Hi all. What is the Auriok Salvager good for? I play a Marneus myself and am totally clurless about this card?!

With Lions eye diamond you can loop for infite mana and the activate marneus go draw your deck and win from there

@@DeadOnBoardMTG you’re definitely not wrong, but it feels like much less difficult of a puzzle if you play a deck where all it takes to build it is “just slap the staples in it and you’ll be fine” but at the same time i realize those are the best cards in the format for a reason lol

@@DeadOnBoardMTG i err in favor of any deck that *isnt* just a list of all the best cards available to the color pair. I feel like that makes for a much more interesting game and a more thought-provoking brewing experience personally. Decks like Lonis, Gitrog, and Anje where you play a bunch of niche weird cards that would be terrible literally anywhere else, but once they find their proper home they become all-stars.

I definitely agree on that in terms of interesting gameplay, hence why I'm normally playing weird off meta decks on the channel, but for a lot of people cedh is about winning and I'm certainly not going to argue how good a kinnan or najeela list is
