17 años tenía. Fui solo pero estaba acompañado por 80.000 personas que disfrutamos de este inolvidable show. Gracias por subirlo y volver a ese 11/12 1987.
Talented musicians and carefully selected words transcend all of the barriers that exist between us. We need more and more of this in 2021, in all endeavors, small and large, as we get the pandemic under control.
Absolutely ... but here is the cheap trick, they are making propaganda of the "world coming together" but at the same time they are locking us in apartments with a laptop !!! Who are we supposed to come together ? On facebook ??? LOL
I love this song too along with the whole album (The Dream Of The Blue Turtles) since it's releasing time; a true masterpiece with a jazzy touch to it. Cheers!
Why does ever concert I see in Brazil or Buenos Aires always have an enormous number of people?? It's like some some Woodstock event in the US. But over there, its like every concert no matter who the artist is. Sting, U2, Lady Gaga, whatever. Half a million people show up. Is this all these people do is go to concerts? Do they just have one arena in the whole country and that's whey everyone goes? Perplexing. Maybe their ticket prices are reasonable, unlike here in the US, where you have to take out a loan just to afford a couple of tickets. These things used to be like $12 when I was a kid in the US.
Keep in mind that this show was back in 1987, times had chanded. This show was in a soccer stadium and was about 70.000 people in the audience, here there's no concerts with "half million people". Back in 1991 one local band called Soda Stereo reached the record of 250.000 in a free concert, but that was an exception. As you mention now with the exchange against dollar and economic crisis shows became much more expensive, as I wrote, times had changed mate. What I can tell you is that audience over here is much more expresive and much more present, that's a fact. Thank you for stopping by.
Yes it was! Was still now one of the greatest and most emotional concerts we had have here in Argentine. That was the first times after Malvinas Islands (Farkland Islands) war, and was a slow process to restore the "natural" state in so many things, even the fact that Sting was british put some people nervous over there, few but anyway It happened. Hope you had enjoyed the video, thanks for the comment and the visit! :)
