Yes and that low percentage misses or bluntly said sloppy missed under the basket shots and layups will not get fans excited to see her miss 3 to 5 inside the paint shots, only to rebound them and aggressively make it no matter how awkward the final successful attempt looks. Shaq was terrible at easy inside the paint shots. But he dominated without working on getting better by slamming it down over his opponents. It's safe to say that Reese will never slam over anyone or do anything other than self benefiting triple doubles to get that kind of excitement of her play.. Its just sloppy and boring after you watch Forwards or centers in the NBA deal with weak inside paint shots with DUNKS.

SHE ALREADY IS. god in HEAVEN have mercy on us all, have the CC haters EVER watched an Iowa game? do you have any IDEA what she can do, with a team who understand her and who support each other, and a coach who builds her sets around CC's world-class talent? APPARENTLY NOT. CAPS LOCK.
but does CC's and Coach Bluder's game plan transition seamlessly to the WNBA? NO. and no-one but delusional newbies like me expected it to. and we were all rudely awakened when it turned out that not only was Diana Taurasi correct, and reality is coming, but that CC couldn't even count on having a supportive coach. sad face :( she was going to have to struggle through a third of the season with an incompetent coach, who shut her down every chance she got.
but what do we see now? Sides has at least stopped putting a wrench in the works, and CC is lifting her entire team to the level of the Iowa Hawkeyes: run and gun, trust the point guard, team chemistry, anticipating breathtaking passes from nowhere.
so CC is showing the ability to adapt what she did in college, to the pros. is she shooting as well as she did in the pros? no. as many people pointed out, six months ago and earlier, she was predictable, both on 3 pointers and layups. and she has a very weak mid-field shot. (not to mention her defense is also very weak.) she was amazing at 3-pointers in college because even though she was completely predictable, she was so fast, off the dribble or off the pass, that her defender was left three feet away watching her drain a logo shot.
well you can't do that in the pros -- especially not when you're getting double-teamed. but CC is very adaptable: she uses her gravity (sometimes four or even five defenders on her) to pass to her open teammates.
and then the haters are all "she can't shoot." SHE DOESN'T NEED TO. she's not trying to pad her stats, she wants her team to do well -- and guess what she's accomplished?
and yes, as she keeps training and practicing and getting her teammates to expect her passes and pass to each other and give her the ball and pass back to her (and getting their incompetent coach to set up plays that use CC's strengths), she'll improve her 3-point shooting, and her mid-range shooting, and her drives to the rim. LIKE SHE WAS DOING AT IOWA. which brought a middle-level team to the final playoffs, twice. (haters: "but she never won the championship." fool, it's not a one-player accomplishment.)
TL/DR: I respectfully disagree with your opinion.

Reese, is consistently double and triple teamed. And honestly, she's a harder guard than CC, that's the hilarious part.
Oh please: Where were the "fans and entertainment for CC" during the College season when no one gave a damn about her and AR was eating up all the attention; NIL money; social media, etc.. No one cared when both met in the finals in 2023 (no one cared about either before the final , and about Clark after). So, just because ESPN, etc., creates a lot of artificial hype (Clark didn't win anything, nor had most NIL; social media, etc., far from it) that draws noobs such as yourself, stop acting like it's organic or will last.

Clark doesn't need ROTY. We, Iowans and others who share valuing good sportsmanship and good character, don't mind if Angel gets it. Hopefully it would settle something for AR and she could become more grounded with her choices.
Clark's destiny is bigger than sportswriters' drama votes. She doesn't need their awards. She doesn't need championships. She doesn't even need to ''win''. - She is on to something bigger: The Joy of Sport and Sharing This With Others. . . She could retire today and would be able to continue doing inspiring and great work - being the best role model for children, being a friend to her countless ''neighbors'', teaching how to make the game better, and leading more charitable initiatives.
She won't need to retire, and she will win awards, and win countless games and set many records, but as she said - that was never what her sport was all about.
GIve it to Reese. Let the sportswriters make their own fictions become truth. Then, watch what comes next. Will they be at peace and just cover and celebrate sports, as was the tradition of their profession in all earlier eras? Or will they need....MORE...MORE...MORE? Let them have it. Let them feed their endless hunger.
Clark will instead spend her time actually feeding those who are truly hungry.

The W need to support both CC223D and AR equally or face a backlash. CC223D can handle the adversity and probably was aware of the toxicity before joining the W. AR needs ROTY to be relevant whereas CC223D doesn't. ROTY Is just a participation award, whereas CC223D has the receipts through the stats. If AR gets it judged on the article in the Guardian, it will not age well and all these other hit piece articles will make the MSM look corrupt which will accelerate the demise of MSM.

Most of the time CC initiates the play before the screens are set, and the defender is able to stick to CC, so when she goes up its not as clean a look as she would have otherwise gotten. If you look at the plays that have worked, you will see, when the screen is effective she splashes. Dont get me wrong though, alot of them even if they are contested, she will make them.
