to crossover with AoS, then it will be good news!
Love your videos Charlie, hands down my favorite channel on RUclips.
Keep up the good work man, and as always I'll see you tonight!
thanks man! 🖐
Daredevil didn't even get a hug before he 'died'
Don't forget, 3/4 of them effectively got powers from the same company. There could be a big story there.
Maahes0 thats what I expected to see in defenders really
Maahes0 wait what do u mean
In Jessica Jones we see that the company who made the chemicals that blinded Matt is the same as the one that JJ's dad hit on the road and gave her powers, and it is the same company that was behind the Seagate experiments. It is likely that for example the truck Jessica's family collided with was on the way to Seagate as her family was driving from NY to Florida.
The same company (IGH i think?) owned the chemical barrels that sprayed in Matt's eyes, the truck that Jessica's car crashed into and the bath used to harden Luke's skin.

My only two problems with the show that come to mind are how Sowande and Murakami were able to hurt Luke Cage, and why Bakuto was such a better fighter in this than in Iron Fist. Why could he walk through bullet shots without blinking? XP
Does anyone else find The Defenders a little bit underwhelming but still good?

Boogie Woogie Ha lol never noticed that before that's literally hilarious thank you for that 😂😂😂
I thought Elektra killed it... should we expect to see her in season DD season 3?

You can't really do Daredevil without doing Bullseye killing Electra and Kingpin, its is THE DAREDEVIL STORY.
derrick watson Elektra already died on the rooftop in S2 (in the comics, Bullseye killed her while they were on the rooftop)
Her accent is cringeworthy and her acting is mediocre. how did she kill it? Other than being part of the whole shitwhole experience?
im_batgirl lmao... this isn't a movie
Charlie Cox steals the screen whenever he is on it. However, my second favorite part of the series was Danny and Luke. Such a great dynamic and just fun to watch. Heros for hire would be awesome. Also super pumped they gearing up to do the "born again"storyline for DD season 3.
I really hope to see Madam Gao come back in the future. She is one of my favorite characters on the Netflix shows. Who's with me?
Everett H-Top Madame Gao is by far one of my favorite villains. I just love how such a small old lady can be such a badass.
Madam Gao awesome character !
Lol seriously. The least imposing member of the hand in Madame Gao, is the scariest. She blinds her followers, talks like she's actually ancient , plus she has powers. Do we even know where her power comes from?
she should be the leader of the Hand. outside of kingpin the best villian is gao.
Everett H-Top She's dead though
Since Daredevil is my favorite of The Defenders, and this series really had his arc from and center, I was very pleased with it. It wasn't perfect, but overall I am happy.
Is the midland circle building collapsing big? Like MCU event changing big? I know it's not like the battle of New York big but I'm wondering if it will have any sort of impact to the MCU
nope. The movie people don't really keep up with what the tv people are doing.
Emergency Awesome that's a shame, thanks for the response!
Emergency Awesome Tony Stark does! He mentioned the Defenders in Homecoming.
Bob Pickleson When did he mention them?
Tony keeps saying to Spidey to keep stuff liek Vulture to others, and peopel assume he means the Defenders, which is not true, he emans the polcie, FBI, etc
For whatever its worth im gald I came here to this channel for this very moment ;) great review Charlie ;)
Can't wait for more defenders in the future and punisher later this year!
defenders was one of my favorite series i've watched. i loved the relationship between them and that they now are like family to each other.
Thanks for "awesome" videos. Looking forward for more on Infinity War
🔥🔥🔥🔥👍
I've been waiting for this review for the longest thanks Charlie ! 👍🤛
Do you think we will see a new team ? like Hell Cat , Paladin , Sleepwalker and Dark Hawk or Night Hawk
New characters eventually, but the defenders will always be those same 4 characters.
5:11 Lmao luke cage's face 😂
Still wondering if iron fist is gonna get his suit
Charlie id just like to say your awesome dude ive binge watched defenders the other day i thought i was good few holes in the plot tho. You cover a vast majority of things i watch thanks man this is my first comment on your channel to show some appreciation for what you do 👍
Will stick come back?
He's dead dude. Elektra killed him. They killed 99% of the Chaste too. This was their way of getting rid of those story elements and clearing the path for new villains in Defenders Phase 2.
Kalim Grayson I know he's dead he's a cool character
What about stone? The guy stick was talking to in season 1.
John n Noelia same
Nice overview. I liked most of it. First 4 eps were best. I'd put it up as maybe tied for third place in Netflix Marvel so far. My favorite series so far is DD season 1. My favorite Defenders character is Jessica Jones.
Luke Cage is gonna drink a lot more coffee
"Im not hugging you" Best one liner lol
I didn't mind the series. I definitely want to see more of Jessica Jones and daredevil, I thought their on screen stuff was great.
who else was hoping that Danny would put on the Daredevil black suit?
Here's my predictions for Season 2 of Defenders:
The first half of the season maybe a couple of episodes that are The Defenders POV of the events from Infinity War and Avengers 4 if they appear in those films they probably might have small roles but pivotal ones to the story.
Than in the second half it's the aftermath of both Infinity War and Avengers 4 and it deals with what happened to everyone involved with those films like maybe some of them have PTSD or Nightmares from the events in those 2 films and maybe the Kingpin if he is the villain in season 2 has risen to ultimate power after possibly siding with Thanos in both of the films and he makes all of New York feel his wrath while all the Defenders can't save the city because of what they did in those 2 Avengers films but they must overcome their issues and stop The Kingpin's wrath before things get really worse.
its my third ranked series for marvel netflix series after daredevil and jessica jones
Oui
100% agree
Have to agree, LC and IF were just extremely lackluster to me
same here dont know why people are complaining about it this is way better than iron fist and luke cage
My thoughts on the heroes:
Defenders was pretty good
Best part about Defenders was the character moments.
I liked it. I know a lot of people didn't but I did.
I can’t believe everyone has forgotten about Stone. We haven’t seen him since season 1 ep 7 of Daredevil.
Daredevil and Friends
What about big muscle guy that stick talked to in daredevil season 1 episode 7???
I'm the only one who like iron fist (please don't hate it's my opinion)
No, I like him too
Raining Potatoes It's not as bad as people make it out to be. I enjoyed it too.
Wait, I thought you were talking Iron First the show. He was just fine in The Defenders. The only one that wasn't too serious.
Madam Gao really helped show how he is still a child inside. Her talking about how he is thinking actually truly redeems the character.
Raining Potatoes I didn't like the 1st 5 of Ironfist but really enjoyed the rest. It's not perfect as none of the Netflix MCU series have been either but I've watched it through twice
Raining Potatoes you are entitled to your opinion! No judgement. 👍🏽
Amazing. Great review. Loved Jessica. Not a big fan of what they did with Elektra, but there was a glimmer of hope in the end.
Awesome tv show , really enjoy it .
I hope kingpin is the next big bad. With a grounded version of bullseye as his hitman......still wish they didn't kill off cottonmouth.....
Randy Summers bullseye would be awesome
Randy Summers or purple man
Randy Summers I KNOW Cottonmouth was starting to become such a great villain.
Should season 2 be only 8 episodes? Should they introduce new characters in the solo series that then will become Defenders in season 2?
Honestly Jessica was my least favorite, she should be a kick ass character but she can't fight and they made her seem pretty much useless, she showed off her strength only a couple of times.
c ski ...ha ha, Jessica not fighting fits her character in not actually caring and then only partially doing so.
I agree that it sucks but, that's the horse she rode in on, lol.
they did not do Jessica any favors
They should give Jessica full flight like she has in the comic it's would make her way more useful in a fight .
The elevator scene was cool
A lot more useful than Danny, who was literally a liability and annoying...
Best line in The Defenders; "you're the dumbest Iron Fist yet"
You just did a better job explaining the last 2 episodes of Defenders than the show. I can't wait to see the Kingpin return. I just rewatched Daredevil season 1. I think he's the best villian in marvel
I dont get why no one believes there was a dragonn, eve though theres aliens and people with powers and a literal GOD (thor)
I really liked it, I have to be honest, i wasnt disappointed until you pointed out the flaws, then I was like hey that was lame lol
Really good analysis!
thanks! 🖐
Still hate Jessica Jones, she's annoyed by everything and not interesting. Iron Fist is an idiot, impulsive, not the super martial artist he should be, a man-boy like the way he's described on the show. These two shows should be canceled, leave only Luke Cage and Dare Devil.
Sam Corrs and please punisher 🙏 i Love him
Daredevil season 2 kind of reflected Defenders.
Charlie are you going to make a video about the new casting for starfire ? I wanna know your thoughts.
I expected way better, and more than 8 episodes.
What happened to Stone? Last saw Stick talking to him in DD season 1
I know this is a GoT related comment but if the Night King can't speak, he can't say dracarys right?
Just finished it today
Ironfist is by far the worst character he always acts like a child
I could not agree more. Made me squirm way too often. I only watched Luke Cage before this, so I was excited to watch the other series. Not Iron Fist! Couldn't give a crap after seeing him in this.
he was emotionally repressed as a child so its probably all coming out now
BludieTV I liked the part where Matt just says "then stop acting like a child" and iron fist gets up off the table and is all like "WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY!?" Lmao nigga chill
BludieTV uhh that was the point, did you miss that?
After finding out the hand (your sworn enemy as being iron fist) killing your parents will make you feel some type of way. He also doesnt know how to deal with his emotions
Thank for the info also great vids
Am I the only one who can't stand Karen Paige? Annoying actress imo
I hated her ever since she got Ben Urich killed...😒
I agree !
I loved it! It wasn't perfect, but it was incredibly enjoyable. I didn't have any big issues with it at all.
I enjoyed The Defenders.
The dynamic between The Defenders was amazing.
Hey Charlie, great job as usual. You fill in the gap in a lot of things, in a lot of ways. Love your work. Quick question...What do you think will happen to all the next seasons of the Marvel series on Netflix now that ABC/Marvel is dissolving their deals with Netflix and doing their own streaming service?
congrats on 2m subs
Charlie, have you heard the GoT soundtrack released today? That song, "Truth" is amazing!! What's your thoughts on Ramon Djawadi?
Keep on the good work !
No plans for a Season 2! Damnit Marvel!
Can you do a video on daredevil season 3 please?
"Four episode of content that they stretch out into eight episodes". Well put, sir
I loved the relationship between Matt and Jessica, not sexual in any way but you can see both care for each other. It's just something really nice and their interactions are really special when they're on screen.
The fighting and stunt work was excellent this time. So much better than the Iron Fist series. I hope they can hold on to this level of quality.
When is dare devil season 3 coming out?
was kinda upset at the end. trolls, no i have never read the comics, but these shows made me want to read the comics. yes I have to agree with you Dare Devil was the strongest in this season. Good video Emergency
Hey isn't Punisher the last marvel show thats going to be on Netflix since Disney is starting their own streaming service or something?
I loved the defenders Sigourney weaver was awesome!!!!!! All the hand villains where great! I liked the chemistry between all the defenders, loved how they used Danny as the foil! His fight scenes still need some work not as smooth as the rest.
you r really awesome charile. thx for these awesome videos
But did Madame Gao and Elektra survive? We don't have confirmation either way from the end of this series.
Even though its a punisher question than a defenders question, What arc from punisher max do you think they will adapt, also whats your favorite Punisher Max Storyline?, ive been reading the complete collection and im up to vol 4 and its amazing
