- Metal / rock fans first time reaction to Alan Jackson's "Five O'clock Somewhere" while checking out Jefferson's experiment 3
They won an award for this song. When they were accepting it, Jimmy said "I sure am glad I saved your sagging career, Alan!"
Hilarious! - Keith
I like the whole song! Alan is awesome but it's fun that Jimmy joins in. The song just makes you happy.
This song was written and given to Alan Jackson in 2003. And he said great, because he was looking for a song to do with Jimmy Buffett. They won the award for the vocal event of the year...the 1st award Jimmy has ever won
Alan Jackson is definitely in my top five country artists. this is one of his many great songs This is a original Alan Jackson but they just make mentions of Jimmy buffett's margaritaville song
LOVE Margaritaville!
Great reaction yall! I have to agree with Dustin on this one, I love the way Alan Jackson sang it.
Living in Central Virginia I made a lot of trips to the beach with kids & grandkids. Always played Buffett CDs on the way. I would skip the Why Don't We Get Drunk & Screw because I didn't want to have to explain it to them. My favorite was A Pirate Looks at 40.
I think this is the video that I seen where Alan Jackson was talkin about this video. He had a camera crew there and it rained for 6 hours, so Allen finally said let's get drunk and I have fun, and camera crew filmed it! Sounds like a cool way to make a video! 🤔
Saw Alan Jackson in concert probably 27-28 years ago, it was during a huge snowstorm here, he delayed his concert to give ppl time to get there and he was so crazy good! Better live than on recordings. To me that’s what a big thing about makes an artist good, if they can really sing live. I can’t send in a bribe cuz I can’t afford it, but please do the house that built me by Miranda lambert or Tinman by Miranda Lambert BUT Tinman HAS to be the one from the award show, just her and her guitar. It’s so dang good!
Jimmy Buffett puts on an awesome concert! I was fortunate enough to go to one of his concerts 4 or 5 years ago with a group of girlfriends. We had the good sense to hire a limo for the ride there and back so nobody had to fight the traffic and we could indulge in a few drinks of our own!
I agree with Dustin, I always enjoy Alan's part of the song, he makes it
I saw them and George Strait in 04 at the old Texas Stadium. All three did a whole set, and they did a whole set together at the end. It lasted from 4pm to 2am. I've been to see just about everybody that performs, and that concert was the greatest I've ever seen, and second place isn't close. Not sure anything today can come close.
alan jackson is always such a class act.
Jimmy's music is just a vibe that's why we dig it. Alan makes great country music! Great combo yall have a great one.
I have been to a couple of concerts of Jimmy's they are so much fun!
JB RIP ! Best concerts ever !!
My Aunts Jana and Marie were both serious Parrot Heads, my Mom not as much.. the other 2 Aunts always preferred country.
So the 5 of us ( my cousin Noel the 5th) went to several Buffett concerts and to Several of the Margaritaville restaurant/ bars. Though further away from our homes in Pasco county, the one in the Keys was a favorite weekend trip.
Great way to start my Friday morning. Enjoy y'alls reactions. Thanks
Alan Jackson is always the best and his music is awesome been listening to him for a long time 💖🥰💕
Buffet puts on one hell of a show ❤❤❤❤❤
LOVE Jimmy Buffett and Alan Jackson ❤
Ya'll !!!! Florida native here, I've seen Jimmy Buffet 6 times in my 53 years !! Love it !!!!! Island life, baby!❤ I'm looking at Georgia, and I'm on the sand in Florida watching for Subs, and my line to have something on it😂 can you guess where I'm at? Ya'll have a wonderful weekend!
This was performed on Magravitta Ville, Jimmy Buffett's island
I think the thing I like best about this particular song but Jimmy and Alex just having fun. It is great video is also great reaction job.
Alan Jackson song done great but Jimmy makes everything a party. I've been to 11 Jimmy concerts and a party from the minute you arrive at hotel with parking lot parties, crowd singing at show and people recounting stories in the restaurants as having breakfast before heading home the next morning. My last show was right before lockdown but next year I will go to my last show.
Love both!! Great song!!!!
Wiki says Buffett concert was at Ruoff Music Center, Noblesville, IN. 🤯 😂 Alan's part was Jupiter, FL where he used to have a home. Have watched this video 100s of times and always assumed it was Key West or Tampa for Buffett. 😜
I love this video! I think we've all been in the mindset at some point.
Oh yeah, most of this week for me. - Keith
I saw them in concert and it was great. I was young and wasn't prepared for all the old people doing skark fins (fins to the left, fins to the right) in the crowd. I laughed through the whole song.
Need to add a vote for Somewhere Down in Texas by Jason Boland and the Stragglers.
Love Alan and Jimmy
This has always been one of my favorite Alan Jackson songs. I think this is the first time you guys reacted to the burbon more than the song. Still love it though....made my morning.
Y’all make fun of him but…the Ultimate Beach Bum is Kenny Chesney! His concerts are off the charts!
Jimmy Buffett tops Kenny l love both of them but Jimmy is like the OG kenny
The do a great version of Margaritaville on Alan’s album Under The Influence.
Rip Jimmy. You will be missed.
I got 2 request from the same artist.
Trick Pony - pour me
Trick Pony - on a night like this.
I think for Keith as a rock guy he will enjoy pour me.
Also the singer did go solo
Heidi newfield with her song Johnny and june.
Alan Jackson does a great concert!! Maybe 8 of his concerts!!!!
Great song choice for today. It's 5 o'clock all day today! If you've never been to a Buffett concert, it's worth doing at least once! Sooooo much fun! Half the people don't even buy tickets, they just come for the tailgating. Speaking of concerts and such... they just dropped the lineup for Louder Than Life this year. Not as good as last year, but another good lineup.
I haven't been to one, but I've been at the beach when all the parrotheads were in town. Definitely a different kinda crowd. - Keith
@@BourbonCountryReacts I'm sure every city boasts to have the best tailgate, but Cincinnati (aka Fin-cinnati) really is awesome. It is, after all, where the term "Parrot Head" originated.
I love this song! My dad is probably the only German Jimmy Buffett fan. 😂 I was kind of forced to grow up with him.
How are you going to track which Bottle tasted the best? Because I would be forgetting which one tasted like which flavour.
Great reaction. I enjoy Alan Jackson. And this is a fun song. And just so you know right now it’s almost 5 o’clock in Germany. But we had a white sausage breakfast in the morning and I had a beer at work at 9:30 am. In Bavaria we don’t wait till 5 o’clock. 😂
hahah, a "beer at work" would be insta-fired in most of the US. - Keith
@@BourbonCountryReacts really? Fired for drinking beer? Strange. To a Bavarian breakfast ( before noon) you drink a beer, that’s a cultural thing. I know the rules regarding alcohol are a lot stricter in the US. But fired for drinking a beer? That’s really shocking to me.
You missed all the talk back and forth, because you were talking :) Alan also does Marquaritaville with Jimmy.
Whiskey is a battery for me. Gives me energy. Maybe not always good energy, but energy. :)
The Traveling Wilburys - End Of The Line (Official Video)
Loved the reaction...
Buffett show's are a must.
I worked for ISC for 18 years.
Great reaction. Love Alan Jackson. Just wondered if you are close to doing one of the Alan Jackson requests I sent in?
Library books, vanilla, chocolate and oak sounds delicious.
What’s not to love? -Dustin
When you said Jimmy sang it better, you aren't thinking this was his song were you? Because it's AJ's original. Just wondered because of your comment at the beginning
Whisky flight in a box?! Cool!
Dont forget to assign a rating system in the beginning so you can keep track of favorite to least liked.
Spoiler alert, check out Episode 2 when it drops for ratings -Dustin
My taste is not so developed that I can pull out the different notes from most things. Except that rye just tastes like grass. I need one of those tasting note cards to tell me what I'm tasting. hahaha Though I feel like I can sometime taste caramel or vanilla notes in some things.
And I think that's the first time I've heard someone describe "library books" as a tasting note, but I can imagine what that tastes like. ha
People dress like that to all of Jimmy Buffetts concert. His concerts and tailgating is very fun. Alan Jackson is phenomenal and his concerts are great too. And yes buffet fans like myself is a parrot head
This is not a Jimmy Buffett song Alan Jackson was looking for a song that he could sing with Jimmy Buffett and this is the song he decided on
The camera quality seems a lot better recently in your videos
We upgraded our camera equipment a few months ago. - Keith
It’s Alan Jackson’s song so of course he sang it better!
Losing Alan to health issues is a tragedy for country music.
My sister is a parrot head. Flies all over the country for concerts.
Have to agree with Kieth on this one, the Buffett version is better. Full disclosure, I am a parrot head, but I also really enjoy Alan Jackson songs. Both sing very well, but this song and its content is just a better fit for Buffett. Can't really put my finger on exactly why, maybe Alan sings it just too cleanly? Enjoy the collab, but if I am going to this song, I am pulling the Buffett version every time.
The reason you only finding this song with Jimmy Buffet is because thats is the original the song literally features Jimmy Buffet
Couldn't hear last few lines because crowd was yelling so blame loud😢
You really need to listen to Confederate Railroad. I like my women a little on the trashy side. Quite funny.
Not trying to complain here but Is Just a FYI the last few videos I've I watched The music sounds like it's coming through a tunnel kind of hard to understand and hear And if you try to turn it up to Hear the music your voice is way too Loud When you talk
I just listened to it on earbuds and it sounded fine. - Keith
Alan Jackson was my first favorite artist and is on my personal Mount Rushmore.
But this song.. I despise it with a passion. It's my least favorite song of Alan's. Lol
For multiple reasons. It was insanely overplayed on the radio for years. I'm not a fan of pure party/drinking songs, and tropical scenes. Personal preference. Those are just a couple of main reasons for me.
intro way too long.
I really hate when you miss the funny lyrics because you couldn't wait 2 seconds for a musical break to speak
