What a GIFT this is. I hope people realize it. I'm very grateful to find it. I'm a professional singer with Broadway credits. You'd think I'd have a million warm-ups recorded but I do not. I used to sing all day every day! Since the pandemic started, I haven't really felt much like it and have felt really depressed. At the moment I am recovering from abdominal surgery and it still hurts a little bit to breathe let alone sing! As soon as I can, I'll be doing these exercises because I need to get back to doing what I loved most! Thank you for providing this for free.
- Beforehand: be hydrated, do stretches, stand straight, sigh, yawn, start focusing on your singing session, feel happy about doing it :-) - Humming (softly!): activates your vocal cords (in case you haven't been speaking until now - Mum: start projecting (feel the "m" vibrate your lips and open your jaw to "spit out" the "ah"s) - Lip roll: loosens your lips, warms up embouchure muscles, engages air flow control, massages your throat (beginner note: this is a skill in and of itself, don't be discouraged if you can't do it just yet!) - Goog: raises your soft palate, requires you to maintain good embouchure, glottal attack further warms up muscles in your throat - Beginner addition: throughout the entire warm up you train your muscle memory for volume and pitch (intervals) and your range. Aim for clean phonation and consistence. Get familiar with your singing voice. - Intermediate addition: throughout the entire warm up you can train your mixed voice and improve your vowel shape and resonance as well as projection. Happy singing everyone (This is a useful comment I copied from another video 💙) Credit to faselblaDer3te

It’s easy to want to turn this up loud but i highly recommend listening to it quietly as listening to it loudly, in my experience, has lead me to sing louder and strain my voice. Try listening at a volume you could easily talk over.

@cursedegg1622 I've been screaming for around 27 years. I feel like I thrash my vocals more when I lean into hard singing than I do when I'm screaming. I use my diaphragm alot when I scream. When my stomach gets tired and sore, I use my throat more, and that's when my throat gets thrashed.

^o^ THANK YOU for creating these warm ups for us. I am seriously soo grateful. I used to be in choir and I miss it so much. I was starting to feel bummed out because i've been missing choir and playing music, but this makes me so happy and warms my heart as I work to get out of this rut and back into what I love❤️ I always loved the vocal warm ups.. I think they're fun, uplifting and smoothing. Plus, they're important for your voice and breath. I am so happy and grateful that I can do some good ol vocal warm ups again now :)
HONESTLY, it worked for me and still still does. I started last June 2020 during COVID-19, and I can attest to the fact it helps develop singing techniques. I can reach notes now which I cannot hit before. And I can noticeably sing notes clearer than before. It is as if my notes were polished.
Imitate your fav singers I found my falsetto & voice, by imitating the Weeknd then imitate another singer not just ur fav artist that’s all I can give hope this helps.

^o^ THANK YOU for creating these warm ups for us. I am seriously soo grateful.
I used to be in choir and I miss it so much. I was starting to feel bummed out because i've been missing choir and playing music, but this makes me so happy and warms my heart as I work to get out of this rut and back into what I love❤️
I always loved the vocal warm ups.. I think they're fun, uplifting and smoothing.
Plus, they're important for your voice and breath.
I am so happy and grateful that I can do some good ol vocal warm ups again now :)
This channel is a blessing to me. Being a professional actor, it's hard to find time to warm up my voice. I love, love LOVE this channel!
Love this one mate. Please do a 30 minute version.
already created it ;)
Those 37 dislikes are from the moms
That or it could be from people who think they don't need vocal warm ups to sing without damage.
It's 174 now 😭
Cameron Sanchez so why would they click?
184 now

When English is your first language and saying mommy made me mash my m&m’s is all of a sudden a challenge.
What does that actually mean? Everyone's saying this!
Imagine a foreign now!😅
I'm geordie and don't have this issue

Its because y’all never do tounge twisters. Go and practice some fukkin eminem songs
I love this. M&Ms
M&M's are the best 😍
If you do this consistently and properly everyday, or most days you start to sound good after many months and it becomes easier.

This has always helped me in chorus! This my tenth year, thanks for the videos!
You are welcome
HONESTLY, it worked for me and still still does. I started last June 2020 during COVID-19, and I can attest to the fact it helps develop singing techniques. I can reach notes now which I cannot hit before. And I can noticeably sing notes clearer than before. It is as if my notes were polished.
I really enjoy these vocals exercises and warmups. What are some good tips for improving tone?
Im glad you like it. Might make a video about it some day
When you're singing, try to smile or imagine you're smiling, I find it helps :) I'm sure there's many other ways as well if you google it :)
Imitate your fav singers I found my falsetto & voice, by imitating the Weeknd then imitate another singer not just ur fav artist that’s all I can give hope this helps.
Don’t you just hate it when you’re in the middle of the exercise an ad interrupts an you’re like “shuuu-huhhhuh??!!?”
thank u for helping with my singing. i think ive really improved because of u. ive been doing this for two weeks and i love it. the first week my neighbor she loved my voice so much she would throw a rock at each window everyday to hear my voice better. Now she throws a baseball bat to hear it even better bc itmakes a bigger hole. Thank u so much. Im so thankful for u
I've been using this for two years.
I started my singing journey 3 1/2 years ago and I can happily say that I am grateful for such a good warm up tool.

For those having trouble with the lip rolls, lightly touch your index fingers to your dimples! 😊
That was extremely helpful
I don’t have any dimples
The bottom part of your cheek works too
My throat has never been so clean
This is amazing! Thank you very much!
im glad you like it ;)
thanks for this! added this my warm up routine ☺️ really really helps!
That's great to hear!
How many times should we do this in a day ? And can we drink water in between
Just once before you do more challenging stuff. Remember.. It's just a warm up, so it's just supposed to get your muscles nice and warm so you don't get injured when you sing. + you will be able to sing more easily
@@Jacobsvocalacademy Thank you for the advice!
I freaking love it💜thank you so much
That's great to hear 🙂
this is so very helpful i use your viddeos almost every day! i like to read threw the comments and see all the fellow commenters and singers! 🥰🥰
Love the videos this one is a perfect length.
Im glad you like it
Do I do this warm up every day so I can get better at singing???? Pls reply
Hey! Vocal Warm ups are not really meant to make you better. It's just a warm up that gets your muscles warm so you are ready to sing more intense stuff. Its kinda like warming up before you go for a run. Check out the video i did called "vocal warm up vs vocal exercises" that explains it in detail.
Panda Squad yes
How to Tech this means you’re singing too hard, try dialing it back. Again, it’s like stretching before a run.
@How to Tech Don't strain your voice
@@Jacobsvocalacademy but these are roughly the same exercises as shown in your video: "daily exercises for an awesome singing voice"... whats the difference then?
Thank you so much! You're really helpful!
Can you make the best warm up with excercises for pros? How do they usually warm up? What techniques do they use?
Ayumi Anime they use a lot of the same techniques, they arent superhuman just bc theyre pros
They use the same exercises as any one else
