    When talented musicians get together, you are usually going to end up with great music. However, sometimes those talents come together in a performance so sublime that it is almost of a transcendent quality. Truly magical! I think this is one of those performances!!!

    All these years later... listening to the build... then it finally crescendos into "THINGS WERE DIFFERENT THEN!" Eddie was masterful at nailing these notes in his unique range. His hushed tone, in the beginning, turns into that soaring, anthemic megaphone at the end. I've always loved this song.

    I first heard this song on Sirus radio getting ready for school one day. I completely stopped what I was doing and just sat down, I was completely lost in the song. Out of all of Pearl Jam's slower songs this has to be their best.

    This song is so unexplainably well done.. simple in ways but gets inside of you like a drug.. you just gotta get more.. and more.. my life would't be the same without this song.. one of the many many reasons I love Pearl Jam..

    What a peculiar song for the AOL gig. I mean don't get me wrong.Great song. Just IMO kind of an odd choice. Gotta love it though....

  • @MrJJVedder
    @MrJJVedder 12 лет назад +1

    @Monstruobolo el desarrolló síndrome de túnel del carpo, en la mano obviamente, debido a lo duro q le daba a la bateria, el fue un gran baterista, estoy convencido que Cameron es mejor, pero Abruzzesse tuvo el mérito de estar en la que fue la mejor época de la banda, y lo hizo muy bien; saludos!

    So this song is from the "Ten" time period?

    • @Megamando93
      @Megamando93 9 лет назад +1

      dak2005vn Vs, but there is also a recorded version that was scrapped from Vitalogy. It was considered for both. The version heard on Lost Dogs is the Vs recording.

    • @dak2005vn
      @dak2005vn 9 лет назад

      Thanks. Such a great song, seems it should have been worthy of earning a spot on one of those early albums.

    • @Megamando93
      @Megamando93 9 лет назад

      Agreed, they stated that there were already enough slow songs on Vs, and I never knew why it wasn't placed on Vitalogy.

    It's funny to me how the comments on PJ's lesser known songs are generally full of more substance and pretty critique. Thank you viewers for showing me that a.) There in fact are intelligent people who surf youtube, and b.) You respect music and other peoples' perception of it. Aside from my rant, I'd like to say this song is dynamite. All is different now.

    Estoy de acuerdo contigo en cuanto a abruzzese, además le daba mucho más energía al grupo, Matt me gusta pero no me gusta cuando toca las canciones en vivo que tenían la batería de otro, las cambia mucho y eso no me late.

  • @Kanoff03
    @Kanoff03 12 лет назад

    @Verucarock Creo que Abruzesse tenía el carisma necesario para PJ, pero Matt es sin duda un mejor batero... Aún así, me gusta más Matt en Soundgarden.

    Ah the beating ticking like a bomb.
    After having seen all that they saw.
    Things were different then. All is different now.

    Stone is greatly under appreciated but he is definitely not the brains behind most of their hits. That's eddie, he's the brain behind like 80% of all their song lyrics. Stone is mostly the melody guy. Mike just melts minds
