I was there too. excellent musicians, excellent concert. I remember that he sang this song at the end of the concert and then he would close with the great acoustic version of "Message in a bottle". He sang all the songs from his second album that had just been released. Stunning, beautiful day.
I remember watching this on TV when I was almost a teenager. I remember being alone in the living room, watching it, and feeling excited and happy. No one else understood how you felt and thought it was crazy. But thanks to stuff like this, I knew I needed to see more of the world, and I'm grateful for all the music that helped me see that there was so much more life than my small town, tiny town. I am glad I did not comply with all those who laughed at me. I love this. Remembering what I was and where I am now.
Annoying for bands like RUSH, when they start singing the melody of the songs louder than the PA. Cool in a way, but obnoxious when you're trying to watch a live video.
My favorite song ever. The fact is that I always loved my son more than my wife. So it was only natural to my son in this prison. But watching those thousands of people jumping up and down to this song….WOW
...... DIOS MIO..... LO MAS IMPRESIONANTE QUE HE VISTO EN MUICHO TIEMPO EN RUclips..... he estado bsucando algo asi durante mucho tiempo este es uno d emis temas favoritos de STING
I was there!! I was just a 17y.o. kid. It was the very first presentation of Sting in Argentina, and also the beginning of the mega concerts of international artists in Buenos Aires.
The Rock City Angel Actually sting was performing in Argentina from as early as 1980 with the police. This is when he developed the huge following that stayed with him when he returned under the banner of being a solo artiste
Wow...this is a great song!! Just great lyrics and what a voice!! Wow..thanks for posting... Sting is just a great artist and look at that crowd...they are with him and loving the moment!! xo
Wow, I have seen many vids of concert audiences from Argentina and always thought they are the best, but never expected to see one from a Sting concert like this. Usually I see metal-rock/hard rock vids with crowds so into it, but this is awesome. I think I want a woman from Argentina...beautiful and fun...lol
We were there that night! It was unforgettable, it had rained all day but it stopped at the appointed time! Argentina is very far away and many artists do not come frecuently but when they do it we enjoy them. Freddy Mercury and Brian May could not believe that in the A$$ of the world we could sing Love of my Life so well. ACDC used the video of this same stadium for the film IRON MAN. ruclips.net/video/xRQnJyP77tY/видео.html That's how we Argentines are.
dream of the blue turtles and nothing like the sun, is some of Stings best work after the police. I was so fortunate to have seen him and Brandford, Kenny Kirkland, Darryl Jones, Janice Pendarvis, Dolette McDonald, back in summer of 1986 Costa Mesa California
How did they do the background vocals? That is Sting's voice in the background singing the counter melody during the chorus. How'd they do that? Was it sampled and played from a keyboard? Great performance from a great band all of whom are jazz musicians who can really play their instruments.
@@jbeleni Thanks for that suggestion. It prompted me to listen to this great clip again. However, the vocal section in the choruses "Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh" are definitely prerecorded. Just don't know how they synced it up like that. I think it's a sample that's played from a keyboard.
Seems like the Argentine audience made a wrong turn on its way to the soccer game. How do thousands of people go badshit crazy spastic for Sting's soft, dull material? This isn't a bad song actually, but it doesn't seem like it would inspire people to go through the ceiling. It's closer to Kenny G. than Street fighting Man. Were they all on drugs?
2:14 is the coolest crowd angle that I've ever seen!! I've rewatched it like 50-times now. The crowd energy combined with the chorus is INSANE!!!
Big respect for that Argentinian crowd... almost moshing to this great Sting song.
I was there!!!!!!! Dec 11 1987 in Buenos Aires, Argentina , I was one of the 60.000 souls singing with this genius. Amazing! unforgetable!!!!!!!
I was there too. excellent musicians, excellent concert. I remember that he sang this song at the end of the concert and then he would close with the great acoustic version of "Message in a bottle". He sang all the songs from his second album that had just been released. Stunning, beautiful day.
The chorus is a stunning piece of music in any language.
Argentina was always very special. Phenomenal reactions from the crowd
that crowd is amazing, the 80's were such a great time, this song is just perfect, great performance

STING NUMBER ONE
Yo también. Que noche genial!
😂😂😂😂como saltaban! me encanta!😂😂ojala hubiera estado ahi...😁
I cannot even imagine the kind of good vibes having a crowd like this reacting to a mellow and catchy song like this
😊

...actuality I dint think many of today’s so called A List rock stars could imagine what it would be like to play to a crowd like that!
Looks biblical

It has to be an amazing feeling to get a reaction like THAT out of a crowd to a song that YOU wrote!
2:14 was soo EPIC!
What a crowd.
What a great chorus! Great song all round too.
the best! watched the concert at a friend's house! mother wouldn't allow me to see him live! that was the best concert! 🎶🎶🎶🎶

Epico! Sting..."El grande"!
Why are there no artists today that can make a crowd feel that way?
10-years later....there are still NONE!!😆
Because there are no artists today, only “acts”.
Whoever has the better quality version of this please post it again cause it was taken down due to some copyright BS thing.

Delmar Brown did The vocales, you see in The video

Those background vocales definitely sound like Sting himself, so I think you must be correct that they were sampled from the album and re-played live.
yo estuve saltando ahi
Sting est le Mâle Alpha
And don't forget Mino Cinelu on percussion, and yes it's Steve Coleman, not Branford. And who is the vocalist?
@myownservant you go that right. They are fucking rocking to one of his greatest songs!!!
born 83 if i was in the business i would sample this his other song were sampled but not this damn that a supries
And this concert was just 5 years after England had defeated Argentina in war
wars are BS hoaxes.
Do not confused... many of the crowd were Uruguayans!!!
+Lucio Etchamendi deja de mandar fruta yorugua!!

+Claudio Martinez Muy buena Homer Simpson... At least they do not asociate us with the nazis as usual with the Argentinians...
Lucio Etchamendi
2.12s. The scene looks almost Biblical!
He's so hot and the music isn't bad either
i think Sting it's much hotter than Brad Pitt❤❤❤ just see it!!
