$5,500 seems like a sick price. A shot across the bow, indeed. I was so close to ordering an MX5 but the Sigma looks like it might eat Talaria for lunch, hmm... Reliability will be key, though. Hopefully the electronics are fully sorted since this appears to be using all new components and a different, lesser-used voltage system. I assume aftermarket controllers/tunes will be coming - is there any headroom left in the stock motor/battery for more power (similar to what the Torp TC500 can do) or is this thing pretty fully maxxed from the factory? Looking forward to seeing more for sure!
So as I stated on a other channel reviewing this bike, I am excited for the chance to own one. This price point for the performance is incredible, but I read the stats for suspension travel and was hoping that the 3" of travel for the rear (linkage) would equate to more like 7"-8" in the arm. The size of the Sigma is closer to pit bike size (33" seat height) which is why a 19/16 setup works for this bike. The Ultra is a bigger bike (close to full size with a nearly 36" seat height) more conducive to a 21/18 setup. I've run 19/16 setups on smaller bikes and they were awesome. I would not put a 19/16 setup on a bigger bike like the Ultra because it just begs for 21/18. Ultra riders don't just dislike the 19 front, they tend to not like the 19 rear even more so. 19/19 square setup in just not good for that bike. Could you put a 21/18 setup on the Sigma? The real question is should you on a bike this size (different geo)?
