Also, DoT is probably GOAT, pantheon level at least, movie of stealing just random sh!t from everything to make an entirely new movie on its own. There was this Korean buffet I went to when I was living in Queens (it was straight out of the 7) and you'd be having some kimbap, fish cake, tteokbokki, and all of a sudden there would be pork chops, fried chicken and some flan and you'd be like "Oh. OK. Guess I'll have that too." That's Den of Thieves.
Pablo owns this movie ! Personally I believe this series should have gone prequel route. You got a whole 2006 robbery story lined up, Ray is heading to jail. You have a script. He’s so damn good that I honestly think it would benefited with the series better.
I may have an answer for the money amount stolen from the Fed and Merriman stuck in traffic: Donnie knew it wasn’t going to be a 30 million heist and he wouldn’t have to share it with Merriman’s crew 🤔 Merriman and his crew was a misdirect and fall guy to take the heat off Donnie because the heist was already secured when the garbage trucks were switched
One question, wasent donnies plan for merrimans crew to get caught knowing a shootout would happen? Maybe he knew about the road work and knew traffic would be a mess
Sucks how Donny’s entire team from original is not in this sequel. I feel they pushed this storyline too quick and would be better for Den of Thieves 3. How do they explain Donny’s fellow thiefs not return?
