Louisianna Man is the name of a song guys. It is a song with a kind of Cajun feel and that's what that lyric refers to. The fiddle was played by the lead guitarist. He is not primarily a fiddle player.
Alabama is one of my favorites. The other week I was driving home with my 2 year old and Alabama came on the radio and she goes “Daddy’s song.” She knows me well. Lol
The reason they mention Louisiana Man is because that is a song by Cajun fiddle player Doug Kershaw. The portion of the verse means that for most songs a hot lead guitar will be fine but not if you play a Cajun song like "Louisiana Man" (which is played often in Texas) or for Bob Wills' "Faded Love." To play those songs (and Texans expect you to play them) you have to have a fiddle.
You always send them the best songs and bourbon. This song has been on my play list for a long time. I think my fave’s of theirs is Mountain Music , Song of the South and Angels Among Us.
Texas fiddle is a little different in that most Texas fiddle is "Twin fiddles" combo (like Bob Wills music) when Cajun fiddle is that quick two stepping sound, as demonstrated here. I love the sound of both styles.
If you are going down the Alabama rabbit hole, I'd recommend Song of the South, High Cotton, I'm in a Hurry (and Don't Know Why), Lady Down on Love, Mountain Music, and Angels Among Us.
My favorite Alabama songs are My Home’s in Alabama, Mountain Music, and Tennessee River. They remind me of my childhood. I grew up in NE Alabama near the Tennessee River with my grandparents hosting a biweekly picking session at their home.
Alabama was in the 80s, what Brooks and Dunn were in the 90s. They won every award out there!!! Lobe me some great Alabama!!! Take a dive down that rabbit whole!! Start with Angel's Among Us, and go back in time!

Listen to Alabama's song of the south, feels so right. And my favorite, 40 hour week. My dad lived this song. He was from Ranger, WV and we had many family member who worked in the coals mines. This is a song for every working man, but they call out several professions that get little gratitude. I cant send you bourbon, but my daddy taught me about country music. Check out Keith Whitley. He was from across the river from Huntington, WV in Kentucky. He was amazing and would probably be right up there with George Strait and Alan Jackson had he lived.

Jeff Cook plays the lead guitar and the fiddle. I'm sure he spent a ton more time with the guitar. He had a bass made for Randy Owen and Randy recently sent it to GMM and it became part of the set.
Great reaction. Randy Owen - Lead singer for Alabama has a very wide range of vocal sounds. As far as fiddle playing Charley Daniels is Awesome. Mark O’Connor is another great Fiddler that was influenced a lot by Charley Daniels. Listen to The Devil went down to Georgia by Charley Daniels - then right after listen to The Devil comes back to Georgia - This classic tune features the late Johnny Cash as the song’s narrator, Marty Stuart as the voice of Johnny, Travis Tritt as the voice of the devil, and Mark O’Connor as the fiddle player for Johnny’s solo and also Charley Daniels plays fiddle in the background throughout the song.

I’m glad you gave Alabama another chance, as the last one I saw you reacted to was certainly NOT close to their best.
