We don't want these videos to come across as us highlighting any specific brands or models in a negative way, but rather to put the focus on our product and how well it compares to various types of machines on specific tasks. Category comparisons, if you will. Our hope is that by doing this, it will help those who are unfamiliar with Ventrac understand how capable of a machine we are.
@@aaronsmith9359 It is more worth it to go fast and make a minor repair for contractors. Most contractors would also have the utilities marked. A faster machine puts more money in your pocket because you can get on to the next job.
The best part with the Ventrac is when you are done you can easily fill in the trench with the blade. Most Ventrac dealers rent the attachments. I have used the trencher before, They work really well.
I really enjoy these comparisons, but I would love to see long demonstration videos on here too. For example a 15+ minute video for a specific attachment, highlighting all kinds of things it can do and how.
if you guys can do a finish mowing comparison between a zero turn and a ventrac with the same size deck I would be happy to see the results. maybe even a diesel zero turn? just to even things out. I like you style of commercials, simple and straightforward, but still showing how well the equipment performs. keep up the good videos.
John Salazar John Salazar grasshopper aeravators also vibrate. It's an aeravator. Not a plugger. We have 3 of them. I would like to see a comparison on the speed and flexibility. Meaning where will the ventrac go vs where will the grasshopper go. I do think the ventrac is superior but I'd like to see the difference on video. We will own a ventrac one day 😎
I'd love to see more comparison videos. I'd love to see the Lastec deck!!! I'd also love to see a really nice wood chipper comparison. Maybe the wood chipper attached to the collection system.
As the comparison of a ventrac to a mini-skid steer both with the trenching attachments when experienced operators were placed on both machines while instructed to operate them to the full potential while being asked to dig a 5-1/2" by 36" trench for 100 feet. By the time the mini-skid steer was halfway through the task the operator of the ventrac was already done and switched to a blade to backfill the trench.
I’m intrigued. I would say one looked like it was digging much deeper although video claimed it was same depth. Interesting none the less. I own neither but wanting to buy one so I’d love to see in person
As I think the ventrac is probably the better machine, I have a question. 3:27 highlights my question perfectly. The mini skid steer has a blank link on the chain between teeth and the ventrac has a tooth on each link. The ventrac will absolutely move more earth because of this. If this is the recommend set up of the mini, then the ventrac is obviously better because it will drive a full chain.
The ventrac trencher comes with a combo chain only. The mini skid has options for a rock chain, but we were using their dirt chain option. With fewer links and optimized for dirt, theoretically the mini skid should be a better chain for the conditions in this video (good dirt, no rocks, average moisture). Also, with less teeth, there should be less dirt moving but that also means the trencher is putting less load on the machine and should result in the ability to go faster in relation. It all evens out.
Good comparison except for the chain. This is frustrating when companies do this to make their product look so much better. The ventrac is a combo chain with shark teeth and dirt cups the other only has the dirt cups. The correct chain makes a world of difference when trenching. I believe the Ventrac would still win but would expect it to be a little closer with the same chains on each. Come on guys!
While I don't have a direct comparison, I do have a HIGH need for something which will mow as well as an attachment which will mow under a 4 board horse fence and around the posts. If you have an attachment or can show that some of the available attachments (primarily from Europe as far as I can tell ie Duecker) I'd be very interested in this machine. I like the versatility, but I have a major need, at which my purchase must excel. The cleaner the mow/trim around the post, the better, as there are many relatively inexpensive but poor cut quality, attachments already available. I think if you looked into this need, and designed a very good quality cutting attachment, you would have a whole new group of people (horse farm owners) who would be interested in your product. I know it would be enough for me to pull the trigger on this machine.
Check out our new Boom Mower. It doesn't wrap around the post so it won't cut the back side of the post, but it will cut underneath and in front very efficiently. It maintains it's cutting angle relative to the ground automatically, so it is a very easy single-lever adjustment to move it in and out from under the fence as you drive forward.
I've seen that attachment. It has it's positive aspects. However, something specifically for cutting around fence posts as well as under the bottom rail, is what I need.
I have a few small streams in the back acreage, the smallest being a couple feet wide to the biggest being 4 or 5 ft, from bank to bank, i would like to clean them up: the banks and bottoms, the only solution I or others have come up with is a backhoe, does Ventrac have a tool that will do the job?

For those of you asking why the skidsteear is blurred it's because they don't have marketing rights to show the skidstears brand name so for legal protection against lawsuits they blur out the brand names on the equipment 🤦♂️
Thanks for the comment. And this is true. The Ventrac is an awesome machine for a lot of tasks. It's definitely not for everything....sometimes you just need a bulldozer, or a crane, or a combine.... but sometimes, you just need a Ventrac!
Give it some angle both ways. We have trails. But need to trim above a roadway and below in areas. Also down in creek banks that cannot be driven over with the tough cut. Then your tractor could do it all!
We used to offer one. For whatever reason, it wasn't very popular. We have considered bringing another one out at some point but haven't committed to anything yet.
yall need to make some stuff for hay. just saying that is all that is keeping me from getting one. yall get that made and ill get everyone i can to get ventrac
I could care less about either brand but trenching with different chains ( half the teeth on the mini skid steer) makes a huge difference. Sad comparison, maybe some home owner would fall for this but no one who has ever run equipment for a living.
The chain on the mini skid happens to be the most common one they offer. We only offer one chain. The additional teeth that you see on ours compared to the mini skid are rock teeth, which had no advantage for this test since we were in good quality soil. If anything, in this application, more teeth only make it harder for the engine to keep up. That being said, we're not sure the mini skid could even handle any more teeth than what it had! It had a hard enough time keeping up as is.
This is great and all but I want to be able to go to the rental store and rent a harley rake as I don't use it enough to justify purchasing one, it looks as though all your attachments are specialty ones (only fit Ventrac.) so I guess I'll stick with my zero turn lawn mower and small skid steer loader.
Good point. Definitely check with your local Ventrac dealers. Many of them will rent attachments, especially if you've purchased the machine from them and have a good relationship with the dealer.
Yeah the comparison videos are great. They allow Ventrac to set themselves apart (or ahead) from other equipment. However, one place the Ventrac is going to do poorly is stump grinding. The max cutting depth of the Ventrac is not even half a foot. Therefore, you are no where close to deep enough to plant grass. Improve on that and you will have a machine that will be difficult for me to resist. Even though it already is sort of that way lol.
Hmmm... That's an interesting observation. We've never had a problem after grinding a stump out where we couldn't get grass to grow easily after adding back in top soil level with the grade. Has your experience differed from this?
Honestly, I cannot say. We have always gone to a depth of at least 8" and that honestly does not seem that deep. I was told that 8" was the minimum if you wanted grass to grow. However, I guess I cannot say it would not work.
Well, ours is rated at 6" and we've never had a problem. In use, it probably goes a little deeper than that, but you can consistently get at least 6" so that's what is on the spec sheet.
Hey Weston... we let our dealer network answer pricing questions and set up demos. To find your nearest dealer you can use our locator on the website at www.ventrac.com/dealers ...they will be able to get you all the info you need!
Joey Guerrera says the one who has probably never run any piece of machinery bigger than a craftsman lawn tractor. I’ve never even ran a ventrac but the videos speak for themselves.. why don’t you go be a keyboard warrior somewhere else.
We have 4 different engine options including a Vanguard (31hp), Kawasaki(31hp), and gas or diesel Kubotas. The diesel Kubota is 25hp and the gas Kubota is 32.5hp.
I still don’t get it. Your videos seem to be only based on speed. I do however like the ventrac but make the comparison more about the machines and how they physically operate
why is this skidsteer blurred?

Ventrac slow the better if you go quick you might hit something and can not stop in time
It was a toro
Mike Toye TORO Dingo is RED and the TORO has triangular tracks

love the idea

Thanks for the comments! We'll keep the zero turn idea in mind.
I'd love to see your aeravator vs the Grasshopper aeravator and tractor mounted aeravators.
The grasshopper vibrates the tines which does a better job at loosening the soil. Don't think it would be a comparison they would want to show.
John Salazar ventrac makes both vibrating and regular plug and pull
John Salazar John Salazar grasshopper aeravators also vibrate. It's an aeravator. Not a plugger. We have 3 of them. I would like to see a comparison on the speed and flexibility. damn that looks nice, I remember hand digging trenches to install french pipes aka weeping tile.

Take a Ventrac vs a Ditch Witch ride on model trencher. But disregard the hp and go by chain speed.

Love the comparisons! Maybe one like move a truck load of dirt each ventral vs mini skid steer?
try mowing comparison between Flail mower vs Brush mower, and standard lawn tractor vs ventrac
2:03 look at the ground and notice how there is no hole, just dirt piled up. Busted!
Dude you got it
Are you stupid?? There is a hole but the grass covered it up stupid
I’m intrigued. I would say one looked like it was digging much deeper although video claimed it was same depth. Interesting none the less. I own neither but wanting to buy one so I’d love to see in person
walker mower vs ventrac mower who will come on top?
bonus to a skid steer since you can put different attachments!
With all these comparison/verses videos there are pros and cons for both. But I would probably chose the Ventrac though.

Can you compare it to a Saturn 5 rocket?
Lets see, 35 house power (on most powerful motor) vs. over a million pounds of thrust on launch.
you should do a comparison of a ventrac vs a toro dingo for moving and planting small trees
bullseye lawn care that was a toro

you should do a finish mower compared to other finish mower. good videos
U guys should compare it to a exmakr zero turn on a huge lawn plus small spot whitch tight corners
Can you compare the ventrac brush mower against others ?
I enjoy the comparison videos. Compare stump grinders.
Is ventrac going to create a mini excavator attachment?
Considering buying a Ventrac, price is a factor, but with an excavator attach. no hesitation I would buy today.
@@JohnDoe-xo9so that would be an expensive pain in the ass to hook up for sub par performance that could only get you out of a tight.

you can see the prose's of the digging is rigged at 2:03 in the video
It was definitely not rigged. Both operators ran the machines at full capacity the entire time.

Thank you! We think so, too!
Can you do vantrac vs lawn mower
Fran Cisco boy ya
Why is the other one blurred?
Edit:nvm
I would like to see, ventrac 4500 with a powerrake vs a harley powerrake on a CAT 259 or simular machine
Why is the Skid steer blurred out?
can you put a wineyard sprinkler on it???

Stump grinding, pulling and Towing power and torque, digging with backhoe

more comparison vids love them!!

Ventrac mowing vs craftsman? 5 feet of grass or 4 feet
yes ventrac can by beter in your complication but skid steer can load hight en vantrac not + skid steer can have more attacments in a faster time
what size of slope can it handle?
