Welcome back to the Tuning Fork Academy! Today's lesson: Launch Control. This is going to be quite tech heavy so sit back, pour yourself a cup of your favourite beverage and soak in the knowledge:)
I think you should all get together and write a book on this and all the other strategies you have been laying out in the video series. A hard copy reference could really be invaluable for set up and really learning the fastest way around the track or 1/4 mile.
Luv my 2step. 2500 elite 5500rpm -20 degrees and a little extra fuel and it builds boost so quickly while cylinder temps sit around 700 degrees. motor barks so well on these settings for a full exhaust setup.
how can you turn an older automatic car to having launch control? hit the brake, floor the gas, then let go the brake. how is this process different than putting the car in neutral, reving to 4500 rpms, then shifting into drive? what is the process that's different from these two?
The process you've described is "launch" not "launch control". What we are talking about here are all the things that go on between the ECU and the engine/trans that help you launch faster and more consistently. When fractions of a second decide the winner at the end of the run every little bit matters.
Scotty sneaking that DSM in the thumbnail, but not in the video. Had the opportunity to meet Devin and poke around the Red Demon at his shop last year. There’s a lot of really neat work on that car and he does use nitrous to spool that monster turbo.
Launch control asosan kotta rpmda gildirak aylanib ketmasdan koproq traction bolishi uchun kuchni taqsimlab beradigan narsa. Gentrada ozi 105 ta ot kuchi bolsa gazni ohirigacha bossangizham gildirak ayalnib ketmidi.
You can set up a basic launch control function on a 750. You just need to use an in input and output for a function you're not currently using to have a rev limit actuated by a momentary switch

Good job Scott. You are an asset to Haltec.
I'm not to tech savvy when it comes to certain functions and different ideas or concepts... I have no idea what he was talking about 😅😅😃
Tuning Fork is, in my opinion, the most watchable of all the guys on this channel.
nah, richard is
Man these videos are just so awesome, wish there were more
Plenty more on this channel - go to the "Technically Speaking" playlist.
Thanks for a lovely explanation. Enjoyed learning about and how launch control works.

Exactly what I needed to know!

Stellar content guys! Stellar content!
I was hoping they had a button for the launch control. It is very interesting stuff tho.
Nice and clear, cheers Scott.
Is traction control deactivated when launch control is enabled? Will a car slip a lot when launching in a normal road with normal weather?
Can I install launch control with stock engine?
What about NLTS and rolling antilag arent they some kind of rev limit too? Or is a completely different thing?

@@haltech okay can you install launch on an older automatic? I was thinking of getting an auto eclipse gsx but it doesn't have launch
@Rdawg launch is a procedure that involves the steps you mentioned. Launch control is software in the ECU, which the factory ECU does not have.
Does retarted Ignition acutally hurt stock Valves or Turbos?

Wish I had launch control but I’ve only got a elite 750 . Thanks to the sales guy at haltech pointing me in the wrong direction

Legit thought you had new presenter for moment hahaha the no glasses threw me
Wtf kinda explanation was that
Type shii
Compare that degree of complexity to that of an electric vehicle launch control strategy.
Witch of your ECUs have this option?
All two-connector Elite ECUs, so E1000, 2000, 1500, 2500 plus VMS.
Thanks guys!
Hi there 🤷♂️
rolling anti lag details please
Where are your Glasses?!?!?
all will be explained soon....
Is it just me, or does Scott look thinner and 'buff'er?
@@mattjohns3394 I think they just didn't bother to raise the camera enough for his video.
I, a dumbass, was in neutral when first using launch control in my Viper.
What happen to your barra
Working on the final episode right now.
Bro I don't even have a car

Sorry, can you elaborate?
