I had a not fun time when I first tried acrylics years ago, but watching you paint this seriously has me wanting to give them another go. You have such a beautiful painterly style! 🎨💙🥰
A beautiful painting. And a refreshing tutorial. It's so helpful and reassuring to hear about your challenges and that you feel scared sometimes when applying your paints. I am learning to paint using acrylics and always feel scared 😊 I didn't realise that even more experienced painters can feel scared too.
Oh! I was waiting to see more acrylic from you. Nice
I wish you had shown your palette and color mixing process. Would have helped much more.
I rewatched this video today and I'm so glad you took another shot at acrylics even if they aren't your favorite. They're such a beautiful medium when you get used to them!

Hello hello I loved this video! You paint amazing.
I would love for you to make a video where you draw anything, or paint with markers or crayons. Or draw with pencils, that would be great!❤
I love your art videos, can you please make more acrylic paint with me videos ❤️
what is this liquid that you use while painting acrylics? I see it helps in keeping acrylics water content intact, Please guide, Thank you so much are You are a wonderful artist!
I started out painting with gouache and watercolors, and I really love using them and have improved quite a bit. Now I am trying acrylics because I'd like to try painting on a bigger canvas. But so far I am really struggling with this medium. Why is it so sticky and hard to spread? 😅 I tried diluting with a bit of water but the paint thins out and becomes transparent. I also tried using a flow medium/improver but somehow I still find the paint hard to spread. I tried using Marie's, Mont Marte, and Art Rangers brands but they all seem to behave the same way. Any tips to make painting with acrylics easier and more enjoyable? Thank you!!
What helped me is using a wood canvas or even watercolor paper at first to adjust to the medium and then switch to a canvas. Or I would prime the canvas with white paint so it was a smoother surface when I went to paint and so thinning the paint a bit was less of an issue. I'm no expert though
Did you apply gesso to your canvas(es) before painting? Gesso helps prime surfaces for a better painting experience. Without gesso the paint will be hard to move (especially on canvas) because the paint will just get stuck in the threading. Gesso does the same for other media as well, but the focus here is painting. There are many videos here on RUclips that can show you the difference between painting on a canvas with and without gesso. From what I've seen even canvases that supposedly come with gesso already applied (by the factory) aren't actually done well, so professionals advise applying additional gesso. Hope this helps. Would love to hear from you if it did.
@@4chopchop yes, I did prep my canvas with gesso. I also experimented with different surfaces (paper, wood) but acrylic still seems so hard to manage. 😅
@@arashinokodomo True, acrylics can be hard to manage at first. You gotta keep experimenting to find your groove. When you said you tried diluting it with water and it became transparent that would indicate that you added far too much water. You really only need a tiny bit of moisture on your brush before you dip into your paint. Or else you break the bonds that keep the paint together at a molecular level. Besides that, does it say on your paint whether it's heavy body acrylic or some other version? Because heavy body acrylics are thicker and harder to spread. Look up the differences between heavy body and regular acrylics etc. here on RUclips. That info should help guide your decisions in the future.
How many hours did you work on this? So beautiful!
🙂👌👌👌
I wish you'd do the part 4 toooooooooooooo
If acrylic on paper is still something you'd like to utilise, I recommend getting some matte medium to finish the painting and stop it being so reflective :v
More acrylic pls
is this like the normal canvas we use? or some other type, I also use canvas but I do not know if there are any types :-)
Omg yessss new videoooo ♡(> ਊ
May I know if this is wet on wet painting?
Hey should I select my RUclips category as education or entertainment? I make art videos as ajart RUclips. I don't know if it should be education or what
4 media, not mediums.
Wish you would’ve showed how to draw the face… kind defeats the point
why do everyone paint and remake the same portraits with the same people/models over and over and over and over?
I’m not sure about others, but she’s doing purposely to get a feel for the differences between each medium she uses. At the end she’ll show all of them and you will get to see the subtle differences between each.
