  • Gday, Ian Castle here, your Aussie Vocal Coach and this is the Ultimate 10 Minute Vocal Warm Up for Guys. This warm up is a quick, no fuss set of vocal exercises to stretch and condition your voice. Each singing exercise will start in a low vocal range (chest voice). Join in when the pitch is comfortable for you and make sure you don't sing outside of your natural range.

    00:19 Warmup Exercise 1: Let's get some forward resonance happening with some Humming
    01:43 Warmup Exercise 2: Humming and a Vowel. Use this exercise to transfer and expand your vocal resonance. Allow your jaw to drop and mouth to open as you sing the vowel.
    03:15 Warm Up Exercise 3: Lip or Tongue Trill Arpeggio. Lets get some head voice resonance firing.
    04:37 Warmup Exercise 4: Extended Arpeggio on Mum. Now that your voice is warm It's time to open up and expand your vocal range.
    06:50 Warmup Exercise 5: Let's finish with a full range singing exercise focusing on vowels and articulation.

    Tongue trills will forever be a mystery to me. Haven't got a clue how they're supposed to work. Great warmups by the way!

      I'm really happy I even heard Ian even use the term tongue trills recently. The rolling R is very common in my language and tongue trills are for me less tiring then lip trills.
      I think for English speaking people tongue trills should be very hard since there's no rolling R in English.

    Hey teacher, i dont know what voice type i am. I saw your video but I still dont know!
    My lowest note is F2
    My higger midle range note is C6
    My higher head voice note is A6
    My higher whistle note is A7
    My primo is D4
    My secondo is F4
