I saw Paul on this tour, agree he was really rocking. I liked Flowers in the Dirt a lot, and his band were superb, especially Robbie McIntosh on guitar. Fantastic gig.
The moment when he walked onto the stage at Wembley Arena and sang this song will stay with me for the rest of my life...first time I ever saw him in the flesh.
I saw Paul three nights after this show at Market Square Arena in Indianapolis. I have great memories of that night, which was highlighted by the Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End medley. Everyone got a free concert program, which I still have.
I saw this show in 1989 in L.A. It was one of 5 shows he did over Thanksgiving weekend. The show I attended was fantastic. He was in great form that night. Not only did he do solo and Beatles material, he also did a couple of covers: Twenty Flight Rock which was incredible and Ain't That a Shame. It was the second time seeing him after the WOA 1976 show. 13 years between shows! This show became the great Tripping the Live Fantastic album. Plus the version of Sgt. Pepper performed here was the best I ever heard. This particular band was excellent especially the lead guitarist, Robby. All in all, a great show, although I just saw him at Dodger Stadium this summer and can't believe that he even topped 1989 given how much older he is! But he did! Knocked it out of the park(pun intended)!
I saw him.in Berkeley, and up there when I saw Queen w/Freddie and pre-crash Skynyrd as the best shows I have seen. Great song to open the show. Highlight for me was seeing him do Sgt Pepper's - something I never at any point did I think that would ever happ5
@@fastfoodreviewandelvistoo Agreed! Wings Over Wembley. I was stunned when the Band On The Run album cover pic came to life on the big screen. Didn't see that coming. Loved that period of arena concerts with lasers. Nothing like it since, as good.
I was born the month after this concert. I would have loved to see this tour! Had I been 27 then though I would have saw this. No question. My favorite tour.
Was there, and later that summer saw same show at old Cleveland municipal stadium. Got nice little cloth replica backstage passes from some local radio station, with a photo of Paul and the radio station Q102 on the top, out in the parking lot after the show, and still have several of them. It was Feb 12 1990 In Cleveland we were got close floor seats and I got a lot of great photos. Back then you could bring a good camera and take photos. Great memories.
Wow! Paul’s transcendence in music should be really defined as a “before” and “after” thing. His solo career, his hits with Wings and his well-known key role in the Beatles really make him the best rocker alive and a no-brainer top 5 of all time. God how good is this old legend 🫶🏻🎸 Hope I can go to one of his concerts one day before he calls it quits.
The first song he opened up with when he played the Liverpool Docks back then...first time i ever saw him live...i will never forget that night.....he was 'fAb'!! :)
I was there also and still have the Q102 cloth stickers they were handing out after the show, and have photos I took during the show. Also went to see shows in Cleveland, Chicago, 2 in Indianapolis, and Detroit. Have T shirts and the free program everyone got.
Outside his current drummer this was a great band. I LOVE his current drummer although I do not know his name. I was about 20-25 rows back on the floor at Cowboy Stadium ( old one) for this concert tour. He was outstanding. I love Flowers in the Dart album too. I love Macca.
This was Macca's first of many oldies tours. Wings Paul and 80's Dad Paul were dead and Beatle Paul returned. The Flowers in the Dirt tunes were the highlight.
This is the decade where Paul's voice started to finally go. He still sounds great here but there is a huge difference in quality of his voice from this live version to the movie version. He was a master of the live performance and loved to go all out with his vocals in the 60s and 70s. He tries here but you can hear the strain sadly. Paul will still go down in my opinion as the most versatile and greatest singer of our time. His vocals were one of a kind and a gift from god.
Saw him 8 times during this tour. Great song. He would run around in a figure of eight.
This is probably my favorite rendition of the band, Paul just exuded joy, happiness and his success level at the time. Powerful stuff here!
I saw this one with a blind date. Great show!
ThIs song ROCKS! Love Paul's voice
Paul was in great shape in this period, and I love this song so much - thanks for sharing.
One of my favourite solo Macca tunes. Love his raspy voice. He looked great at age 47 here.
Oh yes, that tour was perfect in all aspects: the album, setlist, the musicians, and Paul´s music level. Fantastic.
@@daniellima1412 and the sound as well. Solid and meaty. Sadly he doesn't sound like that anymore. And his singing... He was still in top form then.
Its true,
Ah 47 yes
@Michelle MaBelle 🎼 MINE TOO!!
I wish he would play more of this late 1980's early 90's tunes they were great
What a great version this is, Paul really giving it everything, how good is his voice here!!

Same, saw him in Berkeley, loved this song to open the show...which was awesome from start to finish
The same for in Rio, Maracanã Stadium, April 1990.
Same for me Rotterdam 1989, a couple of days after the wall fell.....
Me too. He wrote Rock Show especially to kick off that tour.
Same with me. The first time I saw Paul McCartney live he opened with this song. I love it and it will stay with me.
Am I the only one impressed with the video and audio clarity?!
Listen through some headphones...to really hear the low notes, from the 5th string on his Wal bass.
AWESOME... !!! Paul is a genius.. !!
The brilliant Robbie McIntosh on lead guitar.
Loved Flowers in the Dirt.
One of the best musical geniuses we've ever known
I saw Paul three nights after this show at Market Square Arena in Indianapolis. I have great memories of that night, which was highlighted by the Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End medley. Everyone got a free concert program, which I still have.
My 2 sisters and I went to that concert! I still have my magazine for that night.
Pauls best world tour ever
Great tune!...

Omg...I saw this in LA on Christmas night...I went alone and never knew it! It was probably in my top 3 live shows! ❤

very underrated band for Paul - maybe his best since the Beatles
Whipple Street Bandits, nope Wings in 76 was the absolute best band McCartney has had since the Beatles!
They rocked way more than this version.
His 76 stage show was his best .
@@fastfoodreviewandelvistoo Agreed! Wings Over Wembley. I was stunned when the Band On The Run album cover pic came to life on the big screen. Didn't see that coming. Loved that period of arena concerts with lasers. Nothing like it since, as good.
I agree
💗
I saw this tour a month earlier in the NEC Arena Birmingham UK January 1990....one of the best concerts I've ever seen
LOVED THIS PERIOD IN PAULS CAREER.IN CONCERT HE IS INCREDIBLE.
That tour was really fantastic.
So did I. Wish there was a full version of it and not just snippets. Has anyone checked to see if one exists?
The drumming was the best one he had during the years.
Yeah, Chris is a fantastic drummer
I was born the month after this concert. I would have loved to see this tour! Had I been 27 then though I would have saw this. No question. My favorite tour.

One of his best concert...everything almost perfect.

Best Paul's band
La voz de Paul aquí es tan como la etapa de Wings, fresca, suave y ronca a la vez ❤

He sang better in Off the ground and even better in Flaming Pie. His voice went down from Driving Rain
@@Lippe1610 He sounded terric when i saw him in 2004...
Yip, have to agree.
He still had that growl and power up until the mid 80s.
Only natural I guess.
Just age.
His voice was great around 2002, just listen to maybe I'm amazed in driving tour. It's definitely better than 90s version.
i'd be more than happy to be able to sing like Paul right now.
I was there
solid
❤
Великолепно!
This song live was so much better than the version on the album
Man, this song is relevant to TODAY.
♡
Super rock
👏👏👏👏👏
Is is better to love another
Than to go go for a walk in the dark?

Yeah Yeah Yeah... tässä HÄN tuli!!!!
