- Richard Sleigh ( hotrodharmonicas.com ) walks you through a a process for developing a convincing vibrato that works for both blow and draw notes and chords. For all levels, great for beginners because it gets you on the right track with supporting your breath for power and stamina as well as tone.
Nice video! It only took me six months of practice to get a good and consistent vibrato. Once learned never forgotten.
Hi Richard Excellent lesson I’ve struggled with getting vibrato for some time, been hopeless but your technique is the best by far that I’ve come across, the triplet way is excellent I’m already improving after watching this video. This video is just what I needed as I start working on vibrato in my next online zoom song . Take it easy. From David Barrett’s course. So thank you so much for this video.you don’t know how much you have helped me .Warmest Regards. Norm Western Australia

Thanks so much. Found myself a little deeper in the pocket and really liked the feel and sound. I'll work on that tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow. Best, Bill
Real virtuose. And good teacher. Thank you.
Brilliant! Thank you Richard! Every time I watch this video, I learn more! 🙏💕🤗
Absolutely knock out-many thanks!
I've been playing the harmonica for 60 years on and off for pleasure (since ten yo) but in a slipshod, by ear, and experimentation until lately. I discovered most tricks and skills while playing along with records, which is how I learned. But of all the videos I have watched lately, your vibrator lesson here is the best I've seen on the subject. I have found that expressing a "K" at the back of the throat helps. But one can "cheat" by "chewing on the harmonica. Your advice to put the harp deep into your mouth is also good advice. BTW; playing harp is a very good way for older people to tone their palate to avoid sleep apnea. Everyone should noodle around on a harmonica!
Thank you Richard
Very nice sir!

My Saturday morning exercise. Thank you!

Thanks a lot to you aswell
Good stuff 👍🏻
Hi Richard,
Is it real Just Intonation tune?
You hypnotized me and I started barking like a dog! cut it out, Richard...
actually, nice video, but it is more Harmonica Tremolo than vibrato, although the sound you create is just as sweet.
I agree, although many harmonica teachers say it’s traditionally known as vibrato in the harmonica world. If the note stops and starts, it is tremolo. ✌️
@@Blue_3rd vibrato is a modulation in pitch. Tremolo is a modulation in volume - not stop/start.
Feel like I'm going to hyperventilate?!
