This guy is a total SHILL !!
So watching to absorb knowledge while sleeping 😂😂😂 I don't know why but I always fall asleep during long episodes in the Whistlerverse.....
@gennystout8952 I always fallen a sleep in parent guardian 😴 lecturing.
What happened to Simon's beard?😂
❤😊❤😊
A Brief History of Simon Whistler's Beard: Abridged, with unrelated commentary regarding weapons of WW2
Bald faced Simon is unsettling
I had to look up if I accidentally pulled up a super old video by mistake
"Brief" History? Are we both watching the same 3 hour video?
Weird, as a WWII RUclips video 3hrs is long. As a video chronicling the history of Simon's beard, 3hrs is the abridged, brief version.
😂
No beard Simon isn't real. No beard Simon can't hurt you
😂😂
Have you seen him Bald?
Have you seen him with hair? My God what must his poor children think?!😂
Simon was given a beard and no hair because otherwise he would’ve been too powerful.
The difference between both Simon's appearance and audio quality in the past compared to the present is insane. I've been watching his videos way too long.
Weird seeing young vs current Simon. Been watching for a decade and the changes are wild
Is that a lisp I hear or a crappy mic
@@alibong00 the mics have improved over the years
I'm not an og but it's interesting to see how young he looks and how the show changed
I came here to comment in all caps about Simon not having a beard, but i found your comment and resisted lol
It’s crazy watching Simon over the years. Especially the last story, now I know he has a time machine because it was filmed in the future when he has hair again so it looks like that Keeps sponsorship finally paid off.
“German forces mined the region so heavily that a French offensive apparently that’s a thing into German territory was halted in its tracks. Shocker” gave me a hoot
I clicked on this video because I absolutely needed to know if it was a De-Bollocker of Nazi origin or if it specialized in De-Bollocking Nazis.
Same!😅
I clicked on it because for a second there I thought simon had gone and done a three hour long video specifically on nazi de-bollocking.
In the first 30 minutes and wanted to applaud Simon's conquering of the word "effortlessly".
I'm enjoying the long compilation style videos, thanks!
so we go from completely bald Simon to majestic bearded Simon! with the bonus of seeing his SW sign lighted up. Nice! I also understand why he decided to grow a beard out lol
Is it weird that I noticed the sign before the beard?
Comment just for engagement to bump Simon's greatness in the algorithm
I've been watching Simon for a long while, but seeing his beard evolution in this video is just amazing. Glad to have such an amazing infotainment host that I know I can rely on for facts and laughs.
My goodness Daven. Did you ever go into the library for this one. Simon barely has a beard. Reminds me of a Top10z from about 8 years ago when he didn't have one. Well done. Cheers from Tennessee
I think that radio, and it’s derived technologies, such as radar, was the most important weapon in WW2.
To me it’s a tie between radio and the UNIVAC
Whoa! I had to look at my watch for the date. Happy April 1st
Seeing Simon without a beard at 1:00:00 was a bit of a shock! 😅🤣🤘 i didnt even recognize him
Awesome channel you have Simon, I really enjoy watching your videos, keep up the great work!
I think it's jointly owned by Daven and Simon.
I always thought D-Day stood for “Disembarkation Day”… You know how allied planners LOVED their particular style of language when it came to literally anything that might be written down or even spoken aloud. I also thought it was fitting in that the definition of disembarkation is: “The act of leaving a vehicle, especially a ship or aircraft and at the end of a journey”. Maybe I’m just reading too much into it, but it’s nice to think about the possible intent behind the choice of words being “The end of the journey, the last boat you’re going to be on until you’re heading home, the final push…”. Disembarkation
Ahh…the “Bouncing Betty” a particularly devastating, and game winning part of my COD World at War arsenal! Particularly rage inducing in hardcore search & destroy! 😂😂😂
Great video and presentation.
Thanks!
As soon as I saw Simon I checked when the video was released. He even looks younger.
That's one of the reasons I clicked.. I saw the thumb nail looked at the date of the video a d was like..wtf.. clicked on the video and discovered its a compilation video and everything made sense... it's a good video so far... I'm only 20ish min in and I'm reading comments about beardless simon and idk if I can handle that
Blown Away
(Bouncing Betty makes a cameo)
Good movie, bad accents, Great actors!!!!
Great movie 👏
Like when they shoot the bomb off the wall? Just a ricochet no?
Damn simon we are not as young as we we were. Where i first found your no nonsense explanation of all things an people interesting to me.
It's like being in 2012....
Good job with “effortlessly”!
Wow, what a blast from the past, and present
Not proud of the fact that I dropped some serious vitamin A back in the 70s/early 80s. First thought seeing this was "flashback" and haven't had one of those since the late 80s. Neon's lit, Simon's mic, Simon's lack of beard and other tid bits. Just a smash up. Well played Simon, well played.
Vitamin A. LOLOL. Yes I’ve taken vitamin A before. Vitamin H and vitamin M. Now I’m on vitamin D only. As in Dad Jimmy won’t quit saying he’s not touching me and holding his finger close to me!!! I told them to go play in the middle of the freeway. My wife slapped in the back of the head. I called my Mommy!! She hung up!!
@@bearnunnemaker5453 what on earth are you going on about? You lost me after vitamin d.
@@wingerding vitamin D as in being a dad.
Enjoy the work . ❤❤
Big fan of the neon Fact Boy! Well done Sir
Great to watch Simons beard grow.
I'd forgotten about the neon sign
The “V Sauce” sign lmao
I know it’s supposed to be *S*imon *W*histler, but that neon certainly doesn’t make it clear 😅
"Shortly after Adolf Hitler *managed to take out* Hitler." Whoever wrote that line, kudos to you my friend.
I wasnt ready for beardless Simon. I was having diner while watching this video when beardless Simon appeared. There was diner on my plate, in my mouth, on the table, on the monitor, on the floor... I. Wasnt. Ready.
I think that the prototype mixed engine piston/jet or piston/rocket planes made by different countries at the end of ww2 are probably some of the coolest looking planes ever made. I wish it was still a thing. Imagine a super advanced modern version of those things.
That Higgins was a badass of a Human Being 🤟🏻
Miss Shillings Orfice.. haha nice
Were you bald in secondary school Simon? Great flash back... thanks for what you do!
Cool mate, w h smith's imitation sign is fixed 😂
In 1983, I was trained in our version of the bouncing Betty, M60 anti tank mines and Claymores. I was then a member of the USMC Engineer school. In doing so, we also trained in removing mines. Our Bettie’s had the “kicker” charge in them as a training aid. We wore face shield as we did so. I witnessed a fellow Marine removing an anti tank mine. As he did, his right foot set off a Betty surrounding the big one. We all heard a “pop”. He spun around only to be hit in the face as the Betty emerged. It lifted him off his feet and he landed on another. The second bruised his kidney. We later had to dig a grave, and partially bury him and mock cry (Marine Corps engineer instructors are a little sick). Later, we all laughed our asses off at the poor idiot!!!
Oh! The Daven Takes to Flight
The French called it the "hell to the no! " mine
The D in D-Day referes to the D point. It was the day the allies began to attack the D point after it had finaly been found.
Found many of these, they are pretty common in some rivers in Luxemburg
The s mine sounds like some sort of futuristic device. I wonder how it was produced and designed over 80 years ago to do that
The Whistler 👍👍
Had the scientists simply told hitler that the atomic research was basically magic, the power of the gods, he would’ve been more interested. Lol
It is now fact that Simon is an early iteration of A.I.
Holy Crap, didn't realize this is a 3 hour movie!
Simon, how are you and your fortunate large-wooded partner doing? Keep up the good work man!
Ol' Greenbeard Is Back
Woot woot!
Simon isn't that old.. I don't think he even 40 yet... but hes sooooo young in the first 10min of this.. holy crap
So you're telling me the COD tactic of hitting the deck after tripping the mine actually worked thats unexpected
French offensive... apparently thats a thing 😂🤣 Lmfao!! You get a thumbs up for that one Simon, that was hilarious 😂🤣😂🤣😂
How old is this episode
That's Headley!....Harvey Korman says.😃
In high school, we were taught that the 'd' in "d day' stands for David: Dwight Eisenhauer's middle name. I like your explanation better.
The problem with mines is that they're always used for evil.
Simon mispronouncing Volksjäger kills my soul, but then no beard Simon makes it all better
Someone mispronouncing a word kills your soul??
This generation is screwed...
What I find interesting is non-native english speakers can mispronounce English words and no one gives them a hard time. But if a native english speaker mispronounces a non english word, it kills souls.
Do you see the hypocrisy?
This is so old the SW sign is still working.
As aan army 12b1p in 1987 we called it the bouncing betty and were taught it was designed to injury soldiers so that it would remove 3 soldiers from the battle ( 1 injured and 2 to carry injured soldier back to medical) i rember during advance training in disarming these 3 prong mines that it blew up and didnt kill the 2 soldiers laying next to it instead it blew ear drums and blew the 2nd lieutenant thumb and little finger off and but neither were injured from the shrapnel because it blew out like an upside down cone and since they were both under 5ft 7 their feet were just missed from the shrapnel
ancient simon
I wish I could reverse age ......just like that. Cheers 🍻
Beardless simon doesnt exist.
Beardless simon can't hurt you .
Simon’s beard is the fastest growing beard on planet earth!!
Me 163 idea was incorporated into the nf104
Lil antidote, i’m friends with a Shrapnel. Her great grand dad invented Shrapnel. Wild family legacy.
At 1:00:00 I thought the channel was changed lol
Hey! Who's this guy? Where is Beard guy that i usually fall asleep to? ❤
Knew this, but I always like to think of it as Doomsday (for the Axis).
How many Simon are you? Surprised too much 😂😂
How does Simon look younger than ever?
There is a working Link trainer restored and maintained at the Champaign Aviation Museum in Urbana, Ohio.😊o
Am I the only one seeing Les Grossman in Tropic Thunder?
Long compilation
Australia still has M14, M16 and anti tank mines.
Sorry but I couldn't get past the part where you said the mine would bounce up into the air and explode violently.
lack of spare gigawatts to enrich enough fissile material
No "Big Red One" references
You cut your beard! I like it slightly fuller
The American military saw all that atom bomby research and decided that the Americans ought to be the first to spank atoms into a critical rage….
How many variants in the Whistlerverse?
Clearly Hitler had tried testing this weapon himself
The Germans didn’t have a 2 year head start. Theoretical results about nuclear fission were not enough to count as such - and those were internationally published anyway.
One of key assets of the USA uranium bomb program was the Tennessee Valley Authority, a "Great Depression political boondoggle", which built numerous unneeded, often unequipped, power dams in the 1930s. This system was quickly and completely built out with all its needed generating equipment and transmission lines during WW2 and provided the huge amounts of electric power required to separate the rare fissile uranium bomb isotope from its much less active, much more common uranium, close relative.
wtf simon. the beard is
born lol
1:20:18 -- 3,000 km/h is not "nearly twice the speed of sound" but rather 2.43 times ... Ooops.
Depends...
Who replaced Simon with THIS guy?!?! 😲
So odd seeing Simon without a beard 😆
57:05 that's a V1
Simon, you trimmed up the beard! Makes you look younger. Oh, good discussion/info. Take care.
D-day is like saying "Macha green tee.' Which is Day-day and Green tea green tea. So we know it happens with other lingo
D-Day = Day Day. Basically it’s just a way to talk in low key code. If you’ve ever talked with anyone in the military you’ll find out how often short form, abbreviation and acronyms are used in daily life. My dad was military, I was raised a military brat. It’s been 12 years since he passed away and I haven’t heard the lingo daily but I can still decode and understand it when I cross soldiers in public. I don’t know how much of the lingo I actually know. I’m surprised how much I know and understand.
I always thought D-Day was doomsday
Actually D-Day is correct as Departed/departure Day.
The day in which the D becomes now
No. It isn’t.
This isn't April Fools content is it?
I am hoping to see that on Brain Blaze or Casual Criminalist 😅😅😅 Too much that can be done on those channels for April fools....
No, its not a April fool. These things are real. Modern militaries still use mines like this. They work very well..
Sadly no. Bouncing Betty was serious, and may not be entirely gone.
A demi-Jon of gin is quite a scary amount to feed to anyone!
