It would not have been possible if Mr. Miyagi and Daniel hadn't rescued Sato in the Typhoon. Sato and eventually Chozen saw the error of their ways and became decent men.
Man l alwaysed envisioned Daniels foes meeting one day..now here we are.

Daniel San rivals from the pass are bonding and talking about love. I freaking love this, Johnny and Chozen have come a long ways since they were teens. I wish nothing but hope, happiness and love for these two they deserve it. Johnny and Carmen, Chozen and Kumiko and of course Daniel and Amanda all the way. Love, love and more freaking love❤️🎶🫰🏽

It is a thing in Asian cultures about feeling guilty for what they have done and having honor, especially in Okinawa. This is also because of what he did to the villagers, Daniel, Kumiko, his Uncle Sato, and himself that he feels guilty for what he has done and how he did not have any concept of how he lost his honor until before Season 5.
That’s big character development for Johnny to not care about the crane kick anymore

Johnny really is becoming more and more like Mr. Miyagi, and I'm not just saying that because his relationship with Miguel is like the one Mr. Miyagi had with Daniel.
The kind of wisdom that is born from lifetime of failures and sad sorry mistakes. The only real difference was that Daniel came into the picture during the twilight of Miyagi's years, when his wisdom and balance were (almost) fully-formed; whereas Miguel entered Johnny's life at a point where he was at his lowest and still trying to figure it out, and inadvertently became the catalyst for his mentor's evolution.

Chozen and Johnny have such good chemistry
Their chemistry definitely is one of the highlights of that season. I wish they had an introduction to each other though during the time Daniel took a beating from Silver.

I don’t think it was the only reason but I do think it was a major factor.
I would hardly call it dating, more of a holiday romance.
He already had issues with Daniel as soon as they picked them up at the airport. That was before Daniel even met Kumiko.
