The part where Luke says: “and the last thing I saw was the eyes of a frightened boy who’s master had failed him” and it cuts to Anakin looking up to Obi-Wan after he was defeated just hit so deep...
I think Driver did the best that he could with the script he was given across all three films in a similar way to Hamil doing his best with TLJ. The acting was always on point. I don't want to say anything bad about Ridley but the facial expressions and physicality didn't always seem believable to me. Her body mechanics seemed off at some times -- I do martial arts and used to be part of a theater club. Ridley's performance just seemed off at times. If I were to rank them based on performance, Isaacs was the best among the protagonists with Boyega being second. I'm not sure if it's the writing of the character or Boyega's performance, but Finn just seemed over the top too many times.

The part where you mixed a marriage story where you made it seem like Ben solo was begging for forgiveness for everything he’s done to Leia was amazing, it had me teary eyed.
Kylo Ren/Ben Solo is the best character in the sequel trilogy in my opinion. He is the last Skywalker. This video is outstanding and captured everything about the Skywalker bloodline perfectly!
Whoever is ashamed to cry watching this, dont be. Although many of us dont like the sequels, this has made me like them and I think deep down all of us know that this is worth appreciating. This video truly is a Masterpiece.
As amazing as this was and yes a true masterpiece, what Disney did to Luke is unforgiveable and I will hate them forever. After waiting 40 years and reading numerous novels and comic books about how powerful Grand Master Jedi Luke Skywalker became, the chance to finally see it on the big screen came, and Disney reached into my soul and ripped a part of it out of me. This video was crazy good but nothing would make me come close to liking the sequel trilogy. Well nothing short of redoing it I mean.
You still replying Cronos? THere's so much meta, the sequels I would argue are a love letter to the OT and the Prequels. In that, Ben Solo represents the OT and Rey the PT. "Two were made, to strengthen the one." The one (what is perceived as the evil emperor, the hated) (the sequels) is the summation of the first two. It contains the essence (force) of both into something we never truly understood (new mega powerful emperor/sequel). What we do see, is that Ben Solo is proof that the Skywalker line is incapable of ever completely succumbing to the Dark in damnation to Death. The Sith Netherworld will never claim a skywalker. We see that he, like his grandfather, is good at fixing things. He never gained the complete cost-free knowledge his grandfather sought (immortality), but he did learn how to save others. But it came at a cost to him, and he chose to pay that cost, as his uncle chose to pay the cost of buying time for the rebellion to escape Kylo Ren.
If they added flashbacks like this in the actual film, it would've had way more impact. Kinda like what they've done in Cobra Kai with adding flashbacks to the Karate Kid movies.
I kind of disagree, in Cobra Kai it makes sense because it's Daniel and Johnny reliving their past, it's a visualisation of the characters thoughts and memories. Cutting between Kylo and Anakin, as beautiful as it is in this video, would only work in the scenes where Palpatine is manipulating Kylo.
nah disagree. It works for cool videos like this, but in films, you're supposed to be able to make those connections on your own, not have it all spelled at for you.
@@Eldaino999 Well that's the thing, they failed to do that in the sequel trilogy. This video made me feel more emotion for Ben and Rey's kiss scene because it put into perspective how it resembled Anakin/Padme and Solo/Leia.
19:05 if Anakin was a force ghost in this movie I can imagine this is what he was probably thinking when Palpatine threw his grandson down the hole and was powerless to help him.

Watching this gave me a new respect for the sequels. I still wish they were more well managed. This just made me realize that there was so much potential with these stories that we missed out on.
THis is so beautiful, the family section of it at the end got me so bad. I also love how the voices guide Ben through Exegol with the "looks out" and "jump", I love that so much!! And a major thank you for including Cal Kestis audio. It always saddens me whenever people forget about him in Star Wars videos.
" *That Lightsaber... it belongs to ME!* "... after Luke died, it did indeed belong to him. But that isn't Vader's Lightsaber, *it is that of Anakin.* The irony in that is... just... sad. The whole Trilogy would have gained much from having Hayden Christensen reprise the Anakin Skywalker role as a Force Ghost. Hell, it always looked like Ben was *less* dark and more confused after touching the remains of Vader's helmet. It could have been a scene where his *ACTUAL GRANDFATHER* told him that we are luminous beings, not this crude matter... and that if it's true that he wants to forget the past, kill it if he has to... then why is he clinging to the past so strongly?
Holy shit! I’m not a big fan of the sequels at all, but man this is good. Kylo/ben is the best character throughout the sequels, and I wish they focused on him so much more.
Now that is the ending the Star Wars saga deserved. I thought that after “The Chosen One” no video will be better, I was wrong this is the best Star Wars fanmade I’ve ever seen. May the force be with you.

I loved the original version. I love this version too. Thank you, I watched it again, cried again and sent it to more friends. Since I first saw it at age 6 Star Wars has captivated me and gotten me through so many difficult times. It literally started me down my life's path of being a composer because I loved John Williams' music so much. You have managed to perfectly encapsulate everything that makes it so important to us here and in all of your creations, and I'm so grateful.
Thank you so much Christy. It’s so touching to read how much of an impact Star Wars and John Williams has had in your life. I for one share this same experience and am glad I made this video to not only express my love for the universe, but to bring us all together again no matter how imperfect some of the movies are. I look forward to what the future brings for this universe and Im sure we’ll all be waiting with fresh eyes for a new story. May the Force be with you!

It’s been a while since I’ve watched this so I wasn’t expecting to be absolutely pummelled with chills by the opening minute. I was shaking, tearing up, grinning, and an absolute emotional wreck by the end. What a magnificent edit. The amount of EFFORT put into this is cinematic on its own. This deserves all the views.
Ok so when I saw a 10 minutes Kylo den edit, I thought the amount of dedication that went into those types of videos couldn’t be topped. And then, out of nowhere, I find this 27 MINUTE BEN SOLO EDIT. And I know it wasn’t just Ben solo, but Rey, and Anakin, Luke, and all of Skywalker. I think it’ll be about 20 years before I find a better Star Wars edit. And I would like this video 50 thousand times if I could. Incredible work man, keep it up.
I have to say: I always said I won't watch this video since I hate the sequels. But as I rewatched "Kenobi" RUclips put this in autoplay. I didn't realized it. I even paused my game. I want to say thank you for showing me all the good scenes from these movies in one video and make me cry again. I cried during all of your videos and I want to say thank you for that!

When you strip away all the crap, all of Disney's goofey humour, terrible writing, all of their irrelevant characters and just focus on the Skywalkers and the Palpatines. There is a deep, deep story about friendship, love, pain, loss, redemption and above all destiny.
I am 45 years old and I have all my starwars games, films, books and I was Ijou'ki Shi in Starwars Galaxies and I cryed like a little baby meanwhile my red head watches that grandios film! You gave me back an reminder.... I watched the films on the GlasTV with 6 manual electric buttons on the TV itself in the livingroom from my parents and it was a great feeling to be in a far far Galaxy...... 😭😭😭 Thx you for this ❤️👌
When people were saying Ben had temper tantrums and was emo I was always thinking about this. The amount of pain, suffering, conflict and torment he was being put through. His anger was at a fever pitch. He was so twisted and seduced by the emperor that he was rage personified. How much can one man take? And when he murdered his own father it only added to that. A tragic character arc and Adam did such a fantastic job with it. He was every bit as confused, lied to and torn apart as Anakin was mentally and emotionally. And we all saw what Anakin did in the aftermath of that. And Rey was so misunderstood, chalked up to a Mary Sue. People not thinking and realizing that the Jedi stories were myth and legend. Her understanding that she was something more and through experimenting realizing her power. I never saw her as a Mary Sue, I saw her as a powerful woman who realized her true potential and used it wisely. She had been fending for herself by herself for over a decade plus, knew how to defend herself, been taking apart literal star destroyers (of course she knew about ships and parts especially the important parts) and who knows what else she had endured being what amounts to a prisoner on a harsh planet Edit: And in the beginning Luke’s worst days were him not being able to become a fighter pilot like his friends or having to shop for droids with his Uncle. He destroyed the Death Star with his feelings and pulled a lightsaber from the ice to cut himself down with his feelings. Rey wasn’t a new revelation in Star Wars history. Force sensitive people have always been a thing. It reaches out, guides, works in mysterious ways even. Hence the chosen one…
@@dungeon-wn4gw Exactly. Keep Luke exiling himself serious, don't have him toss the lightsaber or drinking green milk, keep him in his struggle, have him come back with the badass force projection, don't kill him and return in nine stronger than fucking ever.

despite many awesome moments 4:41 is hands down my favorite. for whatever reason Hayden's light voice contrasted against the deeper "dark side" characters is fantastic.
This is a good summary of all the movies before you binge watch all of them! And when you start the first movie, utter this, “This is where the fun begins!”
I cried. And it shows how much better the whole trilogy would have been if they developed Ben and Rey more. I screamed when I saw Ben turning around and looking at anakin. And started shedding tears when the jedi guided him to Rey.

This is possibly the best Star Wars tribute ive ever seen. Absolute masterpiece!
Whoever is ashamed to cry watching this, dont be. Although many of us dont like the sequels, this has made me like them and I think deep down all of us know that this is worth appreciating.
This video truly is a Masterpiece.
I'll comment once my eyes are less swollen 😭
Chewy crying man, every SINGLE time I tear up

Nah they’re not like that.
God just wait til the special edition edits are made when Disney tries to *fix* the sequels
19:05 if Anakin was a force ghost in this movie I can imagine this is what he was probably thinking when Palpatine threw his grandson down the hole and was powerless to help him.
3:29 was a damn clean cut, because it didn't immediately scream "THIS IS AN ANIMATED SCENE!!" when I saw it. great job!
I may be one of the few who luv the sequels and Ben solo is one of my favorite characters ❤️❤️❤️
Oh you didn’t have to do that! It looked great the first time! But I’m glad you wanted to keep it strictly Star Wars. Keep it up!

Watching this gave me a new respect for the sequels. I still wish they were more well managed. This just made me realize that there was so much potential with these stories that we missed out on.
The true last skywalker. The best character in the sequels by far
I never cried with such a passion and joy in my life
THis is so beautiful, the family section of it at the end got me so bad.
But that isn't Vader's Lightsaber, *it is that of Anakin.*
The irony in that is... just...
I didn't even notice these scenes and voices from other fandoms. They're fits with the story and they didn't stop me from enjoying this masterpiece!
14:03 this part absolutely slaps! Even though Anakin never actually made an appearance (except as a force voice).
STOPPP OMGGG THE PADME/LEIA DYING PARALLELS 😭😭😭😭
Can’t even count how many times I’ve come back to this vid 🔥
I do not cry easily, this made me cry three times
This... Is so epic.... It makes me want to cry. All of Star Wars. Together. Something I've always wanted to see. ; ; Thank you so much for making and sharing this!!! Huge fan now. ; ;
I loved the original version.
Man this just is just perfect. Kylo is my favorite character and its just so ugh, chefs kiss!
Absolute CHILLS!
The scene with Anakin talking to Ben is it. That's what we needed.
Great job HFP!!!!!
Coming back to this and there are tears STREAMING down my face! What a ride!
Thank you so much Katie❤️
This is why Star Wars is the greatest cinematic creation ever. You did an awesome job on this!
You did more in 30 minutes than Disney did in 3 movies. 10/10
I have to say:
I always said I won't watch this video since I hate the sequels. But as I rewatched "Kenobi" RUclips put this in autoplay. I didn't realized it. I even paused my game.
I want to say thank you for showing me all the good scenes from these movies in one video and make me cry again. I cried during all of your videos and I want to say thank you for that!
Ayyyyy I am so amazed to see how far you have come over the years. This is truly an outstanding reflection on how your editing and style of videos has transformed over this channels journey. You are truly an amazing content creator. I have been here since the first 8K and will be here till 1M. Keep on doing what your doing, good job.
Thank you so much!
When you strip away all the crap, all of Disney's goofey humour, terrible writing, all of their irrelevant characters and just focus on the Skywalkers and the Palpatines. There is a deep, deep story about friendship, love, pain, loss, redemption and above all destiny.
I'd make an additional point that the impact is lost when he don't even know Rey is a Palpatine until the last half of the final movie.
In few words, all the new things. Goof humour has been in SW since Episode IV, you know. Not all of us are so intolerant to new things
@@maludaboin3491 Amen
So basically if you ignore the entire sequel trilogy there is good stuff in Star Wars, I think we can all agree on that.

10:27-14:05 is what keeps bringing me back. I watch that over and over again every day. Perfect scenes. Perfect score
Good lord this hit hard, harder than it should've. You made the ending trilogy look good!
She had been fending for herself by herself for over a decade plus, knew how to defend herself, been taking apart literal star destroyers (of course she knew about ships and parts especially the important parts) and who knows what else she had endured being what amounts to a prisoner on a harsh planet
Edit: And in the beginning Luke’s worst days were him not being able to become a fighter pilot like his friends or having to shop for droids with his Uncle.
True
This channel is creating fans for the new trilogy one video at a time lol
This video is so awesome that makes me so sad that the sequels ideas where so poorly written imo :(
@@noseqponer12
The best idea was Luke becoming depressed. However it went way too far into humiliating Luke.
@@dungeon-wn4gw Exactly. Keep Luke exiling himself serious, don't have him toss the lightsaber or drinking green milk, keep him in his struggle, have him come back with the badass force projection, don't kill him and return in nine stronger than fucking ever.
