Your welcome for the inspiration from my hbx thruster with my custom body . They do look pretty scale size with a 1/10 scale truck cab and 1.9 beadlocks .
Pro tip - Use ABS with 3D prints so you can use an acetone vapor bath to smooth out the parts for a glossy, professional look. Other than that, Keep up the great work and excellent videos. :)
Goncalo Quinas hey did u ever get the 3D printer? I’m looking for someone to print some stuff for my crawler, u seen it on my video it’s the one I melted half the body, lol but I wanna fix that, I’d pay u obviously so lmk thanks brotha👍👍👊👊
Glad your enjoying this build, I too am looking forward to seeing this finished. Its been a very enjoyable project so far, and I will definitely be adding more scale details. Thanks for the comment.
Nice, first 3D printed roll cage I have seen. I am trying to 3d print an entire 1/10 trophy truck, and it is cool to see you also adding a 3d printed aspect on your prerunner
The OD of the tubing is 4mm except for a few spots that are 3.5mm. It is quite strong especially after the resin coating. It's every bit as strong as your average injection molded plastic part you'd find on any hobby grade RC, but it is more brittle so it would be more likely to break under a hard impact rather than flex to absorb the impact. It's strong enough for the driving that I will be doing.
Make It RC That's interesting. I'm designing a car now and the whole chassis is 6mm OD with a 1mm ID and I want sure if it would be strong enough. I guess it is probably overkill then lol.
It depends on what material your tubing is, I'd image 6mm of plastic or metal would be quite strong. Of course just like when building a full scale cage, the structural design is important if you need your chassis to be strong and ridged. Good luck with you build.
I've been following this build and you've made great progress!! I'm interested to see how the front linkage is going to work, this has been pretty cool to follow 1st time doing such a thing. But I've learned alot from watching your vids. Thanks and rock on brother✌
Could u make me a cage on ur 3D printer for my rgt hsp scale crawler 1/10scale? I would pay u obviously, please lmk I wanna customize it, u can see it on my channel I just started, I was painting it👍👍👊👊📹📹
that looks absolutely crisp
3D Printing has changed everything.
Pleases continue to keep updates. The rig looks good with the mods. Can’t wait to see more!

Looks like it's coming along very nicely.
That truck will look ineradicable!! looking forward to update videos.

Super cool and creative idea man. I’m every day closer to get a 3D printer, that things makes every project an endless possibility. Big like in here

cant wait to see this finished. get as scale as u can. looks cool already.

Thats awesome! Im actually building a very similar one with the 72 k10 ascender body but I'm putting it on a scx10 and brazing the cage together

Absolutely loving your videos dood, Inspires me to start RC. Keep up the good work
Glad your enjoying the videos. I'm always glad to hear that others are inspired by my work.
Awesome editing, you achieved to make a very slow thing into a very entertaining video !
Can't wait to see this thing
_RC_KING_ I know it’s gonna be sweet, this guy is super talented
cant wait to see the final product!
Pffft!!! Just 4 screws. Famous last words. That's what I told my mom when i wanted to take apart her vcr when I was a kid. It didn't go back together.
Can I ghti oni my Antonio Harrison and I am in jamaicaa
Love this channel!
you are very good at CAD!
Awesome! Already looks amazing I would love to do this to my fy03 desert eagle I love the build!
I don't know how rugged that 3d Printed cage will be... how has it held up?
how to build the cage or what are the measurements
Hey what’s the manufacturer link to the skyline drift awd 1:24 car
I NEED THIS !
You should try using acetone to smooth your parts. There are lots of videos on YT on how to do this.
cool video, ive been wanting to do this
I would love to do this, good work
Hey MIRC. Could you maybe do a Hummer H1 with the same model scale as this? It doesn't need fancy roll cages etc. but just AWD & dat ground clearance
Looks good
How did you print the roll cage? It was in large pieces correct? Did you use supports? What printer do you have?
Nice man I like it so far
Can you leave the link to the 3D printer roll cage and the roof rack
Dose that truck not resemble a traxxas slash
What scale body is that? And cant wait to see it finished
I think it's 1/12? But I don't know for sure.
Where is the rest of this build and the firebird build...? 😭
Not saying anything bad about your work it looks great but would it not have been easier to solder together some copper pipe ?
I need that for my rc4wd build
Can u make a update on this badass truck
What solvent did you use to spread out the milliput?
Water
Cool
Like how your build is going, but why dont you make the cage of metal?
Metal cage would be epic but I don't have the tools to create one and 3D printing in metal is pricey.
Chassis looks like a Vaterra Twin Hammers
What size outer diameter are all the members on the roll cage? Do you think it is strong enough to withstand a rollover at speed?
Rafik Volkov thats what I was questioning. You printed it all at ones?? How did you do it??

@RC-XTREMETEAM The entire cage was printed in two pieces using PLA plastic.
Make It RC That's interesting. I'm designing a car now and the whole chassis is 6mm OD with a 1mm ID and I want sure if it would be strong enough. I guess it is probably overkill then lol.

What kind and brand of RC is this
I've been following this build and you've made great progress!! I'm interested to see how the front linkage is going to work, this has been pretty cool to follow 1st time doing such a thing. But I've learned alot from watching your vids. Thanks and rock on brother✌
Thank you, I always appreciate the comments!
love shoe goo
Erin boat guy amazing stuff, i remember when we had yo use it to narrow geolanders for "scale tires" and those things held up fine
Which 3d printer do you use to make the cage ? Thank you ;-)
I used a Maker Gear M2 to print the cage.
ok, thanks :-)
Where did you get the c10 body
Got it from a local guy, traded some 3D printed accessories for it. I believe its a Pro-Line body.

is there a third Episode yet?
When are you going to make part 3
Not sure. Hopefully within the next month or two. Depends on my schedule.
is there a part 3?
No not yet. I've made progress on this build which I've shown in more recent videos but I haven't yet put that footage together to make a part 3.
Make It RC well i subd cant wait for it man nice job👍
I need to do this to myn
Nice but that is a ton of work to end up with a plastic cage...make the same out of stainless rod would both look awesome and be very strong.
Would be cool, but I don't have the tools for that at this time. One of these days I'll make it happen.
lol, I saw part 1 yesterday ^^
what modeling program do you use?
I use a number of programs for different kinds of CAD modeling. I think I did the cage in Fusion360. I also use Blender, FreeCAD, and Sketchup.
Would you sell the parts you print to your viewers?
I do plan on selling some of the parts I use. I'll have more info and details in the coming months.
The bodyshell 1/10 scale?
I think it is closer to 1/12 scale, but I'm not exactly sure.
Make It RC oh.. never mind.. but bodyshell 1/10 scale can use on 1/12 right?
Possibly, depends on the dimensions of the body.
Oright.. thanks..
Why not go to axial.com?
Tad pole this way more fun
You have a small battery
What 3d printer did u use ?...id like to buy one
The parts for this build were printed on a MakerGear M2. It's a great printer but a bit pricey. Another great printer I use is a Prusa i3 MK2S.
make pt3
It is nice car
Could u make me a cage on ur 3D printer for my rgt hsp scale crawler 1/10scale? I would pay u obviously, please lmk I wanna customize it, u can see it on my channel I just started, I was painting it👍👍👊👊📹📹
Up date
wow you have dubbled your subs scense i subscribed (sorry for trash english)
