Dude you are literally the only person i have seen on the whole of YT who can actually get this working thank you, really easy to follow and understand this deserves alot more views
OMG thank you so much! I had this counter a while back but the only video I could find was in German. I had somebody help me back then. Much simpler than i remember.
Thank you so much for this video! I really appreciate you being straight to the point and making it very simple for me to create a scoreboard. This is so helpful!
Do you know if I can create two buttons for the same file? Like one to go up and one to go down? Or one button to add and one button to subtract, to speed things up so I don't have to hold the button down. I'm interested in getting a StreamDeck, but this is one of a few different primary functions I'm hoping to achieve. Either way, thank you for such a clear and concise tutorial for this function!
Yes you should be able to. When you make your "ADD" button, set the short press to "add" and direct it toward your text file. Then create a second "SUBTRACT" button, set the short press option to "subtract," and have it reference the same text file. I personally haven't done it that way, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. I'll try it out sometime this week and report back. And remember, you can also use other operators like multiply and divide, and can choose which increment to add/subtract by. So each press could add 5 instead of 1. Whatever number you set it as. It's pretty versatile.
Am gutted that this plugin is now longer available in the Stream Deck store. And installing it manually says it’s not available on my OS (Mac OS Monterey)
I found the counter on stream deck store and got to add it and everything - but even if the source is unlocked, I can't move it on OBS. I can't freely put it where I want it, which is a bummer. I've tried pretty much everything, stretch to screen only put it dead in the center but still unable to place it and resize it. Even when it's highlighted I can't put it where I want it.
It should, yes. When you're setting up the BarRaider: Stream Counter plugin, scroll down to where it says "Calculation Increment," and change the value to .1 or whatever decimal increment you'd like to increase or decrease by. I've never actually tried that, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.
At about 1 minute into the video, I go to the File Name option. The first time you click on it, rather than selecting an existing file, just type the name of what you want it to be called, then click SAVE in the bottom right hand corner. It's a little weird because it looks like every other "open file" option in Windows, but it's actually to create the file. If you look closely at 1:25, you can see that it says SAVE in the bottom right hand corner. It took me a minute to figure it out at first. Not very intuitive. Hope this helps!
when i click the 3 dotted button to create a file name, a new window does not open up for me (not sure if this is a Windows 11 issue or not) any thoughts?
ok, so after uninstalling and re-installing the pluggin, I was finally able to get it to open a windo, however my next problem is that I use X-split and not Stream labs. Is there any support for this plug in on Xsplit?
That's really weird. I haven't heard of anyone having that same issue, but I'm not from UK. I'll keep an eye out and if I find a similar plugin that's available in UK, I'll comment here with the info. Good luck!
Literally set it up midstream in like less than 10 minutes. Thank you ❣️

Really? Wow I had no idea. They must have just removed it. Let me do a little research and see if I can find a suitable replacement.
Thanks David! I saw Elgato have one but didn’t look like it was compatible to writing to file for reading by OBS
super clear ty
amazing thank you so much!
Very informative, thanks for the video! Works perfectly. I use this on my channel. 👍
Awesome! So glad this helped!

Is there a way you know of that would help the blurryness of the counter on stream?
Thank you so much, it works !
Thanks!
Does it work with decimals? I stream while on a treadmill and want to show my treadmill speed.. 😅

Whenever I press the thing it doesn’t go up from within the stream deck. I followed the whole tutorial but it doesn’t seem to work. How do I fix?
Lol got counters for Sea of Thieves I see. Hell yeah man. How long you’ve been on the Seas?
Thx bro
i tried this so many times. but it won't count down or up, when i press add or subtrect . any ides.. ja re installed it twice
how do u get it to count on your stream deck?
The crab lord
Yesssss
Uhhhh mine just has 0... How do you add the name like for deaths or kills?
how does the counter change each one like sloops brigs and gallys?
I made a separate counter command with its own text file for each one. Then just matched the font/color/alignment.
I click read from file and nothing pops up for me. It's a blank text document too.
same
bet thanks
im doing something wrong and idk what it is.
can you show how you originally create the file on your desktop

I can’t sad plug-ins because I’m not signed in
Thanks! But weirdly the plugin doesn't seem to be available in the UK (anyone else having this issue?)

I'm in the UK and I've got it - you're installing it from within Steamdeck, right?

Not much. Just chillin. What app with you?

What doesn't work?
Great help, thanks!
