Here is my rather long video showing Kaizen workable tracks. I have been building these whenever I have some time for a few months and seeing how well I like them. I compare them with Friul, AFV Club and Modelkasten/Rye Field type tracks. I also show how to build them.
At the end I show a few other types of Kaizen tracks that I have like Panther, T-84, T54E1, and various types of Panzer III/IV tracks like Winterketten and Ostkettten.
I really like these, and I think they're a great alternative to Friul for about half of the price.

Cool . . . I got a few sets of these for various tanks a couple years ago 9 (for wicked cheap). Glad you made this review, as I wasn't too sure what to make of them without actually assembling them.

Got a set of these myself. If you use a decent hobby knife you can cut the link and the guide horn insert off the sprues without the need for clean up. I used cutters initially and had the same experience as you. After that they go together really well, its just a matter of getting some momentum going and not looking at how many you have left! Another good thing about this product is the amount you have over when you're done. There's plenty left if you need spare tracks for mounting on other Tigers if you want to replace turret mounted spares provided in other kits.Thanks for a superb video Adam, I bought this product solely on your review - you nailed it mate, much appreciated!

I just finished a whole set of the Kaizen for T1 and also the Rye Field ones and the Kaizen are way more robust; both are really good imho.

I was wondering about the Kaizen tracks, I have done several metal.
But the only issue really is metal tracks for Sherman sag, Sherman's had no sag.
But anyway excellent video
I have used master club resin with pins , no glue requires has some issue , but fit well

Adam, did you have enough leftover tracks to create the spare tracks that hang on each side of the turret for the late/mid model Tiger I tanks?
Great review and so helpful to see the track links side by side.. I have tried Bronco workable track links for my BT-7 and they were not bad.. have also bought some Modelkasten and Fruil.. but these Kaizen links look excellent. However I could not find anyone with them in stock other than a few listings on Evil Bay.. where did you source your Tiger and Panther Kaizen track links?
+Harry Houdini Thanks Harry, I had an awful experience with Brocno tracks for a Panther, but I have some for a Panzer II that seem ok. I plan to just glue them like Magic tracks though. Actually if you saw my Panther in that hsot their are Bronco workables still unpainted on the rear as spares. The way I've gotten these is either ebay, a very good seller called dogdogcome, problem with that is you end up paying about $26 US for a set due to shipping. Although $6 shipping isn't bad. I have spoken with the guy who made them a number of times, and he suggests SIncereHobby.com based in HK or HQhobbies.com based in the US. Suppose I should have said that in the video.
Thanks.. Hong Kong stuff usually gets here faster and is cheaper postage for me in Australia.. Have an Academy Tiger which is a nice kit, except for the rubber band tracks.. I'll try to get some Kaizens for it
what clippers do you use?
You should try the Masterclub. More accurat as you get two different strutts. One bolt and one pinhead. Like Friulmodel, they are made of whitemetal.

great as always adam, to shorten the steps could you just put the wire through and snip both ends, cutting the bolt head out of the equation? or would it look to bad.

Have you ever tried any of the Master Club resin workable tracks yet? I just picked up a set for my Panther A a couple of weeks ago at the national AMPS show. They look great, and I've snapped a few together, but have yet to fully assemble any with the pins yet. I've seen Master Club white metal workable tracks as well but I've avoided them as well as Friuls because of the cost so far. Maybe some day when I have a really special build I'll spring for the $ and buy myself a set.
+beuford1982 I plan to get a set of resin and metal Masterclub and test them out. Haven't yet just due to time. My friend Hamilkar Barkas has done their metal ones and seems to like them very much.
Adam, great vid. I have a question about Fuiulmodel tracks - which tracks should I get for cyber hobby model 6286, the Initial DAK model? Would it be the ATL-116 "mirror" tracks for initial or the ATL-25 for "early" production. Thanks!
Just the early ones for a Tunisian Tiger. The only mirror tracks were used in the Leningrad area or in Germany on prototypes.

Kaizen Panzer III/IV would work, and I get them usually from ebay honestly. You're only other decent option is Friul, which are about twice as much.

Those look pretty good! I'll need some for my Tiger cause it's got those BS tracks. I've never tried metal ones either so I might go with Friuls

Great topic, thanks for doing this video and actually showing the steps. Have to admit it looks time consuming and fiddly as you say. The extra $20 for friulmodel tracks is hard to quickly dismiss.

+Adam Mann I agree with you on the price. At a certain point, a hobby has to be cost effective. Speaking of which, I have a question which falls under your area of expertise Adam. I have many leftover Tiger I part from when I first started building. Naturally, they have been taken apart. Can you get things like hatch covers (small detail parts, side fenders, whole suspensions and other parts for detailing aftermarket. Their are a number of models parts I have as main sections, turrets and hulls. But I'm missing key pieces to make a model out of them again. Thanks for your consideration on the matter. Of course, you have shown there are a number of different track options...!

Certain thing are made in aftermarket for sure. But I'm not sure you can source everything. Normally I would suggest a Dragon Tiger kit for such things as they come with many spares of everything except the main assemblies. Which company Tigers do you have kits from?
Hi Adam would love to try these tracks but having a hard time finding them ie panzer /stug 3/4 everywhere I look they are sold out.

Hi Adam I was able to score some Kaizen tracks found a seller from Hong Kong on EBay.
I looked online I can't find where they're sold. Did the company go out of business the one site that hadam they're all sold out

I think so. I really love the metal pins that friction fit. Stuff like Panzer III/IV that require no assembly are amazing.
@@AdamMann3D thank Adam, also, did you know any sprocket fitting issue about this track, or Rye Field or AFV with Academy Tiger I kit ?, i just not able to find any review about them on scalemate on this issue
Even real tracks are stiff when there isn't weight on them, if a vehicle breaks track or a track link is removed, the ends will spring up and try to straighten out.
Your fish tank pump is becoming the most noticeable thing in your videos ;)
never used workable tracks yet, they all look a little finicky as you would say but not as scary as I thought thanks to the great video.

I just looked these up online at SincereHobby and WOW $135.00 for a set of workable tracks. There even $90.00 on Amazon. maybe I'm looking at the wrong ones. I was interested until I realized that replacing the rubber band tracks is going to cost twice as much s the model itself.

IF you look at my channel banner on the main page that is a 3DS Max model of a Tiger I started. It's in progress as I want to do a big video where I show every configuration change on Tiger I. So it has to be very accurate and have lots of layers showing the different parts. Just been too busy to work on it.
