I was diagnosed with cancer a week ago at 34 and the only place I want to be is here, listening to this and forgetting everything and everyone.
Hello, how are you doing? It is nice seeing you here.
@davidgilmour6 Hi, I'm doing well, still standing and still coming to this video often to forget the world!
@@helenb4550 That’s nice, and it’s a pleasure to have you here Helen. Well I know you must be surprised to receive a message from me right?
I too am fighting breast and lung cancer. Listening helps to take away the pain and stress. Doesn't it? Hope everything worked out for you dear. The doctors tell me after 4 years I'm terminal. "I SAY I WASN'T BORN WITH A EXPIRATION DATE"! Its all a perpetual roller coaster ride. Would love to hear how you're doin. Still fighting strong I hope. We WARRIORS have to. Wow, standing there all by himself, making music, with an acoustic guitar and one pedal - it shows that he is not relying on the electric guitars and mixers and the like. He is just a great musician!
You can tell David Gilmore feels every note he plays, I can just feel his passion for his music !!
Yeah! Which is only one of the reasons he is such a spectacular artist💖!!! He is is truly, truly Gifted!!🌟🙏

I never tire of listening to David Gilmour 😉 love your music sir ❤

I'm overwhelmed. Thank you David Gilmour.
It's one thing to be a legend after you die. But to a legend while living is spectacular. That's what Gilmour and the other members of Pink Floyd are, legends in their own time..
They will be a live for ever.
You are so right Kathleen. To be a living legend is truly magical.
Oh, YES, YES, YES!!!❤️❤️❤️
In my opinion one of the most beautiful Gilmour performances.
If only I could play guitar like him! I wouldn’t sleep for weeks just playing for my own enjoyment!

Hello, how are you doing? It is nice seeing you here.
The opening with Shine on you crazy diamond, was epic. Truly an amazing performance.
People were so mesmerized they kept applauding.
What's cool is you can progressively hear more and more people recognise which song he's performing. Just a smattering of applause in the first minute, but when he hits that chord at 2:06 that's when it clicks for most of the audience.
Shine On You Crazy Diamond is a phenomenal song. Unfortunately, it’s about Syd Barrett, and how he took too much acid one weekend and fried his brain. Have to take the bad with the good, I guess.
Grandissimo David la dimostrazione di un grandissimo musicista oltre che grandissimo Chitarrista tra i migliori di tutti i tempi lo dimostra questo concerto Acustico. Semplicemente Grande ed emozionante💗🎈👻 ❤❤
It's a magnificent concert, great David Gilmour!!

yes no words. Genius artist's and from the heart. Music transcends
David is my favorite guitarist. the man behind the success of PinkFloyd the legend.
GodBless
Roger waters of pink Floyd wrote the wall, dsotm and more. David can't even write lyrics. Roger is THE man behind the success of pink Floyd. David has done his best to erase Roger from the Floyd legacy. Can't be done.
Without Gilmour, Waters lyrics are just words on a page. Nice words. Some poetry. Still just words.
Knofler and Gilmore = 1A/1B
@@PoppyFields. Done right here. Poetry without the maestro.
for Cripes sake they had a bum speak a couple of the lines in the song here ... LOL.
How things have changed in 20 years.. I went to see Ray LaMontangne last year and I swore I would never go to a live show again. Too many people with smartphones on their phones, people talking during the performance, etc. It was horrible.
Ray is very good music, Gilmour is the Greatest for me. I just know now the audience would ruin it for me.

I wish ppl would listen to the music - talking during songs drives me bonkers! It's also rude to the artist and other gig goers.

IMO, all the gimmicks and trappings current artists use in performing is just to cover up the fact they aren't really good at what they do. With some exceptions of course..
Early saturday morning, I just woke up and I enjoy in this unforgetable perfomance, the best solo concert I'v ever seen, these People are marvelous musicians... No words for them...

Comme quoi, si besoin était même sans effets spéciaux, ta musique naturelle est toujours tout aussi belle ✨Merci David, superbe
A truly gifted man. You know he spent half his life in recording studios. This is artistic output and dedication. I hope young artists hold Gilmour as a gold standard for just staying sharp and innovative their whole lives.
problem is, none of them have his talent. Their sharpness and innovation are always going to go wanting in comparison. But I agree, it's important to stay true to your art.
@Brian Jacob You are right. Even Gilmour himself supports new talent. Jeff Lynn is another talent like that. Neil Diamond gave Elton John his big break and it made him happy.
Gilmoure tomo la banda ( floyd) cuando syt Barret no pudu tocar pasado de ácido
There are no words to describe his abilities we are all so lucky to have been able to listen to his talent! It happened during our lifetime for a reason because we can appreciate the experience wow is all that can be said wow!!

I will see David, probably for the last time, this year, in Rome. And now I just found this video here, with this concert, which I have also on DVD, but actually I had totally forget it. But it is probably one of the best demonstrations of the genius of this man. The way he attacks "shine on" armed only with an acoustic guitar and a pedal, is sublime. I hope I will have the opportunity to thank him, just to shout "thanks Dave, for making my life less hard, by bringing, with your music (together with Roger, Rick and Nick) so many moments of beauty, joy and genius. Thank you all, and hope you continue for many years to provide us with those moments".
Thanks, thanks, a thousand times thanks, HD.
This video is magical, it makes me dream and I feel like I am there in the audience.
With love and gratitude.
This is absolutely delightful

Considering Syd gave everyone the chance
Syd was almost too talented. May have been the most talented person who ever lived.
