It is obvious that this was the last go around for the old guys, but the reality also is, the young guys were not ready. No way I can see Tatum, Edwards, Halliburton, AD, Embid, Jaylen Brown, Ja Morant, Booker, Bam, Jalen Brunson, and two more young American players winning the gold this year. I believe they had the roster right and Tatum should respect and understand. Just because he is the highest paid ever doesn’t make him the best ever like LeBron, Steph, and Kevin Durant! 2028 will be their time to dominate and be considered amongst the best. KD's had a very successful career and his legacy is cemented. I don't think he needs to become a role player in the NBA. He can always ball but he's seems ready to move onto the next chapter in his life post NBA.

KD mentioned in an interview with Draymond Green when they reconciled that, he would start a family after he retired. Not many athletes would have the perspective. He wants to start a family and create a legacy to leave to his future kids. I do think the agenda for LBJ and the media manipulation of the young guys did rub him the wrong way. It’s time to pass the torch and they still make it about Lebron.
