Husna Bano with the reverse creaming method you have to use cake flour, or it could turn out with a cornbread-like consistency. If you’re in the UK try searching for shipton mills soft cake and pastry flour, or any flour that has a protein level of 9% or less.

I've been a professional cake decorator for almost 20 years and I have always struggled with finding a scratch vanilla cake that actually tastes good. Let me tell ya, I made this cake yesterday and wow. It is fantastic. It's light and buttery but holds it's shape well for decorating and carving. Alas! I've found my go to vanilla recipe! A million thanks to you Liz! You're not only talented and informative, but so fun to watch! Love your channel and everything you make! Cheers fellow cake decorators (and eaters)😂🙏🧁🎂🍰

Just like to know, did you use 3 eggs or 5 eggs? Because in the description, it says 3 eggs. And in the video, it showed 5. So I'm a little confused, is it 3 or 5 eggs

This is my favorite vanilla cake! I use this technique for all of my vanilla cakes that I sell. So I have to tell you that I turned into a strawberry cake by replacing an ounce of cake flour with freeze dries strawberries that have been finely grounded. I also replace half of the vanilla with strawberry emulsion. It’s actually really good and I’ve had a lot of good feedback.

I made this today. I have to say that I have tried many vanilla/yellow cake recipes. This cake is fluffy AND moist and holds up to frosting. Also, make sure you SIFT the ingredients for a better crumb.. I mixed ALL of the wet ingredients and used an immersion blender to smooth out the ingredients. I then slowly mixed he liquid with the dry ingredients that had been reverse mixed. This is the best recipe I have ever made!

Here is the cake batter on cups
(13 ounce) 368 grams of cake flour = 1.56 cups of flour.
Maybe add 1 and a half cup of the cake flour or you could add 2 cups of cake flour.
(13 ounces ) 368 grams of granulated sugar = 1.56 cups of sugar.
You can add 2 cups of sugar or 1 and a half cup of sugar.
14 grams of baking powder = 3 tablespoons of baking powder
    1/4 teaspoons of baking sofa
1/2 teaspoons of salt to taste
(8 ounces ) 227 grams of unsalted butter = 2/3 cups of butter
    1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
(10 ounces ) 283 grams of whole milk = 1 and a half cup of whole milk
(3 ounces) 85 grams of vegetable oil = 3/4 cups of vegetable oil
    3 large egg
    I’m glad I helped you

I have tried this cake recipe today and yes! THIS. IS. IT. Thank you so much for sharing this amazing recipe, I am very please with the final outcome. Alot of white vanilla cake recipes out there are either too eggy (because of the excessive egg whites), or too chiffon (soft but has a dryness and spongeyness). But this cake is so soft, fluffy but has very good structural integrity without compromising it's moisture levels. It's almost velvety in texture and has a fine crumb. I used clear vanilla and it remained white. The outer layer does brown rather quickly, so it is necessary to shave the outer "skin". But if anyone doesn't mind the "skin", it is equally good. It rose a dome after baking, but it flattens after it was cooled completely and didn't sunk. Very good recipe!!!!!!!

It's either you people trolling or just have no talent or patient to work with this recipe.
Mine came out as the most soft and very leveled cake I ever made. Not only soft, it was so fluffy too.
Since I was making only two layered 6 inch cake, so I measured every ingredients by half, like she said you don't want to use cup measuring at all but by scale. So if yours came out differently then you must have scaled your ingredients the wrong way.

    Hey Liz.....
I tried this cake today with all purpose flour....
I can't stop thinking about you, looking at the end result....thank you for such an amazing recepi...the cake turned out very moist....zero crumbles....
I started home baking last year and have learnt carrot, banana whole wheat cakes preety well..
Tried vanilla once before the results were ok.
My 8 year old loves baking too...so for us it's mumma daughter fun time....and kiddo decided that she wanted to bake a 2 layered heart shaped vanilla cake for my bday tomorrow..I was like oh God! plz plz give me a perfect recepi...and I bumped on this video.
This result is really good, much better than I expected. Only if cracked on top...I learnt there were few air bubbled left...plz let me know what else can be the reason.
PS...I have one heart shaped tin, second one I converted my square baking tin into heart shaped using aluminium foil.
thank you once again!! Love Ritu

I know!! Right!! I'm a hairstylist and use the color wheel a lot when doing people's color. When you bleach someone's hair out and it has a yellow tint, you apply a purple toner on their to neutralize the yellow. I never would have thought to do that with icing!! So cool!!

I'm actually scared of putting in the purple coloring so I just accept the fate that my buttercream is not completely white. But I'm fine with it coz I tend to mess up with these coloring like I always tend to put in too much everytime.
