It’s amazing how a long haul truck driver like myself can now navigate with ease through philosophical arguments(just as I do through tough icy roads) and point out fallacies in more educated people’s ideas thanks to hours spent listening to these videos while driving the rig. Truly grateful! When I go on dates with women they can’t believe I’m a trucker and are convinced I represent academia :)

      Oof seriously?
Idk, here's a generic list or something to consider maybe, and importantly cannot stress enough the importance of reading these folks _first hand_ for yourself since their ideas and claims are constantly papered over, simplified, and misrepresented (by the folks in this very video in fact), often not even intentionally and merely as a result of consequential exposure to certain aspects and not others.
Necessary: Aristotle, Plato (a slight exaggeration merely to demonstrate the widespread influence/importance, but it's often said that most philosophy is just a footnote to Plato at this point).
"Enlightenment" core/historical context (if you take a poli sci course these will be the people you read): Kant (Critique of Pure Reason), Thomas Hobbes (Leviathan), Jean-Jacques Rousseau, John Locke (2nd Treatise)
Often skipped despite having key insights, mostly because of reactionary conceptions of their work: Hegel (Phenomenology of Spirit), Marx (at the very least the manifesto - something this Peterson guy couldn't even do for that Zizek debate apparently despite it being a pamphlet and readable in an afternoon), Nietzsche, Heidegger (to use one of his concepts, the purpose of thinking about this stuff is to get a sense of 'dasein'), Adorno & Horkheimer (Dialectic of Enlightenment), Sartre, Carl Schmitt (actual nazi, but has some very good insights regarding the function of politics in The Concept of the Political, insights that were/are being used extensively whether folks are conscious of this or not) Guy DeBord (Society of the Spectacle), Baudrillard, Mark Fisher. Maybe once the stigma generated by pervasive and ossified cold war propaganda is revealed for what it is, and an understanding of "the left" is actually understood rather than obscured, misrepresented, and strawmanned (the most obvious conflation being that the Democratic party is in any way shape or form "the left"), check out Lenin who effectively predicted the last century in Imperialism, the Highest Stage of Capitalism and like most of his other works.
Contemporary people that aren't hacks and importantly have a huge historical awareness that is always elaborated and grounded extensively: Noam Chomsky, Chris Hedges, Cornel West, Aaron Mate, Ben Norton, Max Blumenthal

But it’s crazy, in retrospect, that this is what it took to put on an election in the United States of America."

@@elias_xp95 So I went back to the article to make sure, but I don't see any sources for any of what the author laid out. Theres a lot of he said she said and allusions to various things. It seems fair to me, to call the whole article "The Author's Opinion." So at the end of the article when we reach the conclusion (a judgment or decision reached by reasoning) the author states that "Democracy won in the end. The will of the people prevailed."
People are using this article as evidence that Democracy was subverted and the will of the people was criminally subverted. The judgement of the person who wrote it is exactly the opposite of that. So what I am getting at, is that the only proof people are offering up to support their claims, incontrovertibly disagrees with those claims.

Yes, good point. Unfortunately, Dr. P misstated the case regarding the election 'steal'. It did not require 'widespread' corruption on a massive scale, it only required surgically targeted precincts, and suspending the rule of law under the cover of COVID, as well as vast amount of money poured in by Zuckerberg et al to carry if off in selected Dem areas. He also misstates the actuality of the lawsuits and their true outcomes and significance. He obviously has not had the time or interest to look into all in depth himself and is drawing his inferences only indirectly. Peter Navarro offers the best documentation, clearly showing how the 'steal' was accomplished. And, as you say, fair audits and select forensic examinations should easily dispel the 'lies', if that's what they are. Nevertheless, this is NOT going away. The truth will come out.

Forgot to mention the extra-constitutional changes to election law made by bypassing the state legislatures, the fact that the judiciary did not want to disenfranchise voters (which they ended up doing anyhow) and that the cases were most often dismissed on spurious procedural technicalities rather than the evidence. The dissent, including the Chief Justice, in the Wisconsin State Supreme Court, is pretty telling on some of these issues. Other than that, pretty good analysis. How could he not see how deeply the SJW/woke/critical legal theorists have penetrated the law schools and hence the legal profession? Add to that the common lack of courage in the public square and you have a recipe for disaster. Do I think Trump won? I have no idea.
