Hi Jeff, In light of just receiving my certificates, I updated my profile recently. I'm searching for IT jobs as a fresher, but I have no idea what the most desirable roles are at the moment! While I have a background in the arts, I am really interested in the IT field.
I've LITERALLY watched almost all your videos at this point. I updated my resume with your tips, wrote several outstanding cover letters and outreach messages, now I'm working on my LinkedIn and I'm just awed by how much value you give out. Thank you so much for being you, Jeff.
I swear, you have THE BEST content out here and an outstanding dynamic to share them! Huge fan of your channel, hope you get all the success you deserve!
I honestly feel like linkedin is one of the most trash tools ever when it comes to searching for a job. especially if you don't have a lot of experience.
Thanks for sharing Joseph! To be honest I struggled with LinkedIn when I was in college (had the same issue, no experience). But I started to engage and connect with other professionals who are using the platform and I ended up getting coffee chats with people working in my target industries!
I don't comment often however I must give you major props! I have listened to several of your videos now and I'm amazed at how absolutely packed with great info and specific advice they are and in a short compact manner, unlike most videos which have way to much fluff and wasted time. Excellent, excellent job sir. I'm a fan and just subscribed.
Hi Jeff, your videos are just AMAZING!!! I have been updating everything following your videos. But in this case, being a marketer with little experience, I wonder what I could put in the intro and bullet points because I had a hard time coming up with a few metrics in my previous jobs and they would be the same over and over again, in the About section, in the experience section and again in the resume (and also in the interview). What would you recommend? Thank you!!
Some excellent tools here! I recently started a new job, and wish I had these when applying. I will be making edits to my summary soon and using these tips, thanks Jeff!
There's a reason the video has a 100% like ratio! Outstanding Videos as always Jeff. If you need a video idea, could you give advice for High school students trying to get Internships in the tech field?
it is interesting video, thank you for sharing those tips in a short video .. I'd like to highlight that searching for a good opportunity is overwhelming work and doing all that effort of updating different platforms like LinkedIn and others off course is such a bummer!
I’m so thankful I found you Jeff!! Been binging all of your videos - talk about quality!! Clear concise to the point and easy to digest - very unique advice rather than the same fluff of repetitive information others in this area provide . You’re the BEST thank YOUUUUUU!! New subscriber + follower ❤️
I'm a fresh graduate business student who has 4 months of internship experience as a data analyst for a distribution tire company, but in this case, I would like to pursue my career in a performance marketing role. Thus what particular advice you can give me for writing the LinkedIn summary? Btw love all of the valuable insights that you've given for free in this channel mate. Cheers from Indonesia!
Hmm. Would the unicode bolding cause issues with LinkedIn's search indexing? Because those characters aren't actually bolded letters, they're characters that look similar to bolded characters. Which means that unless LinkedIn is sanitizing/converting them into normal ascii it may become invisible to the search.
WOWZERS!! Jeff, your videos are simply awesome. You have the ability to deliver such important and useful information in a way that makes this process fun, challenging and motivating. Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge with us while keeping this subject matter engaging and allowing the person watching feel empowered.
Reading LinkedIn profiles just make me feel like a s*ucker, because I haven't managed enormous budgets, I haven't scaled growth nor had led any teams. How to show off when you're new on a field or if there are no impressive metrics to quote on an internship? Because I had projects but nothing remarkable happened. I just got my job done. Seriously, I have literally nothing to brag about myself ha ha. Anyway, thanks for your video! I'll try and see what I might do about it.
It's all about relative impact Fabiana. If we compare ourselves to Bill Gates we would never feel significant. I have once written "fetched x% more coffee than other interns" and potential employers appreciate how I tried to convey the impact vs. the impact itself. Best of luck!

What if I havent accomplished anything and looking for a break? I am a student with no professional experience, average grades, a couple good projects, eager to transform myself into the best version of myself.
Give examples of how you are trying to transform yourself to the best version of yourself. It could be something as simple as building a habit and sticking to it for X amount of days!
How do I write a LinkedIn summary for a position I'm trying to pivot my career to? For example, I'm aiming to be a Project Manager/Coordinator but my previous job titles are Customer Success Manager and Technical Account Manager.

Hi, Jeff, I think you are a reliable youtuber when it comes to job hunting, and even better than my university career coach. I want to ask is it the summary must have to be job/industry-specific? Is there a less job/industry-specific linkedin summary example/ writing method?
It's a good question my friend. In your case I'd identify 3-5 skills that would be applicable across the top 3 industries you're interested in and start from there 😁
Thanks for the video, Jeff! I have a Linkedin summary yet so. Maybe you'll see a summary on my LinkedIn page soon haha. I'll be telling you. Thanks!!...Great Job!!

Nice work, Jeff. It has been very helpful. Thanks for sharing the LinkedIn tips. Can you also share how to create the “Talks about...” reflected in your LinkedIn profile ? It seems to have a different font than the headlines. Thanks
I've watched a lot of your video's and am working on my resume and LinkedIn. What tips would you give someone writing a LinkedIn summary that was an entrepreneur for the last 6 years and now trying to enter the workforce? Thanks for all the content!!
Thanks a lot Jeff! I was wanting to see some new tips and tricks how to improve my profile. Glad that I found your video to be absolutely AMAZING. It was on spot! Keep bringing more such content like this! Hoping to see more about them
@@JeffSu You're welcome! Absolutely it was more than just "helpful". I was completely blown away at first but now, my perspective of seeing a LinkedIn profile has changed completely and major chunk of thanks goes to you! Your tricks really inspired me to make a neat & clean profile. Won't regret following your channel in future. This is really helpful indeed in not only making the careers of future generations better who struggle in building their profile, but also it guides us to a cool, out-of-the-box type profile which can stun any recruiter and can crack the dream job.
Great video and content! I need to ask the question I haven’t seen anywhere else in the comments though. Where is the link to the blazer you’re wearing???
I love your videos! They are all very informative! May I ask, what would you recommend doing if you've only been at your current job for a matter of months and are looking to find a new one? I'm struggling to write my bio based on my current position when the time served is so short. Is it possible to write a bio based solely on the combined experience from a number of jobs? Alternatively, would it look disjointed if I were to make mention of my current position but then touch on experience from previous jobs? Any answer would be extremely helpful! Thank you, K

I love how he advertise a app without viewers knowing it is an advertisement 😂😂
I know right, what a crazy world we live in 😏. I wish LinkedIn would pay me for this "advertisement" though :(
I've watched a lot of your video's and am working on my resume and LinkedIn. What tips would you give someone writing a LinkedIn summary that was an entrepreneur for the last 6 years and now trying to enter the workforce? Thanks for all the content!!
Highlight achievements/skills that are relevant to the role you're applying for!
Thanks a lot Jeff! I was wanting to see some new tips and tricks how to improve my profile. Glad that I found your video to be absolutely AMAZING. It was on spot! Keep bringing more such content like this! Hoping to see more about them
Thank you my friend!! Glad you found this helpful!
Could you give us a plan for fresh graduate(Trainee) please?
The template I shared would work for fresh grads as well :)
Great video and content! I need to ask the question I haven’t seen anywhere else in the comments though. Where is the link to the blazer you’re wearing???
It's a no-name brand haha, I don't think they sell these anymore 😂
Hey, amazing tip and keep sharing your thoughts.
Thank you so much!
Thank you,
K
It's a fair question K. In your (k)ase (lol) I'd recommend focusing on the SKILLS you've built up rather than the individual experiences. Good luck!
@@JeffSu Hahahahah! You're awesome Jeff :D. Thank you so much for the reply, now I can continue on with much more confidence.
Have a wonderful rest of your day and keep making your fantastic videos!
@@THROATCHAKRA-hg4po Thanks my friend! Let me know how it goes and best of luck!
