    Hi Cam, another great video :-). As you know I love watching them.... The TK 2000 chiller looks great and the heat outlet is a fantastic feature! It would be interesting to see how you clean the inside of a chiller ;-)

    It is important to have lots of hose doing this job, lol enjoyed that one even if it wasn't intentional.

    G’ day Cam, long time no speak dude, great install as always and Teco are the best out there on the market for chillers, I’m about to upgrade my current DD chiller to a Teco 500 and seeing your Vid I can’t wait to get it. Currently heading into early summer here in the UK and the thermometer is on the rise mate. Cheers Cam 😀👍👍

    Keep the great video's coming. I'm also about to hook a Teco chiller unit onto my tank (different way, but same thing). Why not add a few quick disconnects to make future maintenance easier?

    Great video. One thing though, the new R290 does not include a heater. At least not mine. It came with a note from Teco saying they cannot have a heater in the new R290. So everyone check that before buying!

    Nice work, I’ve got a Cade 2100 with teco 2000 in the side cabinet, it’s connected to my return manifold should the outlet water return back into the sump on the other end?

    • @GalleryAquaticaTV
      @GalleryAquaticaTV  Год назад +1

      You might find you get slightly better temperature control if the chiller return goes back into the sump down the end with the drainage pipes and filter socks, but it doesn’t make a huge difference. I usually just return the chiller hose where it looks neatest and is most secure. Cam

    • @GalleryAquaticaTV
      @GalleryAquaticaTV  4 года назад +1

      In Australia almost every reef tank needs a chiller. Most houses have aircon, but even this rarely prevents the need for chillers. Cam

    What is your water turn over? How many gallon per hour? Thanks!

    • @GalleryAquaticaTV
      @GalleryAquaticaTV  Год назад +1

      It’s normally quite low with these chillers, around 200 GPH. Cam

    • @soulnight1606
      @soulnight1606 Год назад

      @@GalleryAquaticaTV so you changed your pump as well to go that low? How does it fit the rule: at least 4 times turn over per hour when they allow up to 2000L aquarium?
      211 gph is about 800L/h. That would mean we can only use for aquarium 800/4=200L ?

    • @GalleryAquaticaTV
      @GalleryAquaticaTV  Год назад +1

      @@soulnight1606 I’ve never heard the rule 4 times turnover. There are so many other factors (mainly ambient temp and heat load) that I don’t normally worry about calculations as much as trial and error. I have had problems with chillers in the past when I try to push too much water through them so I’m probably a little conservative with my flow rates. Cam
