A gorgeous looking dish, just like you! I love this recipe ran to the market for green beans, made this as my main dish with rice and fell in love, I ate this till I almost popped. So good!
I’m currently recovering from hand surgery and am trying to feed my body good things to keep up with the healing process. I have some green beans and this looks like the perfect dish to use them for. Thank you for the wonderful video Maangchi! 💖💖💖
Maangchi’s videos are extremely therapeutic. When I feel down or stressed, she gives me a sense of warmth, comfort, and caring just like my mom. Thanks for sharing amazing videos Maangchi ❤️❤️❤️
"When I make this, I keep keep eating until I am full!" So endearing! Maangchi adds brightness to any day by her radiant presentation. Thanks for this recipe too!
I should've watched this this morning. For my dinner today I made green beans with red peppers sauteed with onions and garlic with scrambled eggs and chili. I have leftover green beans. I'll make this tomorrow. It looks so delicious. 🙂
I tried this for lunch just now with some alterations like adding sesame seeds, mustard oil, and rice vinegar and also corn flour slury as I added too much of water. It tasted really good. Also I used red onions.
My Japanese Grandmother used to make these when I was young, but she always added fresh ginger. Every time I make them I miss her so much. Thanks Maangchi!!!
ahhh I was about to say my parents (we're chinese) makes this kind of dish all the time but with the ground pork and with a table spoon of the Lee Kum fermented black bean sauce and a little spicy hot oil. we've done a variation with tofu, cut into small pieces which is also yummy. the blanching of the green beans is probably the most important for that good texture ^^
@@lionesss06 no, i’m being too cheap aka not willing to spend the money or my grandma’s being cheap🤣🤣🤣🤣. I spent my childhood in grandma’s house & we always have 3 side dishes and a soup. The soup’s usually got meat/bone for broth/stock (mostly bones coz me, my cousins, my uncles & grandparents were too lazy to chew on tasteless meat but didn’t wanna waste it.
I made the beans 2 days ago....they taste very nice!! Well done! 👍🏻 I am a Greek chef and in Greece we make them differently. Fry the onions, garlic, potatoes, and carrots in olive oil (half a glass) for 5 minutes all cut. Then we put the beans for another 5 minutes to get the taste of the chopped vegetables. Then we put half a kilo of tomatoes without the peel that we have mashed. Add salt, pepper, and 1 gram of sugar! After 30 minutes of cooking the food is ready! I wish you a good day 🙂
Omg I make the spicy version with ground pork or chicken. Almost same recipe and flavor. It was my breakfast when I worked for a sushi restaurant ran by a Chinese and Korean couple. They would both ask if I had eaten today and I'd say "yes" but they didn't believe me. I never went home hungry. Thanks for sharing the recipe!
I just made these for the first time, and it won't be the last. I substituted coconut oil for the vegetable oil, and added some red pepper chilli flakes for a little heat, and we are loving this. I can see these being a regular item in this household. Thank you so much for all this yumminess.
my boyfriend's probably bought green beans from the store atleast 3 times and each time they get bad because we don't know how to cook them (or want to). Next time we get green beans, I'm sure we'll be using your recipe and hopefully no more green beans will go to waste in our household :) Thanks for sharing!

They're very easy to make, I boil them for 1 minutes ( cuz I actually like them kinda undercooked) and stir fry them with garlic ginger and salt for about 3 minutes, it's delicious, sometimes if I'm feeling very special I add a little bit of honey
