- In this video, I'm going to show you a 20 minute vocal warm up that will help you achieve great vocal range, vocal tone, and vocal agility. This vocal warm up is designed for advanced singers who want to improve their pitch and make their voice sound its best!
Gday, Ian Castle here, your AVC and this is the 20 minute vocal warm up for guys. This routine is designed for more advanced singers and vocalists who have a heavy voice that need more time to completely warm up. Each exercise starts in a low range suitable for basses and low baritones and gradually ascends to suit higher baritones and tenors. As always make sure you sing in a comfortable vocal range and if an exercise becomes too high stop and move on. I have included timestamps for each exercise.
Timestamps
00:00 Intro
00:32 Warmup Exercise 1: Let's get some forward resonance happening with some Humming
01:56 Warmup Exercise 2: Humming and a Vowel. Use this exercise to transfer and expand your vocal resonance. Allow your jaw to drop and mouth to open as you sing the vowel.
03:27 Warm Up Exercise 3: This is a descending scale on ya. Make sure you allow your jaw to drop on each note to create space in your mouth.
06:00 Warmup Exercise 4: Lip or Tongue Trill Arpeggio. Lets get some head voice resonance firing.
07:21 Warmup Exercise 5: Extended Arpeggio on Mum. Now that your voice is warm It's time to open up and expand your vocal range.
09:34 Warmup Exercise 6: A minor arpeggio. This exercise is in a minor key to challenge your pitch targetting. This exercise also ascends into high head voice or falsetto for those that need to sing above a C5.
11:51 Warmup Exercise 7: This descending scale is great for vocal agilty. The vowel combinations are also going to get your tongue and jaw moving.
14:59 Warmup Exercise 8: A full range singing exercise focusing on vowels and articulation
17:39 Warmup Exercise 9: The Round Scale. This is a full range exercise that will require you to sing through chest, mixed and head voice. Keep your voice and body energised as you sing the notes.

I love this one because:
1. I’ve been singing for years, and I’m always looking for new set of advanced exercises to keep it motivating.
2. I’m a low baritone but I have developed reinforced falsetto. This set of exercises gives me the opportunity to practice blending the mix.
3. 20 minutes is perfect for a lunch break warm up, also just enough to continue with my repertoire.
4. Thanks so much for the drums!
5. Thanks so much for the intro reminders to help focus and then singing along for the first three times.
I would like to hear you though sing all the way sometimes just to see how you would blend the low and upper.
Respect.
These vocalizes are an asset to any singer on the go. I use them to and from work all the time. Thank you for what you do. Much appreciated. 🙏🏻
You’re welcome Charles

Great video! Could we maybe get some chest voice & head voice videos
This one was very challenging, but having some trouble in hitting those upper notes😢! And still slowly working on getting my voice stronger and higher ! Should I just work with this for a few months? Thanks so much for this lesson! Can I get a response and thank you in advance!
Hi David. Challenging is ok but if you feel like you are straining I would stick to a routine that you are confident doing that pushes you just outside of your comfort zone.
