I made my girlfriend a steak this way 4 years ago. She’s my wife now, and we have 2 kids.
You did all this with a steak? :)
This I call a great skill possibly a natural talent.
All good stories start with them tender loins :p
Character progression we love to see it
Congratulations, and great job on that steak! I'm doing one for my wife on Sunday. I hope she likes it the way your wife liked yours.
Good effort!
Thank you for posting. I made this tonight for my Family and everyone loved it! fast easy and delicious. The butter in the pan for the oven really set this steak over the top. Yummmm!
I've used this method of cooking my steak and it became the best steak 🥩 I've ever eaten. I've gone to high-end restaurants between then and now and MY steak still holds that title of juciest, most delicious steak that I've ever tasted. Thanks for posting this video!
Really fantastic. I always wanted to make T-bone steak in my own kitchen. I think I can surely do it now. Thank you so much.
I am currently marinating a porterhouse overnight. I will have to try this technique tomorrow. I’m so glad I found this video. I made a porterhouse tonight for my dad and I to share. I bought two large porterhouse steaks for $28 today. I made it entirely on a stove top, in a cast iron pan. I seared each side using olive oil, then basted the steak with butter. I think I did something wrong though, as some parts of the steak were well-done, other parts were medium-rare, and others were medium. It was still a tasty tender steak, but I wanted to cook it more evenly. Maybe using your technique will help with this.
With no experience in cooking at all, I just did this and woooooow it was reeeeeal good. Thank you!!!
Thank you for sharing! I tried this tonight when I couldn't use my grill and enjoyed a VERY juicy and tasty steak! I cooked in the oven for 10 minutes (vs. 8) to get a medium-well steak. I also cheated and only let it rest for about 6 minutes, but it was STILL very juicy!
Tracy Bailey can I used microwave oven to baked for 8 minutes
lol Cheater!
Mine came out dry LOL
hell yea
was it still pink ? I like my steak fully done! How long should i cook it ?
i followed the directions exactly and it came out fabulously! will use this recipe again!
The carnivore in me has fallen in love. So delicious. I would order mine "not pre-sliced" though. IMO cutting as you go is part of the joy of steak-eating. Keeps it hot and juicy to the last bite. Scrumptious.
I concur 💯
Mina Newman this video has been my secret weapon for making fabulous steaks. Thank you for making this meticulous video (especially the needed reminder to rest the cooked steak).
That looks Amazing im making it tonight for my husband and daughter. They are gonna love it! you're a great chef!
This looks really good 😍 Gonna make this for my dad tonight
Thanks for this! I'm cooking one tonight and this helped a lot!
Thank you for the instructions and timings. Had a bit tninner steak, so I used 2-1-1 + 5 minutes and the steak was p.e.r.f.e.c.t !!! :D Been doing it the first time ever and it feels great to be able to cook it at home :)
I tried this method exactly as you demonstrated and it turned out perfect!! 👌👌👌 Thankyou! 🙌
Mina...you ROCK!!! thank you I had no idea how to cook a steak and you made it just that easy to understand..Thank you
Well done Nina, this by far is the best way to cook T-bone thanks.

That is a great demonstration. Thank you so much. I hope mine turns out as well. It should do as I've watched your video 4 times!😊
This turned out incredible.
Wow just cooked my t-bone and it was delicious!!! Thank you
Mine turned out to be medium which was perfect for my family.
Thank you for this. Found a couple of T-bones in the freezer and after thawing them in the fridge, cooked one of them up last night using your method. It was GREAT! Cooking the other one tonight. And I thought I saw some Strip Steaks in the back of the freezer...
Thank you for sharing. I am figuring out that butter or oil are necessary to make beef drippings, which I love on top of roasted potatoes. I made a chicken breast exactly like this and it came out delish ( of course I measured the temp and left it longer in oven)
Thank you Mina. I need to learn how to make a good t-bone for my family. Going to my kitchen right now. Great video. Thankx fpr sharing.
Looks amazing! Giving it a try tonight!
Just cooked not a tbone but a rib eye steak the same way she said and came out delicious!! Thank you

Tried this and it was the best steak I had ever cooked and eaten!
Thank you for adding the oven temp and amount of time. A lot don't do that. Am doing it tonight!🤓
Thank u so much! U made it look so easy!!!!
LOOKS GOOD
I have tried different ways but this one truly is the best!!!
When the T-bone goes in the oven, what function do I put it in: bake, broil or roast?
@@robertalexander9378 I preheat to 450 degrees for about 8 to 14 minutes depending on the thickness. I use the bake setting, not the broil nor roast. Hope this is helpful. Saludos desde Puerto Rico.
tried recipe -- very good!
Yesss cooking this tonight!
Wow this is my dream thanks a lot , now I know how to cooked this
Nice! looks great.
Looks good and tasty!
I ran out of propane and made a t-bone for my wife the way you instructed. It was perfect and delicious. It was very cold outside tonight anyway. Thank you for the video.

Great job with the cutting
Have to try
Couldn't quite make it out but it's Christos Steak Hous on the corner of 41st Street and 23rd Avenue in Queens. If I ever make it to NY from UK I'm heading straight there. : )
great! Thanks for the video!! :D Ima try it out now :)
This technique works great !! Good to know we can have a tasty steak anytime especially the winter months here in Nebraska ! :-D
Awesome Thanks For Sharing :D
Fantastic!
cant wait to try this tonight.
very helpful
3 mins 1st side, 1-2 mins 2nd side, reverse back and sear 2 more mins on the 3 min side.
Butter an oven plate and lay steak in a 450 degree oven for 8 mins.
Take out of oven - let set for 10 mins before cutting. Got it! Thank you 🙏 & Merry Christmas 🎄 2020~
I think she meant to put the steak in the oven right after searing on the second side. So no reversing back to the first side.
@@nihilsin3deo Also you don't have to speculate. It is visible on the video which side she is taking off last. The bone side looks towards the camera when she flips it first time. And when she takes it off the bone side still looks at the camera.. Which means she didn't cook it on 3 sides. Only 2 sides.
What kind of oil in the skillet?
Awesome 👏🏻
super recept

I can’t wait to try it !
I can’t wait to try it !
Making this on Friday ! Wish me luck !!
Fish is for Friday, wrong day, don’t do it!
I have not tired it yet!
This is a great way to cook any kind of steak. The video is well done and for those of you who think otherwise regarding the doneness, that's a matter of taste. Leave it in the oven longer if you want it more done. I do have one complaint, I don't think she should be wearing that huge ring with all the nooks and crannies when she is handling food.
bout to try it
Haven’t heard from you in 7 years, you allright?
Thanks. I was just cruising youtube Now I'm Starviiiinnnnggg!! Lol
Awesome 👌 wondering if Restaurant still Queens NYC has best Food the California and Florida.
UR KILLING IT
looking good
Fixing to cook a couple Tones exactly like this except I'll saute' some mushroom, onions, bell peppers to go on top..Yummm can't wait!
Mm I should try that it looks good
Wow it looks so succulent I can just pull from my RUclips account and start eating it now haha
Yummy yummy 😋
Where's the tenderloin? This is NY strip with a bone.
ruclips.net/video/KiD0Gil86fA/видео.html
Truong Nguyen that's why it's a t bone and not a porterhouse... Bro
tenderloin would make it a porterhouse.
Not just a tenderloin but a bigger tenderloin to NY strip steak ratio is a porterhouse.
Some of y’all don’t know what a porterhouse steak is....it’s the first couple of steaks off the shortloin. The meat on this “t-bone” looks good but that’s basically a bone in strip steak. Non porterhouse t bones have tenderloin on it too.
I just tried this approach and it was DELICIOUS! Thanks for the great tip about the butter dish as well. I can't wait to make this again!
She's so good at explaining!!!
I just did this and it was the best steak I've ever made.
