The battle after we both got legendaries was the only time I didn't feel that way. His Zacian swept my whole team. Multiple times. I was so relieved when I finally beat him.
A message to Hop~ Hop Imma be real with you. I did get tired of the battles every 3 friggin seconds. But you had charm and spunk to spare. And when Bede beat you I lost it and wiped the floor with em. Glad you found your way in the end and got Zamazenta. If I pick a tag partner its gonna be you for sure

Imo Hop is a pretty decent rival I enjoyed him in most of the game and has Some ok development during the story my only "Gripe" is i wish he would have a fun battle and i dunno low key fought like lee or something like that and level curve his team near my Pokemon's levels especially in the last battle other than that i think he's Okay and i kinda fuck with him and would definitely be buds with him
Personally, I didn't touched much Wild Area and Raids, while trying not to abuse of EXP crystals, that way my experience was amazing, aside from the first gym leader, any leader was easy or without a challenge, it took a while but Hop ended up even being hard, sometimes having to actually make an strategy to not lose
This whole tournament is a ton of loud crowd synchronization, and this fight feels more synchronized than a gym leader. On a whole other note, how did Hop manage to beat Raihan not only once, but twice? His team is actual dog. Also my favorite of the Sword and Shield ost.

If the player character never was in the story (and somehow Rose never attempted to revive eternatus) Hop would have been able to beat Leon. The theme is 1000000000000% the best in SW and SH, and better than Leons is every way.
I feel so horrible when I lose to hop in the finals, I'm not mad that I lost, I'm mad that hop actually won, but he doesn't get to fight Leon. He just has to watch as I restart and beat him. I don't know what to do it makes me feel so bad!

Why does everyone feels bad for Hop? I didn't felt bad a single time. Just imagine if you were a pokemon trainer, and got beaten by another pokemon trainer, just to hear from him: Oh my god I'm so sorry. It would be so annoying!

If you don't realize, Hop's animation of him throwing his pokeball at the start of the battle is similar to Leon's.
And when he commands a Pokémon to do a move... It's the same. What a legend.
Hop has officially surpassed his brother, with his personality, his charm, and OH MY ARCEUS, THIS THEME!

This theme isn’t my favorite in the franchise, but it has the most meaning to me at least.
Pokemon is best with music because this actually captures the feeling of the end and that wveryone’smwatching

Hop is personally one of the better Friendly Rivals imo. He isn't as good as UsUm Hau or Barry to me but he is still pretty good.
