Realistic Portrait Painting in Acrylic with Step by Step Color Mixing and Blending demonstration in detail. I am using only water mist to keep my paint moist in my palette. No retarder or any kind of medium is used in the entire process.

I watch this channel to calm down from the huffle and buffle that goes around me. I learnt to sketch and shade by myself and just observing. I want to do acrylics but i m scared that I might screw up. Any suggestions? And what is the paper that you use ?
Thank you so much Dhwani for your kind words 🙏 There is a very controlled way of applying colors on a portrait. Please visit my latest children portrait. I am using glazing method to achieve the skintone. Moreover, as you are trying to do painting with acrylics, go for canvas. Paper usually dries even faster. Use a water mist spray to keep your paint moist. Good luck 👍

It's all about working in layers. I work in multiple layers till I get the desired smoothness or texture. Thank you.
@@DebojyotiBoruahArt if you don't mind me asking, how do you deal with layer with such a fast drying medium? I'm dipping my toe into acrylics and don't have a retarder, i was wondering how to best deal with that

How do you blend acrylic colours around nose and cheeks? Mine is not that effectless
Try using hog hair filbert brush for blending with ver less color. I prefer working on layers than applying thick paint at once. Thank you.

I usually use white bristle flat brushes and some round synthetic nylons. Nothing fancy. You can use any brand. Thank you.

I use water mist spray while painting. It works wonderfully. Just try once. Thank you.

Also you do such a beautiful job. I like to do portrait drawing and I only do it in pencil. I'm trying to work up the courage to move to paint..lol I'm too afraid to do oils so i told myself to try starting with acrylics.
I like to do replicas of reinascasance paintings of the virgin Mary. She's so beautiful. So I'm going to try.
