7-month-old video but it's the second video of yours I've seen. I just watched how the burble tune works and wanted to watch another video of yours. Good video. Commenting helps you so I'm doing my part. I do want to point out that on some engine designs while oil is flowing immediately full oil flow over all the components and parts doesn't really happen until after it runs for a short period of timing idle. Not long but if you just start the car and drive it's not ideal. Especially if it's actually cold out but it doesn't really matter about the temperature. For me I always start the car put the seat belt on do whatever the stuff I have to do is, put my phone down or whatever... And then I put it in reverse if I'm in my driveway. And I just pause for 5 seconds or so. Not super long but enough that the automatic transmission (If you're driving scum like automatics) get the chance to pump everything through and the oil in the engine gets that much longer to get around before I take my foot off the brake and drive quietly out of the neighborhood. And by the time I leave the neighborhood I'll just romp on it because it'll be warmed up by then. Lil
You explained very thoroughly about what it is and how it works for launch control but I figured you’d have delved more into the drift scene and how guys use a 2 step for throttle control when sliding. 2 step launching in manual cars is actually kinda tough and not as simple as tuning in a 2 step and having a perfect launch. Otherwise every drag racer would use them 😎

Just tested this on my 150cc motorcycle, and it works like a charm, I'm using fuel and spark cut method just to be on the safe side, although I don't know how safe it is since it can become very lean due less fuel.
I think the 2step tuned with spark cut only is also known as anti-lag. Some don't even call it 2 step. It's treated as something completely different because of the difference in the tune, damage it can cause, etc.
Anti-lag is something completely different, where fuel is injected (sometimes directly into the turbo inlet) to ignite and keep the exhaust turbine spinning. It's almost the reverse of a two step, which just limits the engine revs.

Thanks man, glad you like it. To answer the question, yes you can have it in any car with any transmission, the way you trigger it could be a state (when stationery in Neutral) or even a button, every car is going to be different and every tuner does it differently.
Which tune do you recommend getting? I also have an automatic civic, my car makes the burbles in sport mode when I use manual shifters, however they are not that loud. Thanks for clearing up that whole school of thought about how people think anti lag and launch control are the same thing. I was trying to explain it to a guy that had a G Modeled Infiniti once a little while back. That poor clapped out car had these annoying shitty sounding pops and half assed flames coming out. He would not admit that he was wrong and that he didn't know jack about shit nor the "why" his car did what it was doing or even the "how" on what it takes to make a car do certain things. He kept going on about just cause I had a BMW F30 and could afford to put some wrench time into it that It didn't mean I knew what was under my hood just cause I paid for it 😂. I think he was just embarrassed cause at the stop light I had tried to get passed the intersection but the yellow light really quickly turned red and I could not make it. So I had to come to a fast stop and to do so I used my engine and down shifting to help slow down my car faster and that resulted in my car to Pop and gurgle a little to loud. He must have thought that I was trying to show off so he started revving his Infiniti to show me up (I'm not going to lie that Infiniti did sound super crazy loud) But it also just sounded like raspy metal and like his car was suffocating trying to get all those fumes out of the exhaust. So naturally at the green light We both.. Well in all honesty I launched out of there and although his car sounded like it should have been going fast it was barely crawling..😂😅 I slowed down enough to make sure that I'd see him at the next light. So dude pulls up talking about how his "anti lag" was making his car run too rich. So I said ,"ya you think?" I tried to explain to him that ya while he was making his car sound loud, That it was also that same reason for why his car was so slow. I tried explaining to him that those big loud pops were the result from his car detonating the fuel all wrong, And that it was causing all that loss of power. He kept acting like he knew what I was talking about and that he could 100% assure me that it was his antilag and that he just needed to get a new tune. So imagine my face when he pulls up to the same gas station I'm at... Comes up to me and starts telling me how he was going to "Splurge" on the expensive gas how I was and that by doing so; That would even us out.. 😂 I almost started crying from laughing so hard. Since I could tell that he was getting all up in his feelings about me laughing I decided to try and help him. I was also curious about how his car could have still been such a shit box. You know..? Even with it being all "Turboed and tuned" how he had claimed. So I asked him if I could see his turbo set up and if he purchased it on eBay? Bro.... He gets all high pitched and squeaky telling me that just cause my car was boosted. That It didn't give me the right to be a dick and that even if his car wasn't Turboed that the 93 octane gas was going to equalize our cars... I was so confused 🤔😕. Cause remember? He had been the one talking about how his antilag just needed to be recalibrated or whatever.. So In my confused state I didn't know what part to call him out on first.. I started explaining that #1 Idk what he's been going on about then. Because to begin with his car couldn't have anti lag if it wasn't boosted & That #2 That I was sorry for having to burst his 2step bubbly ass, But that if anything the 93octane was just going to cause his shit box to run even slower because of the higher grade in octane would just cause his engines detonation to be bigger therefore causing his car to lose more power.. He wasn't having none of it he told me that I was trying to talk him out of running against me again and That just cause I can afford to upgrade my car that it didn't mean that I knew how any of it worked. So I said fine but if I was going to waste my time running with him again that I wanted to do it for money. He agreed and we went again.... And I was right..and I won.. But when he pulled up to me I was laughing so hard. I tried to tell him to keep his money. but he wasn't trying to listen to me and just threw it at me from his window. I'll tell you what tho.. You just earned a new subscriber today👍🏼 I've got a beautiful Nissan, a s14A1 with all it's original SR20DET engine and parts (in fact I am restoring it as new) except for the exhaust, I gift him a 3,0" Duramás Line from the dowpipe to the end except for the rear muffler wich is a Mongoose one. It makes pops and bangs just right as it is👍🏼 no flames, just pure ecu cutting the fuel and spark. Btw it just has 55.000km (not miles) so it is pretty uncommon😅 all you can see these days are tuned up to the ass s14-s13 240sx, as you want to name it... They are fun, but they usually have a very brief life...😅 Props from Spain.
And also add that the n2mb wotbox was THE BEST 200 bucks i have ever spent on a mod for any vehicle ive owned, the no lift shift along with the 2 step launch control was simply amazing, and the icing on the cake was it would shoot flames out of both exhaust tips.... 😍😍💨💥🔥
I don’t know if this is considered two step, When in neutral the car will rev and stay revved at redline, but if the car is in gear and you push the clutch in, rev to redline and keep the throttle at 100%. It will slowly come down to 4k and stay, that’s the peak torque range for my motor, the Ecu seems to be very good at keeping traction at that rpm. I’ve never thought of it as two step considering it’s an economy car.
I want to have a red button that changes the ECU setting and while I hold the button it does spark cut only so I can do the occasional flex at a traffic light but I don't risk blowing my exhaust daily every single time I rev up :D

What one is more safe for you engine/not course problems in the future for your engine (non turbo) Fuel cut,fuel cut and spark cut or spark cut ? Love the video💪🏽
Two step is indeed bad for your vehicle. Cutting timing and allowing your vehicle to bang off the rev limiter puts where on the internal components especially your oil pump sprocket or gear. This is why they go to modification for people running two step is a Billet pump gear. Other than that your explanation is decent and covers the basics.
If it retards the timing but not the fuel it is as much an anti lag system as it is a launch control. Especially it the ignition happens in the exhaust system before the turbo.

I've got a beautiful Nissan, a s14A1 with all it's original SR20DET engine and parts (in fact I am restoring it as new) except for the exhaust, I gift him a 3,0" Duramás Line from the dowpipe to the end except for the rear muffler wich is a Mongoose one. It makes pops and bangs just right as it is👍🏼 no flames, just pure ecu cutting the fuel and spark. Btw it just has 55.000km (not miles) so it is pretty uncommon😅
all you can see these days are tuned up to the ass s14-s13 240sx, as you want to name it... They are fun, but they usually have a very brief life...😅

I don’t know if this is considered two step, When in neutral the car will rev and stay revved at redline, but if the car is in gear and you push the clutch in, rev to redline and keep the throttle at 100%. It will slowly come down to 4k and stay, that’s the peak torque range for my motor, the Ecu seems to be very good at keeping traction at that rpm. I’ve never thought of it as two step considering it’s an economy car.

I want to have a red button that changes the ECU setting and while I hold the button it does spark cut only so I can do the occasional flex at a traffic light but I don't risk blowing my exhaust daily every single time I rev up :D

Two step is indeed bad for your vehicle. Cutting timing and allowing your vehicle to bang off the rev limiter puts where on the internal components especially your oil pump sprocket or gear. This is why they go to modification for people running two step is a Billet pump gear. Other than that your explanation is decent and covers the basics.

If it retards the timing but not the fuel it is as much an anti lag system as it is a launch control. Especially it the ignition happens in the exhaust system before the turbo.
