I love watching the videos of your shop. We had a family owned business for 12 years. It was a “general store of funky stuff”. All three of my daughters grew up helping at the shop after school and during the summers. So many good memories of travel to buying shows for inventory, long hours at Christmas time. Wrapping over 1800 present one Christmas as we always wrapped for free. You will make tons of memories as well. Your children will remember all the hard work and good times and talk about the remember whens. Keep sharing and take good care.

I was thinking that maybe using a C-clamp to bring the wood together and then putting screws underneath - along with wood glue - to help keep your drawer in tact. But then, it may not have worked too well. It's good seeing Josh with his mustache. :) Your children are really sweet - a reflection of their mom and dad. :) So glad they don't mind getting involved with helping you out at the shop, which is looking great!

My first comment is for Josh, I love the mustache! What does your wife think about it?
Here in the states November is no shavember for the guys. So most men grow a beard.
Stephen, young man you keep being awesome! I loved going to work with my dad when I was a kid. Heck I still love working with my dad! I live in Tennessee and we got snow last night! Our first of the season. You can come shovel snow for me anytime 😁
Glad to see Patrick made his journey safely.
Alex, I have a challenge for you. When I was about 9-10 years old I had a model car of the Munster's Mobile. After hours and hours of hard work my mother sold it when we were moving. I'd love to find another one to put together. Please keep your eyes open for me. Sorry about the long waffling 😀

My favorite thing in the new box of things was that old Tube Style Table Radio.
When I was a boy growing up in the 60's you could find those radios for next to nothing

    to transistor radios.

Hi y'all can't wait for the next upload hey I was out searching for treasures and I found me a Westminster German mantel clock at first I couldn't get it to work but I kept playing around with the piece that makes the minutes work I finally got it to where it's been working all through the night holding time sometimes the Chimes work sometimes it don't I don't have a key for it there's a little antique shop around the corner from me I'm hoping he'll come up with one. we can't figure out how old it is it's wood I'm assuming it's brass and it has the Roman numerals on the clock face has a glass cover it has a little stamp on the back inside I can't read it looks like a little clock with some weird writing on it probably German and it says Germany under there..u wouldn't happen to know anything about these type of clocks do you.

The James Black Bowie knife was designed by Bowie and modified by Arkansas blacksmith James Black in Washington, Arkansas in 1830. Bowie chose the modification of his original design and used it in a famous fight. The blacksmith shop is now part of a state park at Old Washington. History is cool. Love the shop. So cool to have a business where your son can be a part of it.

👍👌👏 For me it's always a real pleasure respectively sooo good to see that generations are able to work together (and not only because it wasn't possible to work or even be together with my choleric, irascible, jealous father). Unfortunately it's rather a rare thing nowadays. You have the big opportunity/possibility to pass on your knowledge etc.p.p. and maybe also your business in... let's say 30 years from now?! :-) ;-) That's really great = congratulations for having such a nice family and being a good father and husband.
Also great to see that the shop goes really well and that you are kept very busy every (long) day.
Hope that Josh is able to fix those fantastic old shelves ( it's always nice to see him working for you).
Last but not least: I'm very interested to see what the content of your sons channel will be.
Thanks a lot for making taping editing uploading and sharing.
    Best regards luck and health.
Postscriptum: Only to note: I don't like life feeds QA and I definitely don't watch this kind of stuff any more. In my opinion respectively for my kind of taste it is a waste of time watching (from ⅓ up to ½ or even more) in comparison to (good) edited videos. A lot of viewers think so too although your live feeds are much much better than some from other channels.

      Best regards luck and health.

@@Chr.U.Cas1622 , Well since you asked ever so nicely, my moniquer is simply my one and only true "guilty pleasure" - make up and I was born in 68, thus the two things combined. While I only wear makeup one or two days a week, I have amassed quite a collection. I am intrigued by the colours, textures and new advancements in make up and skin care, but "makeup-skin care lover 68" just didn't have the same ring to it 😉

I homeschooled my children, one up to grade 9, then he went to a private school, but came home gr. 12 to finish his highschool online, so he had time to write produce and perform a whole music album, he is still drawing an income from that work. The other stayed home up to gr 12 and she is finishing at a private school and off to university next year. Stephen could finish his highschool from home and work at the store. Our school system is failing kids, boys especially, because they want to be doing real work age 12-14. Children that age use to go to work and learn a trade, not sit doing paperwork, that was a better system. Seeing you working together is precious. People with family businesses, especially if their children are interested and may take it over one day, need to know their children can accomplish all high school online and hire a tutor if needed. My children have exceeded my expectations on this path.

You should ask those Archeologists to come back and did up your yard, looking for old things, long lost. While they do it, you can dress like Indiana Jones. LOL! Good to see you teaching your kids to have a good work ethic, early in life, and for them to see that hard work creates a paycheck.

So wonderful to see that Stephen was enjoying his time working with his "pop's" at the store! Nowadays teenagers don't want to be around adults let alone their own parents! My hat's off to you & Melissa on raising such wonderful well behaved, considerate children! Enjoyed watching this video with all the variety especially with the archeologists coming in. I was curious how they knew about the store or if they just stumbled upon it! I was hoping that you would have asked them on camera how they came about to showing up! Thanks for taking us along with you on your work day!

Love this video Alex! It's great seeing Stephen working with you and to see Josh there too. It's back to "Normal", whatever that is. LOL I like that beard and mustache on Josh! Here in California it's been called Novembeard, or so I'm told. :-D I didn't know about the link to Prostate Cancer awareness. Thanks for the updates!

another fun video with interesting stuffs happening! favorite part hands down was at the end however, when you got to hug Steven :) so guess it's 'hug your staff day' today lol. Loved it! I think I especially like watching your family interacting with each other because it's such a change from how mine did, we were the family pictured next to 'dysfunctional' in the dictionary. Nice to see how it's 'supposed to be'. :) Thank you for that!!

In all seriousness live streaming the shop is not a bad idea. They do it on street corners and places. I would watch. 👍
