@STEVE VENTO The quality of design is great, could have lined the cab up batter too, I think my gripe was they weren't marked or mentioned that it was 3d printed and were pretty expensive, they did hold up to some big wrecks so I have to some criw on that. They make good quality stuff
It's hard to understand without knowing what a prerunner is and does. Take a stock truck and modify it to be performance based and capable of extreme abuse. Jumping, drifting, high speed whoops. Thanks fir watching hope this helps you get a feel for what we're trying to do👍😎
Just got home, glad to help you research any way I can, You can see the running videos of these trucks shows what I made them for. Thank you for taking the time to ask, in California these types of trucks are all over and very common so I do a poor job of explaining the concept.
I have 3 used IFS 1 units, one converted to 2wd just sitting on a box. Let me know if you need any parts, getting harder to come by these days with the IFS 1 discontinued. Have a good weekend 👍
Hey, I was thinking of starting a project like this myself, how did you get the chassis? Did you buy the trailruner, or the chassis kit, and then added the ifs kit?
I recommend getting a IFS Elwment rig and adding the trailing arms. I would do a Trailrunner and get a ExtremeRC4x4 trailing arm conversion kit for yeti arms and a set of trailing arms for the yeti and that is a great starting point. You can reference the Bronco prerunner video for the current suspension package and motor setup 🤙good luck and feel free to reach out for questions
Only thing I've noticed is the king shocks are a pretty cheap quality and I've had everything on them fail. Snapped shafts, broken ball end, leaky, shock cap balls get wore out easy. Maybe I just didn't use them right🤷♂️
Your totally correct and I dont think you used them wrong there not the best quality that's for sure. Check out the shock upgrade video on my channel for an update. The Toyota 4runner rc prerunner I did is running the same updated shock package, baja rey fronts with Powerstroke Xts in the rear. Thanks for watching
stainless screws from the scx10 kit are 2mm longer ... because of the ball ends, it looks like you are gaining about 5 mm (switch to metric!) ... you shouldn't have bend that piece, a polyurethane washer would've helped
I reached out to Scale Metal Supplies prior to bending it. Can't switch to hardware I don't own just using what I have on hand. Thanks for following along and if I run into these issues again I will use your suggestions. Thanks for watching 👍
Hi Mister! Nice... A wunderfull video series. It helps me a lot to understand more and more... (RC is my Corona Hobby, lot's of time the last year, you know) I'm only the typical RTR guy... Kitchen table is my garage (when she's outside 😎😙) Lots of interesting thinks here to see. For example the tire size, very scale, i think... Gearbox Tuning ("count teeth") And so on... Espacially at 1'10"😁 👍. Sounds good😆👍👍👍! Three hats off, three cheers and good luck for your mission! (hope you can understand my bad english, greatings from the other side of the world) 😉
@@Pitstopcomponents Hi! Realy? Google helps me a lot. 😉 I wish my english was better... Understanding is more complicated for me, espacialy technical things/words, ye know... But, does'nt matter... I resently stuffed a Hobbywing 1800kv Combo in my 1/6 Willy's Jeep... Only a english operation manual... Every thing went well... Nothing was burning/cocking/sparkling... AND it runs perfect 👍👍👍😁
Thanks for the continued support broskie. I love custom builds and this is a great way to turn an ordinary rock crawler into a true scale RC ripper. Thanks on the 1k, respect from Oregon's Adventure Coast.
Heck yah, I shredd them or twist them instantly. Infact in the next video I shredd and noodle another brand. The Baja Rey uses 1.5 for the body buttons and it has so many I thought that's what was causing it. Did you ask me before about 1.5s?
Well dang looking forward to the next video and actually I think so lol my issue is the driver won't fit into almost any screw I tried without forcing it
Not familiar with the Senton but I would not recommend these shocks outside of crawler use. There not designed for performance or jumping. Spring rates are what hold the weight of any vehicle when looking for shocks having different spring weights is the key to shock upgrades.
@@DoubleClutchProductions I'm only very new to 3d printing. But I've been retaining knowledge as I begin my journey with 3d printing. I stumbled across enealing. Heat oven, place fdm part in powder salt. As it heats salt joins with the plastic causing almost injection mold strength. You will find information on it

Cutting and running the axle stubs is how you convert an awd Subaru to rwd too! Haha very scale
That is cool man didnt know.
@STEVE VENTO you’re correct. But you do use the axle stubs to bolt the disk to the hub with the axle nut so it’s similar.
Send it dude!!! I’m so ready to se this thing shredding!!!
Its going to rip bro, thanks for the support.
If you cut a piece of lexan to fit in the boatsides and glue it down it should help stiffen them up!
Great info man, going to have to try that
That you…for your videos are very interesting and they also give me ideas thank for sharing 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Pablo, appreciate you watching 👍
Those shrink body mounts are actually really strong. I doubt you'll need to add an epoxy or anything to make them "stronger". Awesome build man
Ha ha thanks man. Those mounts will surprise me if they hold up.

that's gonna be awesome!
I am so pumped on the progress so far. Its going to be a true scale RC ripper. Thanks for watching.
Amazing bro...
Yah, buddy, thank you for watching 👊
i just got the knightrunner last night first thing i did was cut the front axles out lmao
Good move lol, it's a fun project, good luck
love your channel man, keep up the good work
Thanks buddy I like your styles too, thanks for the support 👍

New viewer here.
I am attempting to grasp the concept of your builds.
2wd scale good a jumps and bashing?
Google desert prerunner, high performance long travel scale truck.

Where did you get your body mount? I want to mount a hard body on my ecto.
Shrinkrc I believe, I remember getting it on Ebay way back, Google element enduro RC4wd body mount, 👍😎
is the ifs you used from the stock knightsrunner rtr or element ifs conversion kit?
Yes, just the standard Associated IFS Conversion kit. The Camburg IFS 2 is leaps and bounds ahead and worth every penny!

Good to know I'll give it a look. Thanks for the info
Yeah king shocks are all bad. I have a whole box full of broken king shocks at my hobby store.

What length shocks are you using front and rear?
100mm front and rear but with the extended ball ends it's more like 112ish ball to ball. Thanks for watching 🤟

Yeah I've busted the 1.5 a couple times. I've had good luck with the ProTek bits.
Good info 👍😎
What sort of gear ratios are you running in that solid diff? I would like to convert my outlaw rampage 👌
Its funky because its 4wd. It's a 48p spur and a 23tooth pinion but on a stealth x geabox
@@DoubleClutchProductions yeah beauty mate cheers!

@@DoubleClutchProductions got it I see … thanks for the tips . Just got into the RC and learning as I go
@FOURFTP glad to help man.
What chassis?
ELEMENT ENDURO
Thanks
Is it a losi or an element Enduro?
It's an Element Gatekeeper with a IFS kit 🤟
@@DoubleClutchProductions oh,okay, thanks so much 😁👍
What is the truck
Element gatekeeper, more info in the description and 6 other parts
\m/ \m/ Sick build!
Sick dude, glad I can make the work day a little less painful lol, thanks for the support
What is the chassis name?
All links and info are in the description
Please hear me brother. this truck needs a front braking system. I have the idea. just not the means to make it a thing.
Braking is done by the motor and esc
Eneal the part with powdered salt.
Explain more?
