I just don't know how long Keenan has left in him to play at an elite level as he's getting older. But I would love to get Odunze. But the easy pick is getting Dallas Turner.

I think he would had eventually. He probably would not had won 3 SBs, but his talent would had been recognized such as what happened to Stafford. Too much credit given to coaches. 80% of success is the quarterback, all the coach can do is set up best conditions, not perfect conditions for him. Matt Nagy was blamed for Fields failure, he goes to Kansas City as offensive coordinator and wins a SB with Mahomes with no decent receivers except Kelcie and the most dropped passes in the NFL. Same thing with Brady/Belicheck. Brady leaves to Tampa and wins another SB while Belicheck does nothing and gets fired this year wth a 4-13 record. And he was one of the winnigest coaches in NFL history? Why was that? How come his great "coaching skills" didn't transfer to success when Brady left? I think the Bears want Washimgton to think they are gonna draft Caleb Williams so they can get more to trade picks. I think Bears go for Daniels from LSU or Penix from Universoty of Washington
As soon as Chicago loses a few games, we will see what Mr Williams is all about. Fields did the grunt work of the rebuild, now Williams must take advantage of this situation.
They're giving Caleb Everything that they wouldn't give Fields. Fields #1 WR was Darnell Mooney for 2 years, then they give him DJ Moore and he did well. Now they give Caleb DJ Moore and Keenan Allen, and possibly Odunze or Bowers, Fields never had weapons like that, he never had a chance.
The previous regime did that. You can't blame Ryan Poles for doing what's right for the Bears long term. I love JF, I hope he goes on to win with Pittsburg, I truly believe he is a top tier QB in this league. It sucks that he was put in the position he was but Poles is doing the right thing for the franchise here.
ok you say he did well but compared to 2022... His qbr went down His rating was the same He took more sacks. And barely cracked 2500 yards. In the end I don't totally disagree with you. But this was the obvious decision due to what the rookie QB contract allows for the rest of the roster. We had one cost controlled year of Fields before possibly overpaying for his services. I think it's telling that he didn't even land a starting job.
Yeah Poles had to come in and clean house when he got here, Pace left a mess, bloated contracts, offense was a disaster, he didn’t have a choice and said exactly what he was going to do, tare it down. That wasn’t because of Justin, it was because of everything else. Poles never judged him on year 2, he understood the problems. But he did bring in Moore, he did draft Wright. He didn’t judge Justin based off the defense having a bad game. But he looked at other things, the slow drop back, the slow release, the hitches, the 4th quarter collapses and interceptions, the inability to throw over the middle. These are not scheme problems, they are not issues with personnel, these are QB problems. He didn’t play well enough. And now for some reason you want him to not keep improving the team. Guy did a tare down his first year, and look at all the pieces he has added in the following two off seasons. He plans to keep doing that because it’s what is best for the Bears.
After 3 years of having the lowest 4th quarter completion % and near the top in 4th quarter interceptions you have to start laying some of the blame on the guy playing the position.
Insane the amount of disrespect Trubisky gets... Threw 6 TDs in one game 2018 Year 3rd in QBR That drive to set up the double doink NEVER THREW A PICK SIX People make him out to be SOOO bad YOU OWE HIM A THANK YOU POST CHICAGO BEARS
~ All season long the narrative was "Caleb is bigger than Patrick Mahomes". Dude officially measured at 6ft. tall. Bears fans can start worrying now . . . ~
As a Bears fan since I was 6 years old and I’m 34 do we really think that going and getting pieces and throwing a rookie qb in gone change our culture in here for it… it’s the same thing every few years we starting over at qb I’m bout tired of being a bears fan they been making horrible decisions since they fired Lovie Smith and gave Brian Urlacher!! This season is bust or win for me I don’t care who they have or I will no longer have a football team ‼️💯
PTDD - Post Trubisky Draft Disorder. I just pray that we avoid the pandemic of the White Sox, where we can't keep him on the field for more than 60% of a season.
Bears rebuild reminds me of the Cowboys rebuild in the early 90s. If Caleb is as good as he is, I feel like they can be the surprise team that comes out and takes the NFL by storm, not to mention the NFC isn’t as tough as the AFC.
Fortunately, Poles has built the roster to the point that even if the starter was Bagent, they would still be fighting for a playoff spot this year. Williams would have to be atrocious (which he most likely won't be) to keep the Bears out of playoff contention. I'm not on the "he's gonna be a bust" train but I haven't drunk the "he's the second coming of Mahomes" Koolaid either. We'll just have to see.
Rinse and repeat every 3 years now. I’m not sold on this new regime ability to develop a quarterback. You can’t blame the next leadership for what the precedent is but you can see the same trends and thought processes from the last regime but the allure of a new regime disguises it.
Can see it now. Justin Fields is the starting QB of the Steelers in the playoffs but hey, “it’s only because he’s on such a good team.” Caleb struggles and like Trevor every excuse in the world is made for him.
Delusional. Caleb will have better stats this year than fields ever did here with more wins. He's a better thrower of the football by such a wide margin
Caleb does not want to be a Bear. You can see it in his vibe, he demeanor and the way he talks. He was trying to keep his cool, but he knows one way or the other the Commanders will nab Caleb. He keeps himself to distant around the bears, and even when he saw Keenan. Said he’s known him for a year. Magic johnson is crafty business dealer and he got cliff to DC for a reason. Calen wants his guys. Kliff, magic, the Commanders.
Even if this is true.....assuming you somehow have inside information because he has NEVER said that. Guess who has the #1 pick and who doesn't. Caleb is going to Chicago!
As a Packer fan I love this move. Caleb Williams will help keep the Bears in obscurity for at least 2 or 3 years until he joins the likes of Vince Young, Ja Marcus Russell,RG3, or just about any one the Browns have drafted or traded at quarterback for the last 15 years, Willams may have the skill but his head is in the wrong place and will be yet another bust for Chicago.
Haha! Please, you would have been more worried if the Bears kept Fields ?? 1st round QB's are always risky picks but it was the right move. Goodluck with Love. That GB offense lived and died with a healthy Aaron Jones. Now getting rid of him, that's a move I love.
A look back - Justin Fields had a better pro day than Caleb Williams, and a 70 yard throw to exceed CW's 65 yard throw. Much more pressure on CW because he has to win two of his first three games because every player in the NFL know that with the players the Bears signed, JF would win 10 + games this season.
Tell me you dont want me to draft you without telling me he doesn't care about the number 1 pick he clearly let everyone know what teams he wants to go to 😂😂😂
If you go back and watch his highlights he always had an amazing pocket around him and has 7-8 seconds to throw The average nfl completion was 2.7 seconds last year It’ll be interesting to see what happens because they do have weapons for him
No, Mitch Trubisky isn’t walking through that door. But you know who did less than 24 months ago, with just as much fanfare, if not more, than Williams? None other than Justin Fields. Chicago is the place where QB careers go to die before they get started. Twenty four months from now Caleb Williams won’t be in Chicago. He’ll be playing in Denver.
i don't doubt that caleb can elevate a deflated bears team but i feel like he may ultimately disappoint. listening to him i really don't think he has it, whatever it is. sometimes you just know. you listen to cj stroud and you know he has it.
To you guys bashing the bears, clearly you aren’t paying enough attention to what the bears were when Ryan poles arrived to what they’ve become, and now can be of Williams pans out
This passed on Mahomes BS is old. He was 13-19 out of college. He went to the right team with the right mentors at the right time after multiple years in the NFL.
Stop it. If mahomes went to the Bears, he'd be in the same boat as trubisky. They're not a team that's good at developing a qb. They still need an o-line, they still need another TE, they need more receivers and a running game. The defense doesn't pass rush very well, their play is a rollercoaster. And apparently, we're ignoring that their HC is on the hot seat, the GM might be on the hot seat and unless they hired waldron to take eberfleus' job when he inevitably gets fired, there will be a new offensive system next year, too. I take no joy in saying this and I hope I'm wrong, the one consistent thread throughout all the failure has been ownership, until that isn't the case, I'm going to expect more of the same.

Noodle armed Tyson Bagent, without a center or Keenan Allen, was 2 of 4 last year.
The Bears will find a way to screw this up. They always do.
As soon as Chicago loses a few games, we will see what Mr Williams is all about. Fields did the grunt work of the rebuild, now Williams must take advantage of this situation.
Fields was far and away the #1 reason the " rebuild", was so painful!!
Fields was 10 - 28. He isn't an NFL calibre starting qb!!
High 1st round 3rd time is a charm
I listen to this guy at 1.5 speed he’s real a slow talker
Why won't Caleb get a Trevor? Does anyone hold Trevor's rookie season against him? Was he considered a bust?
His qbr went down
His rating was the same
He took more sacks.
@@caseysager655numbers can be twisted anyway you want. Most of that blame goes on the Bears franchise.
Insane the amount of disrespect Trubisky gets...
Threw 6 TDs in one game
2018 Year 3rd in QBR
That drive to set up the double doink
NEVER THREW A PICK SIX
People make him out to be SOOO bad
YOU OWE HIM A THANK YOU POST CHICAGO BEARS
Jayden Daniels isn't the #2 qb. Drake Maye is clearly above Daniels. Mc Carthy could possibly be drafted ahead of Daniels also.
Meth is bad for you…
~ All season long the narrative was "Caleb is bigger than Patrick Mahomes". Dude officially measured at 6ft. tall. Bears fans can start worrying now . . . ~
Williams is 6', 7/8, virtually 6'1"
Post Traumatic Tribinsky Disorder is a real thing.
Bear head get it right.
I smell Bo Callaghan!
Sharing a division with the Packers and the new Lions makes it tough for the Bears.
We're not stuck in the North with them, they're gonna be stuck in here with us 😀
No it doesn't
Bears showed they can hang with the Lions. For some unknown reason we just haven’t against the Pack. I’m ready for Caleb Williams to lead us
The Bears are just as likely to make it tough on the Peckers and Lambs
@@FrankieLunn The " unknown reason", has the initials , J F!!
Until its time for contract negotiation 😂😂😂😂😂 then back to square one ..thats the chicago bear way
Rinse and repeat every 3 years now. I’m not sold on this new regime ability to develop a quarterback. You can’t blame the next leadership for what the precedent is but you can see the same trends and thought processes from the last regime but the allure of a new regime disguises it.
Waldron is key !
Can see it now. Justin Fields is the starting QB of the Steelers in the playoffs but hey, “it’s only because he’s on such a good team.”
Caleb struggles and like Trevor every excuse in the world is made for him.
He's not even starting.
🙄
He will by playoff time. Probably long before that
Delusional. Caleb will have better stats this year than fields ever did here with more wins. He's a better thrower of the football by such a wide margin
@@keithcrook8591LMAO, living in fantasy land
Mahomes is not the current version without going tocany ried
If we dont at least, make the playoffs this season, idk.
If Bears fans don’t want Caleb they’re insane. I’m a Rams fan and would trade anything they wanted for the right to draft him.
True Bears fan do, the rest (minority) are wannabe lovers of Fields.
The Da Bears are trying to Change there culture. Give Poles credit for getting this far .
We would rather have Poles trade back and start Bagent then waste a pick on one of these QBs
Who is “we”
I definitely don’t want Bagent starting 😂
Caleb/Bears has the feel of watching an arranged marriage be arranged.
"You're going to give millions of dollars and you don't want an a hole on the team"... why not?! The Jets did it! 😂
I’m not buying it. You’re just a Fields fan boy pretending to be a Packer fan. lol
I'm Fields fan. It sucks they used him. To be in this situation of drafting Williams. Push back time to pay quarterback.
Back then Mahomes could have flamed out of the NFL if he was drafted by that Bears Regime.
Third at best for the foreseeable future, no matter what they do.
More like wounds from 86 when we knew it was over.
A path has been laid….lets hope he doesn’t squander it.
And we heard that about Fields, and Trubitsky and Cutler.....
Fields sucks and was gonna hold this team back if we kept him
His Pro day was better? LOL! Caleb walks into Chicago a better QB from jump
Tell me you dont want me to draft you without telling me he doesn't care about the number 1 pick he clearly let everyone know what teams he wants to go to 😂😂😂
If you go back and watch his highlights he always had an amazing pocket around him and has 7-8 seconds to throw
The average nfl completion was 2.7 seconds last year
It’ll be interesting to see what happens because they do have weapons for him
This isn’t true. He had the worst OL in college football this year. Was running for his life on most of the time.
I just dont want to be " owned " by a qb from a nearby rival anymore so...
Caleb will be a bust
Could be. Could be great. Happens every draft, every pick. And?
This is going make Jamacus Russell and Ryan Leaf look like good picks by comparison. 3 years, Williams will be out of the league!
The number one curse to much hype build him up to dump on him!
Go 🐻🎟️🤝🏾 Williams
No, Mitch Trubisky isn’t walking through that door. But you know who did less than 24 months ago, with just as much fanfare, if not more, than Williams? None other than Justin Fields. Chicago is the place where QB careers go to die before they get started. Twenty four months from now Caleb Williams won’t be in Chicago. He’ll be playing in Denver.
I dunno. USC qbs...
The Bears still have an F.O. problem they can never fix.
"Post-Traumatic Trubisky"?...no...the wounds of Bears fans are at least 12 - 13 years old .
i don't doubt that caleb can elevate a deflated bears team but i feel like he may ultimately disappoint. listening to him i really don't think he has it, whatever it is. sometimes you just know. you listen to cj stroud and you know he has it.
To you guys bashing the bears, clearly you aren’t paying enough attention to what the bears were when Ryan poles arrived to what they’ve become, and now can be of Williams pans out
Post Traumatic Trubisky Disorder won't end until we win a Super Bowl since we passed on Mahomes.
This passed on Mahomes BS is old. He was 13-19 out of college. He went to the right team with the right mentors at the right time after multiple years in the NFL.
@@Mad-genius - Thanks for your opinion. Have a nice day.
The Bears owners ,always, set the team up to fail!
