Bear definitely wasn't prepared for the Oilers playoff games he was in. Worst player on the ice. He looked like an amateur....now he's acting like one
Yeah he was horrible in that play in series against Chicago
Yeah but how’s nurse slew foots and temper tantrums? He sure as hell ain’t getting better in the post season bear is better than most your d core buddy what a laughing stock when I read what you wrote
@Atalus Gaming lol better than most our d core? The guy who scored 14 points last year 😂😂😂
Toews made him look like he back in pee-wee standing still. Honestly though, what was tippet doing giving the kid that assignment. He was traumatized by it, never was the same after. You can still the reflection Toews in his eye from when he got walked around like a pilon.
@@matthewbarry7026 I thought he was ready as well. Nope. He got exposed. Had high hopes for Bear but he sucks at defensive and is to slow to compensate for his lack of size.
Bear: the defensive zone turnover King in important elimination games.
Pretty sure that's Darnell Nurse
@@Imnotactuallyadrinker Didn't McDavid do the same in the playoffs?
I like Ethan Bear and hope the best for him, but, Oilers made it to the western conference finals last season without him. I'd say the Oilers are doing fine.
Bear has been awesome in Vancouver, happy to have him.
I liked him when he was in Edmonton and as an Oilers fan, I think his comment in the video was fair. I think Carolina looks like they are far more prepared for games than the Oilers have in the last few years. Even if he said it out anger for Edmonton, which I don't think he did, he has a right to be angry at the people of Edmonton for how a lot of people treated him and were racist towards him. No one should have to tolerate what he had to deal with.
I wish him the best in Vancouver and I hope he does very well for you guys.
@@elyssia-paris3064 Finally someone with some sense
Most of Edmonton embraced him. There's bad seeds everywhere.
@Elyssia-Paris funny....I live in edmonton and I was never racist towards bear....so I guess it's fair to just generalize the entire city like that? Funny how he doesn't appreciate when people generalize his culture but it is ok when he does? #clownculture
@@everettwells3812 Wait, when I did say you personally were racist towards Bear? I don't think I've ever talked to you. In fact I don't think I know you at all. Oh...wait I see what happened, I wasn't there when they changed the meaning of "a lot" to mean "everyone". Clearly by saying "A LOT" I generalized an entire group of people including myself by saying "A LOT"...did I mention yet that I used the words "A LOT" yet...I think I have to make sure I really put emphasis on the fact that I used the words "A LOT" because since you already missed the part in my first statement where I used the words "A LOT" and not "EVERYONE", I have reason to believe that you will once again miss what was actually said and either make something up. I mean you are either going out of your way to make something up to be mad about, or you have a very low reading level. By the way, I said "A LOT" and not "EVERYONE".
Said from a guy who was basically shipped off from the Canes for bad work ethic & fitness
Exact same reason edmonton got rid of him 😂
“It’S rAcIsIm”
@@ML-my8qq
Lol
All of the above
he's not wrong, Carolina is better than Edmonton statistically in terms of the game consistency everyone sees on ice, yet his analysis of why that seemed is obviously quite a vague comparison... ofc everyone will say that their work ethic is good but that's not guaranteed like life itself, especially at nhl level playing smart is what actually the thing translating to winning more games, I think he should not be calling out Edmonton as doing things like lazy but basically...less smart/ more stupid? XD
@@ML-my8qq stfu with that shit
We don't miss ya in Edmonton bud lol.
He was one of my favorite players when he played in Seattle, and Bakersfield, but was really over his head when Tippet played in too high up. That said, he wasn't part of the solution, and that showed clearly when he played in CAR.
Well I’ll agree with him that rod brind’amour is probably the best coach in the nhl. But this shit means absolutely nothing coming from a guy who was healthy scratched on said team lmao.
It's Night and Day what a player can learn from Press Box.
... says the guy that showed up out-of-shape to almost every single training camp.
Saskatchewan guy ? I thought Western prairie kids were tougher then that . and being first nations tougher is an understatement as our people would say
This is the oil patch not the flower patch . .Butter Cup.
There are very few small men that can play when the playoffs come to town.
Did McDavid not have this guy shipped out of Edmonton after that horrendous giveaway in the playoffs?
If that's true Bouchard should keep his bags packed
Bear had also been an Oiler for far longer than he had been a Canuck at this point. 🤷♂️
He didn’t play a single minute in the playoffs with the hurricanes he was terrible with the oilers and now he thinks the canucks are good and 2 percent chance of getting in the playoffs
0.1% chance of winning with the Oilers
I think most people who pay close enough attention to the Oilers can agree that was a Tippett issue
Yeah it was but at the same time he was never that good
Ethan Can't Bear To Work Hard
Why he can’t work hard?
@@coolvic282002 comes to camp out of shape
lol!!
Boy, did McDangit not appreciate those comments. 🤣
Good for Ethan.
That’s not part of reconciliation.
Miss you 😁🇨🇦
Not Bears fault that he was put in a no win position. A raw rookie expected to stop the best forwards on Earth, when there were far more experienced D in the lineup that Tippet decided not to use. I warned of that PRIOR to the playoffs that year. Of course he couldn't do that. Unless your names Bobby Orr, neither can you. That being said, what he said here was not at all wise.
Well he was playing good hockey. If he was playing that good but kept on the 3rd pair then you Bear sympathizer’s would be complaining about that.
Truth is, he started out fantastic and faded quick. Edmonton gave him a good shot and he was bad for longer stretches than he was good. Shit happens when you’re a shitty team.
He played well enough for a NHL spot. He just didn't wanna work any harder. It's the same with JP. Great junior player then he played a year in a lesser league killed it came back and had no ethic
Could show up in shape
Well compare Vancouver and Edmonton then Bear boy
Makes sense, Dave tippet had a decent system but was lazy asf.
He never experienced the WOODcroft.
He played under Woodcroft in Bakersfield
Edmonton threw him under the bus. It's a team game. Put a rookie in to defend the best in the world. Learning experience
He was put into that position to value his worth not thrown under the bus. Just like in the real world,if you can’t perform your duties, you’re shipped somewhere else
Giving someone a chance and throwing someone under the bus are two entirely different things
@@foreman_spike look at dehaeneh
So happy he was traded, he is a good fit for Vancouver lmfao
This is the reason the Canucks brought in RT. He was a hard player, I hope he can get another level of tough grittiness out of the team. Boudreau, gotta love him but was never a hard player. Rick is Cut like he was chiseled from granite, his 6 pack has 6 packs.
Why are people salty over him not being good enough to stay in a lineup? He’s not saying anything wrong, Carolina’s system is 100x better than Edmonton’s, and that may be understating it a little
Class act. Smh
He wasn't prepared when he was on the Oilers...or Hurricanes...or Canucks for that matter. Only reason he is in the league is because he is on the Canucks, and they don't have much for defense
My pet gerbil died
never woodcroft for him
Look at Connor McDork
Does bear even play anymore? Or does he just play his white card
I guess Edmonton won that trade lol
huh?
Keep up the hard work bear
Take back haha
Watching that game, mcdavid was manhandled and stripped of the puck, fell on his ass which resulted in the goal. It was a slow defensive line change. 😂
Fk y’all for blaming Ethan Bear.
LOL. Bear twice threw a really bad pass up the middle of the ice from the side of his net. The first time it was almost picked off. The 2nd time he did that, it was picked off and resulted in the tie goal. So ya Bear screwed up harsh there. McD's F' up resulted in the Final loss, and he screwed up harsh there too.
hey cliffy boy your rez xheque is ready to pick up

OILERS ARE LOSERS. mcdavid skill wasted on the oilers LMAO
imagine bragging up winning a Cup 30 years ago
it’s like bragging about something your grandpa did 😂😂😂
You call that trash talk?
Bear was always overrated. Glorified 8th defenseman
Bear fn sucked! Cost us 2 playoff series, the hawks n jets! Soon as we got rid of him Oilers improved n won and got to the final 4.
Bear was useless
Most useless hockey player in history, he’s the giveaway lord
next thing he will say is i need reparations
Just mad he didnt get his bottle and cheque that day
What is wrong with you Hussain
Says the East Indian who desperately try to pick up chicks in their cabs. You muslims are the worst kind of people in Canada
Speaking of stereotypes I'd much rather have ours than yours Abdullah!
your salary in carolina should of been on a games played scenario rez is calling
Ethan Bear is one of the worst players in the league…
When Bear came for training camp the next season after he had the break out year, supposedly he came in out of shape and with a really crappy attitude.
The only reason he is in the league is political. Not a NHL caliber player.
