This one is from Xavier Alcarez, and the question is, "What is the best way to manage six to eight clients' "social media platforms?"
2:00 There are tools like Hootsuite, which I'm guessing he mentioned in a comment. There's also Buffer. There's also MeetEdgar. I prefer MeetEdgar for a lot of stuff because it'll automatically retweet, mention your stuff over time. Here's the thing that most social media managers miss. You create content, and you share it out on the social web, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn. And that's it.
4:30 Consider sharing your content over time. And MeetEdgar will do this all automatically for you, so that's why I love that tool. Another thing that I would do is share your content manually on certain social sites. I found that on Facebook if you share content through Buffer and Hootsuite, the reach is way lower for that same piece of content than if you just manually shared it on Facebook and you schedule it out. Because on Facebook, and you can schedule out your posts.
They already have that feature built in. They want you to come to Facebook. That's how they make ad revenue. They do not make ad revenue by you using Hootsuite to push a message out on Facebook.
5:00 If you want to manage a lot of clients. So you can use the tools, do Facebook manually. You also want to start creating standardized reporting. So, how's your follower count? Is it growing each month? Is it decreasing? How many clicks did you get? Highlight any amazing comments, shares, any notable things that happened. You should do this for every single network. Once you create the standardized reporting, you can then plug and play for every single client.
5:30 You have to create your content calendars, scheduling, maybe you can streamline your image creation by using tools like Canva. There are so many tools out there to make social media marketing easy. You can use tools like Social Blade to get stats, VidIQ's another one. There's a lot of Instagram tools out there, like Social Upgrade. You can pick whatever ones you want. But what I found is, the easiest way to manage all the clients, and I know this is cheating and it won't work for a lot of you guys, is to have your clients in the same industry.
6:00 In general, with social media marketing, you're probably going to take home whatever clients you can get. But those are just general tips and tricks. I would also have weekly calls with your clients. You can move it to every other week, but the moment you start doing calls, like once a month, or once every two or three months, and there's not regular check-is. Even if it's not calls, like emails, they're gonna be like, "Oh, you're not doing anything. "Why should I keep paying you?" So even if you're doing work, you still need to communicate and show the work you're doing, not just in the monthly report, but on a regular basis.

When I schedule posts on automated scheduling tools (I use Blog2Social), how often should I post, and how many times?
It depends on a lot of different factors. You should test to see what works best for your audience.

I do it manually. Tools are not good enough to properly respond and engage people. Not yet anyway :)
Wow. Do you get an email notification each time someone makes a comment? That would seem overwhelming. So does constantly logging in to all of your social channels and checking for notifications. I don’t have any samples but the most important thing that clients want to see are the numbers. Growth, ROI, etc.
I would create them in Google Drive, because the layout is flexible - you have Google Docs (word processor) and Google Sheets (spreadsheets). You also have the ability to download directly into PDF for sharing or inviting clients to the document. So many cool options and of course you can access from anywhere on any device.
The tricky thing is just coming up with a nice layout. I would say, first of all, keep it clean and stick to only the relevant numbers. Start simple, you can always add more as you decide clients find new metrics helpful. I am in the process of setting up reports for SMM as well as PPC. It's a lot of work, but it's part of the cost of doing business. Perhaps you should consider looking at other people's reports as kind of a layout inspiration. Just remeber to keep it lean and clean. People are busy, don't try to trick them by having a million numbers. They might think you're super smart from the get go, but gradually, they'll think that those numbers are just static and stop caring. I can't count how many clients lost all interest in Google Analytics within a week or 2 of looking at all the stats. People just don't have the mental space for all that data.

Had NO idea about the reach difference between posting directly in Facebook vs Hootsuite, though makes sense. Is that also the case with Twitter? I do my scheduled tweets using Hootsuite.

Either use a tool like Buffer or build up your team to be able to handle too many clients. Too many clients is a great problem to have :)

Hey Neil, I’m starting a niche blog in a space that’s mainly dominated by local service business, its the “(service) near me” type of search. Can you rank above local service businesses on google as just a blog? If so, what are your best tips?
It’s possible if you create amazing content, understand the keywords in your space, and focus on local SEO.
Does the length of facebook post also affect the reach....like I make a post with a detailed info of the topic, does it reach better than just sharing the topic and the link?

Hey Neil. One issue I have is that my website is for a business that does physical therapy and other things, but it's not really ranking for any associated terms. Instead it ranks for our blogs on MMA and boxing. I checked Ahrefs and even that says our top 10 competitors are other combat websites. So, how do I make Google recognise the site as one for physical therapy and not a combat sports blog?
There are quite a few things you can do for this. Optimize your articles and site content and working on other on-page SEO tactics can help Google distinguish what your content is about

Wonder for about this issue since the Facebook privacy policy hit earlier this year.
Which I actually normally use the Hootsuite and some other stuff such as Adespresso etc.
But the FB leaks seems to make every platform got an effect even in website such as Google analytics.
Question is that shall I still stick to them as not so sure whether what is the best decision to make for my team.
As it is not easy to get someone to learn one web app analytics such as Hootsuite.
What I still believe is that provide best site and with the great seo structure and then find the way to manage the content to spread all around each platform. Does this way will be better and then for the social network shall I leave Hootsuite as it not cheap.
Please advise. Will have a look through the Meetedgar.

Hey there! I currently post content on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and RUclips. I do vlogs on RUclips. And I post regular fashion photos on my Instagram + comedy clips. & fashion on my Facebook account. While on TikTok I mainly post comedy. I was planning on starting to start making music and promoting it on my platforms, however I am planning on using a stage name that differs from my current media names. I’m not familiar with this niche so the best advice I can give you is to do a lot of market and competitor research to understand your space and what’s working

"Kim Kardashian News" I have celebrity news site, which is in google news index we cover latest news stories that appear in google news section but failed to appear on Top Stories section even when we are the first ones to publish. There is no decent information about this topic on the web. Even google news forums have failed to solve this issue. Many new media sites are facing the same issue.
How much should you ask from the clients to manage their social media?
In Facebook I can create many pages from my personal account. Let’s say I have created 10 FB business pages. I want to create one Instagram for every Fb page. But every one of 10 Instagram pages requires a different phone number. It doesn’t make sense. Am I doing wrong ?

I just noticed on several websites from different countries and even continents with an interesting traffic drop. As much as the websites get traffic from social media as lowest they get from the search engines and most particularly Google. So my question is why after getting a lot of traffic from the social media the websites keywords ranking went down the drainage just in a week? Just a note: the social media traffic was 100% organic with now spam or so...
I haven't seen a drop this week on the sites I manage. What niche are the sites you are referring to?
The sites are in the IT niche and more specific ITSM, ITOM, APM, HR integration services. I notice that on different sites at the beginning of 2017 and this was mostly on sites in eastern Europe (Bulgaria, Serbia, Ukraine, Macedonia).
