I am absolutely amazed at the time you take to explain things so clearly. I can't believe anyone complained about your video tutorial. I just made my first Tuesday Bag which I love, and the Weekend Add-On really adds so many more options - how you keep it all straight is seriously genius. Thank you so much!!
I’d like to thank you for this pattern, its add-on, and their accompanying video tutorials! I’ve been making bags since 2012, and your patterns and videos are the best I’ve seen. I’m both amazed and impressed by the level of thought and detail you put into your work. It’s truly exceptional! 😍
Thank you for your very easy to follow videos and written instructions. I decided to make the tuesday tote with all the options. Today will be day 3. I probably would have been done except for 2 BIG mistakes i made along the way. #1 - sewed the dual slip pocket upside down on lining piece , #2 - sewed the interior pieces together and trimmed seams! Then tried to move on to the recessed zipper and divider pocket. This was in spite of reading the instructions several times and watching the videos. I think what threw me off was when i went back to the original video for some of the instructions before i was done with all my add ons. In any case, i gave my seam ripper a good work out 😅 and was able to save the lining after ripping it all out and proceeding with the recessed zipper and divider pocket and very carefully sewing all the trimmed seams back together. Inside COMPLETE 😊 today i will tackle the outside . Already looking forward to making another one now that i have a better understanding of the order. Very well designed bag. Love what you did to eliminate bulk throughout the pattern. I will make a numbered cheat sheet for the next one. I will post a pic when I’m done.
Absolutely amazing, I was just hoping for a recessed zipper, you have gone far and beyond. The Tuesday tote is an amazing bag, now you have put it into a different level, thank you xx
Oh my stars! You crack me up!!! Your tutorials are great and I LOVE reading through your patterns because they are not only thorough and so easy to follow, but Shannon, you're so funny!
I have not made the Tuesday Tote with the Weekend Add-On pack yet, but I love the TT. I have gifted them a plenty! I can't wait to tackle this add-on pack. I'm a little apprehensive, but as usual, you always give the best tutorials.
You do such an excellent job explaining everything in this video! 👏👏👏 to you ! I recently bought the bundle because I was specifically interested in how to put a divider pocket in a boxed corner tote. I’m looking forward to making this tote, and also to utilize these options in other makes. I really appreciate what you have done. Thank you!
I absolutely love watching your tutorials!! You have taught me so much! Thank you for taking the time to do these. I am looking forward to trying one of your patterns!!
Thank You!!! I have been looking for a recessed zipper tutorial for vinyl that would eliminate bulk and an extra seam & yours is perfect! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!
It wasn't, I'm aware. I'm sorry about that. I just didn't have time to rerecord it. 😭 All the features can be seen on the website listing in detail though
I notice your videos get cut off so I can't see any of the bag features you are presenting :( Could you lower the camera for future videos please, I love your patterns!
This was so amazing. I subscribed. Purchased the bundle and looking forward to this. Loved all the tips with reducing bulk and other tips. Thank you so much! Question? I have the juki dx7 also, in the description you mention you use Mara 70 thread….what is the difference between that and Tex 45? Do you use Mara 70 in both your top and bobbin thread ?
Thank you so much! So glad to hear! I use Mara 70 in top and bobbin! It is not a bonded thread, but a stronger and thicker polyester thread with a core. It's technically tex 40 and that seems to be the sweet spot for my machine. I pair it with a size 16 needle and never have issues with that combo. :) I've used bonded Tex 35, 45, and 70 in my DX7 in the past, and all required some form of special treatment. This one I just wind and go. :)
In the video you never discuss what the “lower lining” pattern piece is in regard to the facing piece. Went back to instructions and the “lower lining” which is not a pattern piece is the lining piece minus 1.75 inches off top. Instructions for that or saying…go back to pattern instructions might have been helpful. But I’m back on track now for making this in leather.

Love the video, love the pattern.....It is such a classy design. I made my first one just following the pattern and the video.
In your video while you are showing the new features I could not see any of it as it was not in camera view?
It wasn't, I'm aware. I'm sorry about that. I just didn't have time to rerecord it. 😭 All the features can be seen on the website listing in detail though
Wow! I love that there are sooooooo many options.

@@knottedthreadsco ohh ok, good to know. I might have to give that a try! Thank you so much for your response! 😀
Great Video, what needle size are you using in you 1341?
Thank you! I'm using a size 17!
If I don't want to do an interior zipper pocket, can I just not secure the divider in the bottom seam
Sure, though I don't cover that in the pattern. That's something you'd need to modify on your own ❤️
