    Do all these Corrollas need turning to put new shoes on? We bought two sets of shoes that are too big & the factory drums have no wear at all!

    Am working on my 2013 corolla right now..i tried with a bolt on the 2 little wholes for the drum to come and nothing..drum keeps pulling out as i screw the bolts but at some point it stops.drum wont come out and feels hard to pull..i tried hit it with a hammer and they just wont pop out...any help..thanks

      Release the parking brake. If it's engaged the drum won't come off

    I’m on a budget but need to get my rear drum brakes repaired. Can I replace only the brake shoes without replacing or machining the actual drum itself?

      @@davidcobarruvias4185. Nothing yet lol. The car goes to the mechanic this week when I will pose the very same question to him. Hopefully I just need a clean and adjust.

      @@danish2199 Yes, I was able to only replace the shoes along with a new spring kit. Works and sounds much better now!

    Theres a primary and a secondary shoe. They will always wear unevenly brother

    I can't get the drum back on it's too tight what do I need to do

      You need to release the tension from the spring. Put the cover back on and you can tighten the spring from the back of the drum it has a small whole to adjust.
