Many of his albums are underrated, just as Pipes of Peace, Flowers in the Dirt, Off the Ground, Driving Rain and I think also press to play

When I first listened to this song back then, I had too much expectations of Paul, like, "More! More!" So I didn't think it was a very good song.
But as I listen to it now, it's a really good song! It's a relaxing, cool rock tune.
And Linda was well. It brings me to tears.

I like the vocal on this live version better than the vocals on the record. They are stronger, more forceful and fit the arrangement better. This live version has a heavier sound.

"Off the ground", the whole album, is vastly underrated. It came out in early 1993, in the middle of grunge and alternative rock, so nobody paid the attention it deserved. Basically all the songs are good, no filler, and it flows (a lost art in recorded music). "Flowers in the dirt" was Paul back to form after his not so great 80s albums, and it had great songs, but it still sounded too 80s. "Off the ground" has the songs, and also the back to basics production, and it sounds fresh to this day. For me, better than "Flowes in the dirt" and also better than "Flaming Pie" which was critically acclaimed after the whole Beatles Anthology and britpop period in 1997. So, in a word, great album, wrong timing.

Most of Paul's career is vastly underrated. The 3 albums you named are great, (Flaming Pie and Off the Ground, alongside Ram, are his 3 greatest albums in my opinion).
Just in recent years he started to gain some of the respect that he really deserves. Chaos and Creation, Memory Almost Full and New get positive reviews, and also last year he picked the "Songwriter's Songwriter Award", in which he was voted by other musicians as the best songwriter of all time.
But critics (and people in general) are still very unfair with Paul.
It's a pity that people only get the recognition they really diserve when they pass away. Especially when you're talking about the most successful musician of all time.

After 24 years Paul finally made it back "Down Under" to Australia last December..... His set list basically ignored the majority of the 90s :(

I like how on this tour and the Flowers tour, Paul played guitar quite a bit and basses that weren’t the Horner.

In Spanish: Gracias a su amiga Chrissie Hynde cantante de THE PRETENDERS que le cedió a sus músicos. Del PRETENDERS de los 80 salieron Robbie McIntosh y Blair Cunningham el Baterista.

Late 80s to mid 90s Paul was awesome, I liked his backing band, they didn’t look like decrepit old men with long dyed hair that look like lesbians.
