I totally agree this is my first MPC and I love this thing. So much I also got the MPC Key and I love that too but for portability this thing is amazing. I just took a cruise and bought this with me and was making beats on the ocean 🌊
I have the X and the live 2 but the X stays in the studio and I just take the Live 2 out with me to other studios and all my files come with me with just a REALLY good SD Card. I can’t stress this enough do NOT go the cheap way when purchasing an SD card and I recommend replacing the card every two years even if the old one has not failed you.
I never intended for the Live II to be my favorite piece of gear that I own but it is. It’s incredibly useful and versatile. Even just using it for sound design and not making beats.
Facts. I have a One + and wished I paid the extra $500. But I’ll be grabbing it and letting the One + be the cook up master at the studio when I’m away. Pair that with a case from analog cases and your golden, can cook up anywhere! With out having to have headphone or a Bluetooth speaker with a aux input. Make beats at the skate park, on the beach, at the Tesla charger station.. etc lol

Love mines has been the best investment although i would love a X as well but man the L2 just bangs and i took mines to blacklion audio and got the upgrade.
Facts!! I love my live2. I never used a mpc before it, and I was making beats within a couple hours of starting. By my 3rd beat on it, I'm basically a Vet. The workload is super easy to learn, and after going to RUclips University, I'm Damn near Power User level. 💯
I have the MPC live MK one but I’m going to get the live too because I have my first live for now eight years now which I still love it but I wanna upgrade
I have a decent little project studio, with some analog gear, etc., but I’m into the convenience of the Live2. It’s nice to be able to just grab the L2 and get creative in the living room. I connect a MPK Mini Plus when I want to go beyond pads. It’s a tight combo, and still very convenient.
I’m right there with you Bolo! I bought mine almost 3 years ago and haven’t been disappointed. All you see is companies trying to recreate their version of it.

I loved the MPC X but the hardest decision I ever made was selling it to get the Live 2 I’m hoping Akai will make a Live 3 with a 10inch screen and touch strip
Having a hard time deciding on a brand new retro live 2 or a used X. They’re about the same price. I already have an octatrack and want to use them together. Octa is great for sound design. But always wanted mpc for the workflow. I make a ambient experimental and industrial music with flares of hip Hop.
i have a strong feeling , they're coming out with a new mpc live with a speaker with keys but it aint going to come out til they sell out of all the lives. Just my input from this video Mr. Bolo.
@@magnuseriksson8081 Not at all. If you are brand new, anything will be difficult at first to learn. Having strictly used maschine, when I first got the live 2 there was a learning curve to make. But after about a month it was all muscle memory.
I bought this unit recently as my entrypoint to more advanced gear. Since the MPC workflow is beautiful - touch screen, synths onboard, midi host, possibility of naming abstractions... But the speaker is so extremely trashy... I have a couple of features I would love to see on just software layer instead, that would take advantage to all MPC models. And in comparison to portability of Novation Circuit units that I used before... It's not so portable...
I got the X SE but would never get rid of the Live. Except maybe for a Live II. The Live travels wit me, the X commands the studio. Best of both worlds
You know this got me thinking. They gave the X and One face-lift but they can't with the live it already got the skin and the wifi and other bells. That means their cooking it. There's a rumor about live mini but I also believe live 3 is coming soon after. Its gonna be fire 🔥
Facts! Sonically I think the Mpc 3000 is the crown jewel, but you are correct when you say the Mpc Live 2 is the best Mpc ever made! First Mpc I ever bought. Not interested in anything else!

I totally agree sir. Thats why i have i live 2 connected to my force so i can skip song mode and run my tracks straight through the arranger. It’s almost a perfect machine (needs more ram and possibly better converters, capacitors, and pre amps to be perfect) but perfect is subjective. I have no regrets from my mpc purchase.
My God bro when you're 🎥 filming the selfie piece of the video, I started sweating! I was tripping out heavy thinking your Live 2 had the screen on the left and the pads on the right😮! The damn mirror 🪞 effect was breaking my mind until the video was repeated. Definitely a "me thing," but right now, if It was possible to make changes to the live 2. Probly the first one, of only a handful of things I'd change up on the Live 2 would and be having those note repeat increments on the left of the pad bank, haha. 😅 I'm way too used to the left ring finger slidin' up and down that touch strip on the studio mk2 controller for note repeat increment changes. I'm lacking the muscle memory at the moment to quickly switch between the different latched note repeat time increments. 😂
I love the MPC Live 2, i walk around making beats, portable comeeonn.. the only thing the only thing that’s killing me is these stiff ass pads. Why on earth didn’t they make the Pads like all the past MPCs. My 2000, 2000Xl, Renaissance, and studio all have the same flexible pads. It feels like your hitting a table top. Why on earth did they change the pads? That’s my onnnnnnnnly issue.
Lol meanwhile I'm a mess. I got the One, Live II, X, even the Force. Make a beat then completely forget where I saved it. Live II though. Quickest way to get right to it. Have it fully charged and that's all you need to grab. If you were rushing and forgot something.
Rite on the money,, I love both,, but I give the edge to Key 61 though, mainly because I like the sound better on the key 61, but work flow goes to the live 2, especially the drum pads and note repeat

MPCs are not drum machines. They are sampling work stations.
Mpc Live2 was my first hardware in my production journey and I can say it didn’t disappoint at all! Mpc Live2 is great!

It’s so damn good. Almost perfect. And I’m I used be strictly a maschine guy, since 2011 when I started. The Live 2 can do it all.
