    Been doing these since 2019, sitting in my room, today I am on my way to sing the national anthem at the circuit of Americas, then do a big show in Austin tonight. Believe in yourself! I was a broke kid from a small town who chose to follow a passion everyone said we couldn’t. Believe in any dream you have!! Whatever it may be🙏🏾

      @@sdott9751sorry for the late reply, I prioritize vocal rest, and pick specific days to actually practice and sing aside from shows. But I always use these same vocal warmups and routines! They are great for me, so to each their own!

    *30 day challenge completed*
    *Week 1*
    Day 1: ✅ (Throat pains slightly on the super high notes, but opening the back of the mouth and loosening the tongue helps)
    Day 2: ✅
    Day 3: ✅ (Feeling signs of smoothness, especially my lip trills. Felt throat pain on B5 and C6 notes, rest are fine)
    Day 4: ✅ (Whistle tone starting to come, tone feels much more consistent)
    Day 5: ✅ (Didn't sleep well so felt tongue tension at first, but tone improved gradually. Stretching the tongue from time to time helps. Keep sipping hot water after each exercise)
    Day 6: ✅ (Feeling much more comfortable even with the super high notes, can feel the whistle tone coming. Consistency is everything!)
    Day 7: ✅ (Loving the progress)
    *Week 2*
    Day 8: REST
    Day 9: ✅

    Day 15: ✅ (half-way through)
    Day 16: ✅ (Had a studio recording of our original song at 3am. Absolutely aced it, best ever tone I've felt till now)
    Day 17: ✅
    Day 18: ✅ (Pushing downward for breath support helps control the melody better *think of pooping lol*)
    Day 19: ✅ (Singing seems so much easier. Definitely following this routine forever!)
    Day 20: ✅
    Day 21: ✅ (Happy 2023!)
    *Week 4*

    Day 2: it’s getting easier. After I did this yesterday, I restudied proper technique for head and chest voice as well as falsetto, proper breathing and staying relaxed. Remembering how the exercises go now, on top of reminding myself how to use my voice correctly helped me go further today!

    • @totebag132
      @totebag132 4 года назад +9

      Day 3: I’ve been doing this during my commute home after work. Tonight I’m dehydrated and my stomach hurts from only drinking caffeine all day. It was slightly easier but not as much progress as yesterday.
      Also, my starting range is D3-C6 comfortably.

    • @totebag132
      @totebag132 4 года назад +12

      Day 4/5: I did it in the morning and forgot to update! Not much more progress today. I’m expecting that this is going to be the trend; that it’s going to be very minuscule amounts of progress each day from here on out. As a side note, I am also doing other exercises like agility and pitch training on top of this, I’ve found that having a glass of water during and then drinking lemon honey tea afterwards helps with vocal upkeep. Much less sore today.

      Masha Kalinina I’m no expert on singing but don’t strain your voice to hit these high notes. Try to use falsetto/head voice to hit them if you can. Only sing what you are comfortable to and push yourself a note or two higher and you’re range will increase overtime. You could hurt you’re vocal chords if you force it.

I just want to be as good as the sopranos in the varsity choir, and auditions are in a month. Wish me luck! Currently my vocal range is D#6 - F3. I also really need to work on my lower range.

    Try putting the leg of the side you write with infront and when is time to hit a note, put your weight in it when hitting the note, know when to use head, mixed and chest voice. Don't tense your throat cuz you are putting the strength in the wrong place, the veins we see in singers are bad, relax the neck and instead, put it in you abdomen, chest, and back muscles of your arms, aka tense it up when hitting the note, for learning amd feeling how it should feel, use a weight, not that heavy not that light, and grab it with both hands, lift it in front of your chest (shoulder height), what that is doing is tensing the area you need to use, slowly but surely your body will automatically do it itself. I learnt this one from the concervatory, smile, like legit smile wide open, what you are doing is "putting" the voice in the molars and it helps you. And don't forget, extending your range isn't a one week thing, it takes time, don't go over your limit cuz you can cause long term damage. No cold things, don't scream, use your chest voice while speaking and good luck 💜

    It's 17/05/2022. My Main Goal Is To Increase Chest Range.
    My Chest Voice Range: F2 to F#4 (Can barely hit F#4 and also feel strain in my throat and under my tongue)
    My Full Vocal Range: F2 to E5 (Can Barely hit E5)

    Day 3: Done (Didn't complete it because my throat was hurting a little bit)
    Day 4: Done
    Day 5: Done (Getting easier)
    Day 6:Done
    Gave my voice rest for 3 or 4 days but I did sing.
    Ken Templin said to first practice chest voice and when you have a very powerful and robust chest voice then move to head voice so I won't be practicing Head voice or falsetto from now on.
    Day 7: Done (Couldn't practice low notes)
    Day 8: Done (Can hit F#4 without feeling any kind of strain and touched G#4 and I could touch E2 also)
    Day 9: Done (Didn't practice the low notes)
    Day 10: Done (Hit G4 almost every time and often hit G#4 too and can sustain E2 after warming up a little and also touched D#2 for the very first time)
    Day 11: Done (Only practiced low notes because I was feeling a little discomfort in my throat so I gave it a rest)
    Day 12: Done
    Day 13: Done
    Day 14:Done

    Question. Some of these exercises tend to be a little high. Is it safe to attempt to do a whole exercise even though it ends up very high? Or should one do these and stop before they know they will struggle?

      If it hurts or is uncomfortable dont do it

    • @jammin0591

      París Arts it makes sense. Will my voice increase overtime and will I be able to go higher comfortably? Is that how it works?

    • @Hope-si1kb
      @Hope-si1kb 5 лет назад +25

      @@jammin0591 if you do it once a day and correctly it should. Make sure you drink lots of water though.

    • @kiaraneville3006

      @@jammin0591 strain your voice only a note or two higher than you can do comfortably, then overtime once you get the hang of the previous strained notes and can do them properly without strain, strain your voice to 2 more higher notes and continue doing this and overtime your range will get really good. But, we all have a limit to notes, no matter how many range extensions exercises you do, it's not possible for everyone to hit every single note. So, by straining your voice I don't mean for you to hit those high notes in chest voice all the time, everyone can't do that, so hit them in falsetto, what I meant was just go a note or two higher than your comfortable note and then overtime your range and voice will get better. And to maintain a good voice, do 5 minute vocal excercise everyday and drink hot water with salt.
      (wow this was long)
